Bethany and Dan are amazing!

We absolutely loved working with Bethany and Dan! We live in NYC and eloped in Acadia National Park, so we had to plan from afar. From the beginning, we enjoyed speaking with Bethany and Dan and they put our minds at ease about our wedding and wedding photos. It's obvious that they take photograph seriously given the amazing quality of our finished product, but they gave our wedding and photography session a chill and relaxed vibe. They helped us to relax, play around and show our relationship, love and humor in our photos. They also did an amazing job of capturing the beautiful surroundings! Prior to our elopement, they helped us plan for specific locations within Acadia National Park which I also appreciated as I had less familiarity with the park. I would absolutely recommend them for anyone's wedding or elopement. I am already scheming other occasions we could go to Maine and have photographers so we can work with them again ... :)

Made all our dreams come true

Not only are Bethany and Dan the sweetest, most patient, and talented photographers ever, but they also take the best photos! We received so many compliments on the photos, their style, and how they were on our wedding day. They took what we wanted and ran with it, and made it 10 times better. Incredible Photography

Bethany and Dan were incredible. From the first conversation to our wedding day, to the arrival of our photos. They carry a relaxed and thoughtful energy that added to our day. Through our conversations, they helped us understand how they could present our storyline of the day through photos in a way we couldn't have imagined on our own. It felt they were committed to the photos showing who we are, and this was obvious in the results. Our wedding was on a boat with 6 guests, and we were very intentional about who joined us that day, including Dan. Photos like these are a gift we are forever grateful for. Bethany was one of the photographers for my sister’s wedding and we loved her so much that we asked her and Dan to photograph our wedding over a decade later. They did not disappoint. Truly perfect

If you are looking for an engagement or wedding photographer, look no further. Bethany and Dan are the perfect combination. They made us feel so comfortable and at ease we could easily be ourselves in front of the camera. As a couple nervous about being in front of the camera and caring mostly about the candid, special moments, Bethany and Dan captured us perfectly and delivered photos our friends and family can’t stop raving about. Amazing photographers!

Looking for an excuse to hire them again!

Bethany & Dan did an incredible job capturing our wedding in May 2022. Their photographs showcased the day as we wanted to remember it - a combination of candids and posed pictures featuring all the emotions, vibes, and our surroundings. We loved their creativity and energy.
Outside of their work, Bethany & Dan were wonderful to work with. Due to Covid, our June 2020 wedding was postponed 3 times. They were extremely accommodating, which made the overall process easy, fun and stress free. They are genuinely great people and couldn’t recommend them more!

Get ready for compliments!

Of course, the compliments will come rolling in after you share Bethany and Dan's photos. But even better is the experience on the day. We decided to elope on Peaks Island and it was perfect, in large part because Bethany and Dan helped to make the experience so magical and gorgeous. If you want to take jaw-dropping photos out in nature and don't mind trailing your fancy clothes through sand, forest, and waves, these are the photographers for you. They're genuine, funny, and great people too. We can't recommend them highly enough.

Every Moment Captured

Beth and Dan saved us when we unexpectedly lost our original wedding photographer, and we couldn't be more grateful to have worked with them. They're creative, thoughtful, extremely responsive and so fun. Best Photographers in Maine

Bethany and Dan were great not only were they professional but also fun to be around and party with. We would definitely be friends and go surfing with Dan if we were local to Maine. They performed all photo groups we asked for plus added their own creative perspective to some shots came out great and that is something you can’t but. They are both talented in what they do and most importantly, you can tell they enjoy it which is a plus since it is your wedding day! Some friends even asked if they are willing to travel to another country to do a wedding shoot!

Best in the Business!

Bethany and Dan are the absolute best! From the moment we had our first skype call with them, we instantly felt connected. They are as charming, funny, and supportive as they are talented. 2020 was one heck of a year and they were along for the ride with us, from closed venues to date changes and postponements, Bethany and Dan took it all in stride and reassured us that it would all work out. They made our small and intimate wedding in November feel like an incredibly monumental day and captured all of the moments, big and small, perfectly. Photography that pulls you in!

We came across Bethany and Dan in the most unusual way, but are ever so grateful that we did. We love all of our photos and couldn't even begin to select favorites to post here, but went ahead and picked a couple. We chose B&D because their photos make us feel like we are reliving the moment every time we look at them. The motto "Photography so fresh you'll want to slap it" makes me laugh every time; it's so true! The color, the action, and the feelings captured.. they are so talented. Oh, and they were a blast to work with in real life too. Pick them. You won't regret it!

Simply the best!

