When you host your ceremony at the Waterfall Catering & Special Events, a wedding venue located in Claymont, Delaware, you can experience a truly romantic escape. Even though you will be situated just a few minutes away from Philadelphia, you will feel as if you are in a tucked-away garden setting. This intimate escape can also be used for bridal showers, engagement parties, and receptions.
Facilities and Capacity
The exterior garden areas at the Waterfall Catering & Special Events are filled with blooming plants and lush greenery. Eye-catching details like ornate columns and a gently cascading fountain fill the space. You and your guests can slip away to the gazebo or walk across the little arched bridge. This peaceful and meticulously designed garden space provides the perfect backdrop for all of your wedding photography needs. The interior of this venue is just as elegant and refined as the exterior. There are two ballrooms inside for couples to choose from: the Grand Ballroom and the Cascade Ballroom. The Grand Ballroom, which can accommodate up to 500 of your friends and family, is simply elegant with its crystal chandeliers and marble dance floor. This spacious dance floor is perfect for dancing the night away with your guests. Your other option, the Cascade Ballroom, can accommodate up to 325 guests. You and your guests will really get a taste of the outdoors in this space because it lets in plenty of natural light and leads straight out into the garden areas. Even though both spaces are designed differently, they both provide couples with an elegant backdrop in which to exchange their vows and celebrate their big day.

My perfect wedding day!
The food selection at the waterfall is much better than every venue we visited. All of my guests were incredibly impressed with having the cascade room, the cocktail room, and the outdoor area altogether for my wedding the guest were able to, mingle around without feeling crowded into one space. I cannot stress enough how wonderful this experience was the comments from my guess were really complementary of the venue.
The Waterfall is a must place to consider for your wedding. Ask for Diandra. She will take very good care of you.

Already planning to come back
Covid but Dan was accommodating and helped us keep the weekend for the following year . It was so much food that people are still talking about how our wedding was the one for the books . TOP TIER my only regret was not asking for some of everything lol but as a bride we never really eat. I am already planing to renew our vows again soon! Our attendant made sure we were taken care of the whole night I never had to lift a finger . We felt right At home

The Waterfall's new renovations are exquisite and the blown glass chandeliers are out of this world! Both ballrooms accommodate large guest lists and their food is absolutely amazing. Their coordinators are a pleasure to work with and their staff is super friendly. Our uplighting and monograms look fantastic in this space because of the controlled lighting. We can't wait to perform at the 10+ weddings we have on the schedule with The Waterfall this year.
I have officiated ceremonies at myriad locations in the Tri-State area, and I always have fun, and I always make the best of every circumstance. Just like a thumbprint, every personality is different, and when we serve the public as we do in the wedding industry, we often wear our heart on our sleeve. I officiated a ceremony at The Waterfall last August, 2017. From the moment I stepped into the facility for rehearsal, until the wedding was over the next evening, I have never felt so respected, catered to and loved on, like I felt by the staff and management there. In this case, my husband was a guest too, and he also observed what I did. The staff is so delightful--they work in sync with each other with the wedding party and their guests like magic--swift, helpful, happy, obliging--I was stunned at their performance. A swiss watch might have the precision that they all displayed. I want John and the staff to know how special I felt as an officiant. You were so pleasant and kind to me. The couple I married that day and the couple I married one month later at your location, both loved The Waterfall experience. I really love The Waterfall. I have done one wedding there and am schedule for another wedding for 2018. It has the environment that produces a dream wedding image and the staff is very friendly and cooperative. Couldn't ask for better in DE. Please consider this venue if you are in MD, Philly or DE.
