Who We Are: 

We are in love. We are from the South. We were married at 7:00 am on the Outer Banks of NC during a Nor'easter. We miss each other even when its only been a few hours. We are lovers of the God of C.S. Lewis, Corrie Ten Boom, and our parents. We still watch Survivor and we yell at the TV screen during Tribal Council on occasion. We have a Cavalier King Charles named Hattie and she is the sweetest dog that has ever lived. We know God when we see the ocean and don't ever want to be far from the sea. We are solidly and fully in love with one another.

 

How we started this journey:

Four months after we were married, we left Lubec, Maine on  a 15 month journey, kayaking 

all the way to Key West, Florida along the Atlantic Coast. On our incredible trip, we realized that we wanted to be together all the time, not trading our numbered days for a number on a paycheck. We wanted to spend our days together. Our mutual love for art and for love itself lead us right here, to the medium of photography. As photographers and business owners, we knew we could spend our time together, make a difference in peoples lives, create art, and be in charge of our time. It was pure and simple. 

 

Why we will keep being photographers as long as we can: 

Photography is a better vessel than any for meeting our desire to create and connect with others as well as with each other. That being said, photography's greatest attribute is an understated power... more power than people give credit. When time has passed and most things have fallen away, what remains is the purity of that split second. The emotions existing in the undercurrent of an image come forward in a way that was not possible to see in real time. That revelation in images is a testament of life and the truth that is often hard to see. Photography enables us to show you how much you are loved, how deep your love flows for one another, how beautiful you are, and how others witness your love. That 1/60th of a second is the power to tell the truth of the people in front of our camera. We have fallen in love with that truth giving power and want you to experience that honesty for yourself.
