Marriage Officiant- Authorized to perform marriages in Virginia
After retiring from the Circuit Court of Fairfax County at the end of 2000, I was appointed as a Marriage Celebrant.  Since that time I have married  hundreds of couples.  My hours are very flexible and I  enjoy traveling to new locations. A commitment of love is one of the most meaningful moments in a persons life.  Some couples decide to celebrate this special moment with a simple private ceremony.  Others decide to have a large celebration to invite their family and friends to celebrate this moment with them. 
Whether you decide to get married in your home, in a park or in a ballroom the ceremony will be very beautiful and meaningful.

Marriage License Information

Both parties must appear before the Clerk of the Circuit Court   to obtain a license and must be 18 years of age or older (proof of age is required with either a valid driver’s license with picture, passport or military identification). There are no residency requirements to obtain a marriage license in Virginia. A couple may go to any circuit court in Virginia to obtain this license. Once the license is issued, there is no waiting period and no blood test is required. The marriage license is valid for 60 calendar days and the marriage must take place in Virginia. The cost of the license is $30.00.
