Boudoir Photography - fine art portraits of an [intimate] nature.

Boudoir photography can seem a bit scary... to be so exposed in not normal for most of us. Rest assured, you will quickly forget your are half dressed and it will be FUN! I have photos of all my clients cracking up! (and my kids tell me I'm not funny.... hmmmm.) So to prep for a session consider a few things...
a week or so before your session:

Hair - do you need a touch up or trim?

Skin - moisturize moisturize moisturize! I personally really like Neutrogena's Sesame Seed Body Oil. It's light and aborbs quickly. Inexpensive, it can be found just about anywhere, including most groceries. Pay special attention to elbows, knees and feet!

To tan or not to tan... that is the question. Personally, I say no. Natural tanning is so bad for your skin and makes you appear older than you are, and "fake and bake" tanning looks orange in photos... so please no tans. If you are already tan, try to avoid tanning the week before your session.


A day or so before session:

Manicure/Pedicure. French manis and pedis are elegant and photograph beautifully. Of course the hot and sexy red is always a favorite too... but unless it compliments all of your chosen outfits, maybe save it for your toes.

Now for the fun stuff!

Ideas for what to bring/wear:
High Heels - a couple of pair for variety.
Cowboy boots
Tall, sexy boots
A great pair of low rise jeans
Your husbands white, button up shirt…or any shirt
Your husbands ties
Your husbands hats
Does your husband have hobbies you would like to incorporate?
IE: guitar, football, sports, poker, cigars, golf clubs, sport jerseys

Accessories:
Pearl Necklace(s)…long or short
Jewelry to go with each outfit…jewelry looks great with lingerie too
Cowboy hat
And of course, lingerie, corsets, bustiers etc.
White and/or black tank top shirt…or any color
Thigh high stockings/ garter belts
A variety of undies…boy cut, lace, high hip, string, etc

Misc:
Special music that makes you feel sensual, beautfiul and desired!
Think themes: No clothing on but an apron that reads “Kiss the Cook” with oven mitts in hand. French Maid outfit. Trench coat or fur with very little else on.
Fur throws (I have a chocolate brown fur throw already)
Long silky gloves
False Eyelashes
Make-up (especially important if you are doing your own)
Perfume in a pretty bottle.
