Isn’t hiring a wedding planner a luxury? I’ve heard it’s very expensive, and I’m on a tight budget already!  This is perhaps the biggest myth in the wedding industry. The fact is that the cost of a wedding planner should be considered a line item in your wedding budget, not a cost added on top of your budget. It’s important for you to know that hiring a wedding planner insures that every dollar you spend is spent wisely. From developing the budget, to helping the couple stay on budget, to getting the very best prices for every product and service purchased, a planner’s help means you get the most for the least. We know the questions to ask to be sure there are no budget surprises, and the advice to save you money at every step of the process. We’ve spent hundreds of hours developing contacts in every area of wedding planning, hours you won’t have to spend yourself when you hire a planner. Industry studies show that hiring a planner can help a couple save up to 65%, and perhaps that’s reason enough to hire one. Beyond the potentially dramatic cost savings, however, a planner also alleviates the stress that accompanies planning a wedding. She is your advocate and your partner in realizing the wedding you’ve always wanted. Remember, the cost of the planner should be a part of your budget, not an addition to it. Especially today, hiring a planner just makes sense. Moment to Moment believes that every bride should have the privilege of saving money and relaxing while she’s planning the most important day of her life. Are your fees based on a percentage of the total wedding budget? Our Full Wedding Coordination & Partial Wedding Coordination Packages are based on a percentage of the total for budgets over a certain amount. All of our other packages are priced at a flat fee, and our ala carte menu of services can be contracted at an extremely affordable hourly rate. We guarantee that our prices are the most competitive in the area.

What is your deposit & payment policy?  Moment to Moment requires a minimal deposit (less than $200 for most packages), at the time of the execution of our Services Agreement; the deposit is based on the package that best suits your needs. Final payment is due no earlier than the date of the wedding rehearsal. In order to help keep our costs as low as possible, and continue to pass our savings on to our clients, we do not currently accept credit cards. We do, however, accept payment via Paypal, which allows you to use your credit card if you so choose (although we do advise our clients to use caution with credit cards for wedding-related payments!). We also accept personal checks for deposits, and cashier’s checks for final payment. Returned checks do incur a fee.

I think I may want to contract for your Rehearsal and Day Of Package, but my wedding is less than a month away. Am I too late? This is one of our most popular packages, and we can contract for this service as little as two weeks prior to your wedding. It’s an extremely affordable option that will allow you, your groom, your families, your wedding party and all of your guests the ability to simply show up and enjoy the wedding. Moment to Moment takes care of every single detail, from organizing and coordinating all of the details of the ceremony, overseeing your vendors and your reception set up (insuring that it’s set up to your exact specifications), handling distribution of final payments to your vendors (if you so choose), keeping track of where your vendors are at any given moment, coordinating the flow of guests at the ceremony and the reception, overseeing gift collection, making sure your vendors aren’t eating or drinking on your tab, and that your bar costs are kept as low as humanly possible utilizing oversight of your caterer or bar venue ... every single, solitary detail is covered, and if a problem arises in any area, we take care of it - in almost every eventuality, you won’t even be aware there is a problem!

Do you offer vendor referrals? We are proud to offer referrals to vendors with whom we have direct experience, or that have been recommended to us by our clients. If a client requests a referral for a type of vendor we don’t currently have on file, Moment to Moment will personally contact a number of that type of vendor and gather pertinent information, including unscreened references, and pass those along to our clients.

Do you accept or offer vendor referral fees? Our Code of Ethics offers our clients the assurance that we will never work with a vendor who offers a fee for our referral to them; in addition, Moment to Moment pledges to never offer a referral fee to other vendors who refer their clients to us.

Explain a situation that came up at a recent wedding that you were instrumental in solving. At a recent wedding of 200+ guests, it quickly became apparent that the caterer was grossly understaffed for the number of attendees. Moment to Moment’s staff immediately became involved, and worked to complete the set-up of the venue prior to the arrival of the bridal party, and over the course of the evening, Moment to Moment’s staff bussed tables, served meals, refilled beverages, and attended to the needs of the guests. The bride and groom, and their families, were unaware of the variety of issues that arose as a result of the caterer’s negligence. After the completion of the event, Moment to Moment advocated a partial refund from the caterer for the bride’s family, which the caterer agreed to do.

Do you offer any publications containing tips for brides? We offer a range of wedding tips, called Wise Wedding Words, to help brides avoid the many potiental pitfalls that are part and parcel of the planning process. From shopping for your wedding dress to selecting a caterer or photographer, we’re confident that WWW will save every bride who utilizes them time, money and heartache!
