Your Wedding Day is just that: YOUR DAY! This unique, one-of-a-kind moment must be just what you've always wanted it to be and only what you've always imagined it to be! Family and friends are of utmost importance, but the day belongs to the Bride and Groom. My role as an officiant is to help you realize your dream by crafting a ceremony that reflects your style, personalities, and the special nature of your relationship.
It's also the officiant's responsibility to focus the attention on the two people that matter most, the couple in front of me. I call the officiant the most invisible of visible roles on the wedding day. While I take seriously my job of guiding my couples through the marriage process and the importance of presiding at the ceremony in a way that makes everyone feel comfortable, confident, and joyful--at the same time, when all is done, the couple should be remembered forever, and the officiant should be soon forgotten. Wedding Days are always about the two people pledging their love and devotion to one another--not about the officiant--no matter how good that person might be at their job!
Being selected as a couple's officiant is always humbling for me. After 35 years of solemnizing hundreds of marriages, presiding at every type of ceremony, experiencing every possible thing that can go wonderfully right and disastrously wrong, and getting exclusively 5-star reviews by every kind of couple, I think I make a pretty good officiant. Still, I don't take any couple's choice for granted. I must earn your trust, demonstrate my skill, and deliver your desires and demands--and that's what I will seek to do from the time you choose my services to the filing of your legal paperwork following your ceremony.
You can be assured that I am passionate about my work as an officiant. I LOVE doing weddings. I LOVE serving my couples. I LOVE watching every unique couple exchange vows, pledge their devotion to each other, and celebrate bonding their hearts, minds, and souls in a way that will only ever happen once in their lives together.
