Eagles Nest (ca. 1685) is poised on a bluff high above a mile-wide stretch of the Chickahominy River. The house and grounds, including an expansive lawn overlooking the river, offer a spectacular setting for weddings, receptions, family reunions, corporate outings and other events.
My experience at Eagles Nest has been one where the folks having the event reign supreme and where any reasonable request will be considered. The owners live there and are very involved in the events while their experience makes the logistics much less challenging than many "off-premise" venues. A large lawn makes just about any size tent possible and there is plenty of room to keep the ceremony area separate from the reception. The bluff overlooking the river offers not only a stunning vista but also a great breeze on most days. From a vendor's point of view, the owners at Eagles Nest try to be flexible in setup and removal times which often keeps the client from paying extra for rush setup or Sunday removals. Their communication is clear and prompt so we don't have to bother the clients with many small details.

Are there any special characteristics about this venue such as scenery or architecture? We offer a spectacular view of a mile-wide stretch of the Chickahominy River. Eagles Nest is located in a forest setting, surrounded be a wildlife management area.
We pride ourselves on being flexible to allow our clients to create the event they envision. We do not limit your choices with "pre-approved" lists, but we can make unbiased recommendations (we do not accept referral fees).
How many people does the space *comfortably* accommodate? Our primary event space is outdoors and accomodates up to 300 guests.
