A little about me. I have worked mostly in the travel industry as a travel consultant. I began my interest in wedding and event planning while serving in my local church and community. There, I was always called upon to coordinate and oversee different events such as receptions, retreats, conferences and banquets.  It was my duty to handle all the details from start to finish such as selecting the venues, menus, table settings and decorations and making sure the contracts for these events were in order and acceptable to the party's preference. From there, came the opportunity to coordinate and decorate for a wedding ceremony and reception.  I have such a passion in what I do.  I am detailed and strive to give my clients the attention they need and listen to details and requests. I love making others happy and seeing their dreams come true. I suppose I inherit that from my mother, Hannah. That's why I named this business after her.  She did everything with such passion and perfection. I am so proud to have obtained those traits from her.Since I was already doing the job as a event planner, I decided to take some classes to enhance my training and skills. So, here I am, at your service!

Will you stay within my budget?
I am  trained to seek out the important things the brides want and give top priority to them.  A professional wedding consultant sits down with the bride, goes over the budget, contacts vendors who can work within each segment for the proposed budget and always knows where she/he stands budget wise.

Do you have assistants?
Every consultant should have assistants who, if necessary, can take charge of the event. The unexpected can always happen to a consultant-- sickness, a last minute accident, death in his/her family. The bride should always be given the assurance that the consultant will have written records of all planning, contacts made, and contracts signed. In case of an emergency, the wedding will go on, without any problems, through the help of an assistant.

Am I obligated to use the vendors you suggest?
A good wedding consultant will offer a variety of vendors. She/He will know who specializes in certain "looks"-- flowers with a flair versus the traditional arrangements, for example. She/He will know the price range the vendors work within and suggest accordingly. Should the bride have her own preferences, she is perfectly free to use them, either on her own or through having the consultant contact them. 

I don't want someone to "take over" all my planning. How do "I" fit in with "you"?
A professional wedding consultant walks the fine line between taking charge and taking control. She will tell you the preferred way from a traditional viewpoint. However, after telling you what is socially correct, she takes directions from you. Her one goal is to bring all the components of your wedding together in a manner that pleases you.

What about a refund policy should my wedding is cancelled?
All professional consultants should  have contracts. The contract clearly states the refund policy and is usually based on the number of hours the consultant has worked on the wedding plans. Each bride is asked to read the contract and to have it explained.

I do not need a full service planner as I have already chosen some of my vendors, yet I would feel more comfortable having someone available at the reception in case there are problems.
Memorable Events by Hannah offer different levels of service from planning the entire wedding to attending the rehearsal, wedding or reception only. You pay only for what we provide. Affordable hourly fees are charged when you only need help with a few details.
