I don’t naturally love being in front of the camera. During our shoot, I was feeling self-conscious—navigating some perimenopausal weight gain and not feeling like my most radiant self. But Anna saw beyond that. She saw me. And helped me see me, too.

When the photos came back, I was floored. They weren’t just beautiful in a visual sense—they carried something deeper. Truth. Warmth. Me. Friends and clients told me these were their favorite photos I’ve ever taken. That says a lot.

Her way of being is a gift—but that’s not where her talents end. Anna is also a brilliant creative. She brings a higher perspective, an intuitive sense of beauty, and an uncanny ability to capture the precious, fleeting moments that connect us to the sweetness of life. She notices the in-between spaces where something real lives.

I was truly sad when she moved to Bainbridge Island—it meant I couldn’t work with her again in LA. But if you have the chance to step in front of her lens, do it. It’s not just a photo shoot. It’s an experience of being seen—and celebrated—for who you truly are.

Anna is not just an excellent photographer, she's a sensitive and perceptive artist. Her work reflects a keen eye for emotion and humanity. That's why her portrait of me is my favorite anyone has taken. It's what I use on my website and whenever I need to send a headshot for anything. It was her idea to do a diptych instead of a single portrait – and chose a location where we could experiment with the natural setting in a way that produced such a unique and special result. I wasn't just getting my portrait taken, I felt seen. Thank you Anna!
