So where do I begin. I was not in the market for a wedding planner, as Mother of the Bride I am not easy to please and I thought I could put this wedding together on my own without the added expense. So, turning this wedding over to a perfect stranger was a difficult decision, but one that was necessary for my own sanity. With the bride working nights as a nurse, my son in law getting deployed to the Middle East, COVID restrictions and the unexpected closing of our hotel and rehearsal dinner venue the need for a professional planner was essential. After reviewing the many planners on WeddingWire, we decided on Shining Moments Event Planning. My initial meeting with Zupenda, I gave her a long list of our needs and wants, and she never batted an eye. That’s when I realized she was going to bring a level of uniqueness and professionalism to our event. Within 24 hours of our initial conversation, Zupenda and her team took over. Yes, Zupenda has a team! A group of five extraordinary ladies who worked this wedding as if it was their own. A special thank you to Carolyn, Eni, Alexandra, Tamika and Nicole. We had a coordinator assigned to the bride, a coordinator assigned to the groom and the rest of the team was assigned to the venue bringing our plans to life. The team was successful in managing the bride and groom’s quirky personalities, handled the difficult challenge of wrangling in the bridal party, appeased the Father of the Bride who constantly reminded everyone how much this wedding was costing him and the demand for it to start on time. And let’s not forget my desire to make sure this day was perfect. Every element of the wedding was carried out to perfection. As much as I laughed at the FOB’s need to start on time, Zupenda made sure he got what he paid for. The doors to the ceremony closed at 5:55PM and at 6PM the bridal party entered the ceremony and the rest of the evening flowed flawlessly. If there was an issue or a problem, we never knew about it because the team handled it all. Zupenda Davis-Shining was hired to provide a service to my daughter's wedding which she and her team knocked out of the park. In this process Zupenda has become a lifetime family member. You know you had a kick*** wedding when the guests call to thank you for inviting them. No wedding should be planned without consulting Zupenda Davis-Shine of Shining Moments Event Planning.

I can't say enough great things about working with Zupenda. This is my second time utilizing her services and once again, she did NOT disappoint! Her attention to detail is phenomenal. I love that I was able to completely enjoy my day because I knew she was on it! I would without a doubt recommend Zupenda.
