I can't say enough great things about McKenzie. From day one she went beyond the parameters of photography to help with our wedding, offering insights and support when needed and really taking the time to understand my husband and I as a couple before shooting our wedding.

Our wedding day was chaotic and McKenzie handled it with ease. She was able to find solutions to little problems (missing shoelaces, help with a bowtie) and is clearly an experienced professional who knows what she's doing. She was also super skillful at making sure we captured a variety of wedding party photos and a first look among other things.

In addition to her professionalism I have to say I am simply blown away by her talent. All of her photos look like magazine editorial quality and her use of light and ability to capture candid moments is beyond impressive. Couldn't have possibly picked a better wedding photographer. I don't think one exists? On top of all that she's just a really cool person and a dream to work with.

Working with McKenzie was a dream. Not only did our photos turn out amazing, she helped keep our wedding day on track. She was fun to work with and helped both my husband and I feel comfortable in front of the camera. Everyone at our micro-wedding loved her and wouldn't stop talking about what a great experience it was to have her there taking photos. We keep joking that we want to get married again just so we can get more amazing photos taken by McKenzie.

Planning a wedding in 2020 came with a lot of uncertainty but hiring barebones co. was the best decision we made and truly a bright side to the event! McKenzie’s energy is so positive and relaxed. We were crazy nervous for photos but she made us feel comfortable and provided a lot of creative direction that helped us pose while still looking natural. We had our gallery back in less than 2 weeks and she sent us over previews the same night. I am blown away by how stunning our photos turned out!

With McKenzie you get so much more than a photographer and beautiful photos though. Her time management kept us on track and when my dress straps became unbearably tight halfway through the night, she came up with three redesign ideas and even helped me pin it in place!

Mckenzie made our wedding day so so special. Even our friends and family are still raving about how great she was and could not agree more! Hire her!!

I literally created an account on Wedding Wire just to write this review. I do not have enough good things to say about McKenzie - my Dad even asked if she could come back to do family photos sometime in another year! She was so flexible with Covid restrictions, locations changing, and kept us updated. She took the time to scope out the locations of where we would take photos the day of, and clearly did her research. The photos turned out absolutely lovely (as you would expect, if you've even looked at her gallery - it's gorgeous). I have always felt a bit uncomfortable in front of the camera but she made it so easy and natural, just what you would want for your special day!

To say McKenzie exceeded my dream of how my wedding pics might turn out, is an understatement. They look straight out of Vogue. I looked through her work and loved the mood and dreamy look she was able to capture. She has a true vision that doesn’t just rely on whatever fancy camera the photographer has... she has the eye and vision to create a mood and a story as well. She was also super down to earth, and kind! She had my photos back to me in no time, and even sent me a few previews the same day to tide me over! Hiring McKenzie was the absolute #1 best decision I made for my wedding. The photos say it all!! But also, price& professionalism were 10 out of 10, and she braved extreme cold and wind like a champ. She was SO great to work with and I will absolutely be hiring her again.

Bare Bones Co was a dream of a photographer and vendor. She was diligent, timely in responses, supportive, helpful, and the kind of photographer who kept us feeling comfortable and like she was just a part of the day. Our photos are the kind that evoke similar emotions we felt on that day- the joy, anticipation, love, and happiness. We asked Bare Bones Creatives to shoot our engagement photos and were blown away by how easy and comfortable she made us feel! We enjoyed it so much, right then and there we asked her to shoot our wedding photos, which were a year from then. We are so glad we did because she did an amazing job! The best part about her is how relaxed and easy she makes it seem, while taking control and getting people where they need to be for those perfect moments. I didn’t have to worry about a thing! She is truly great and captures true moments while making it look spectacular!