Bethany and Dan were phenomenal -- I can't say enough positive things about them as people, our experience, and the photos. My husband and I had to cancel our wedding due to COVID and switch up plans entirely for an elopement. Bethany and Dan made us so happy that we did this! Creative, Genuine, and Just Plain Fun

I cannot speak more highly of Bethany and Dan! They were INCREDIBLE to work with. They were super helpful pre-wedding in developing a schedule and setting expectations. We especially appreciated how they were totally game to take photos with us in *5* different locations on our wedding day. And along the way they captured moments big (first kiss!) and small (private moments of laughter and affection) with an authenticity and creativity that simply cannot be staged. Post-wedding they were also amazing, including creating a gif of one moment from our wedding day. We love our wedding photos so much and just wish we had more space to display all of them!!

Hire these people.

You wedding day will fly by and be over in a flash. All you’ll be left with are memories and photographs. If you want photographers who will help you memorialize every moment- the silly ones, the sentimental ones, the ugly cries, sweet kisses, sweaty, messy dance floor moments, and everything in between- Bethany and Dan are the photographers for you. They are fun and helpful without being intrusive.

One of our favorite moments from our wedding day was when Bethany and Dan pulled us aside for a few photos during sunset. We got to dance and cuddle and laugh- just the two of us. Bethany and Dan turn photography into play and then turn each image into magic.

Bethany and Dan are the best!

We were so lucky to have Bethany and Dan as our photographers for our wedding in Freeport, Maine last year. They are fantastic - so easy and fun to work with, so professional and detail-oriented, and their photos are beautiful, too! We love every single one. My husband and I don't have professional photos taken frequently, so we were nervous about looking awkward in our photos. Bethany and Dan assured us that would not happen and then made us so comfortable that it was basically impossible. They also went through every detail of our timeline with us and our planner before our wedding day - they really helped us refine our timeline. They scouted perfect locations for our photos, too. I really can't say enough about how wonderful they are to work with. Several of our guests also commented on how awesome they are and we regularly get compliments on our stunning photos. I would recommend them to any of our friends and look forward to working with them again in the future!

I cannot overstate how great our experience was with Bethany & Dan at our wedding. Before the wedding we had a few calls with them so we could all get to know each other and learn how they work so by the time the wedding came we had total trust in them and it payed off! They did a great job at setting up wonderful posed photos and capturing natural moments throughout the entire event. All of the photos that came back were excellent and we'll cherish them forever. Bethany and Dan are, honestly, the best. They were awesome to work with with from the start, and were such a calm and happy presence on our wedding day. Even though we're usually not the type to love being in front of a camera, something about Bethany and Dan made us so much more comfortable to let loose and enjoy the moment. And the fact that they are a couple in love just makes working with them feel that much more fun and authentic – you can really tell they love what they do. Not to mention, they're great at it! We just got our pictures back and they are incredible. From the sweet and thoughtful pre-wedding touches to the sneak-peak post-wedding Instagram posts, Bethany and Dan really nailed it. 13/10, would recommend in a heartbeat!

Talented. Compassionate. Kind. Artists.

Of all the wedding vendors we hired, and ALL of them were excellent, I truly feel that our wedding day never would have been as amazing as it was without Bethany and Dan. Often it’s the photos the photographers send you AFTER the wedding that you treasure and appreciate, and then decide, yes, we made the right choice in our photographers. We let me tell you, not only did Bethany and Dan create ART out of our favourite wedding moments that have already impressed our friends and family that have seen the photos, but the compassion, professionalism, and care that they showed DURING our wedding were some of the moments I am forever grateful and thankful for. Bethany and Dan were incredible. They were so easy to work with and they really captured how the day felt. From taking pictures of us dancing outside to catching my grandmother giggling in a corner, they caught all the little details. Bethany and Dan are amazing people and amazing photographers! After our first meeting with them, I knew they were the right fit for us. They have a wonderfully relaxed vibe while conveying that they understand the importance of your wedding day and the part that the photographs play in making memories. They know exactly how to balance lending their opinions and wedding expertise (like how to put on a veil or pin a boutonniere) and being seemingly invisible witnesses as they capture precious moments. From our initial phone call, to our engagement photos, to the wedding itself, Bethany and Dan were amazing. We are SOOO glad that we were able to work with them. They encouraged us to express our true selves and somehow managed to capture that in photos that are beautiful, timeless, and real. Everybody that we've shared our photos with has commented how great they are and how they really captured how they were feeling during the day.

Bethany and Dan are an amazing team and we appreciated being able to work with both of them - they were friendly and flexible throughout everything. I stumbled across Bethany and Dan pretty early on. From the second I skimmed through their website I was wowed and felt I didn’t need to search any further. I reached out to them and we promptly set up a teleconference. Their work had already sold me, but getting to chat with them and get a feel for their personalities sealed the deal.

From the initial planning stages through our wedding day Bethany and Dan stayed in contact, whether through email or by mail. It’s very apparent that they value their clients and that thought goes into every little thing that they do. They were always available to answer any questions we had or address any issue that came up. By the time our wedding day arrived we couldn’t wait to meet them!

Bethany and Dan arrived on sight on our wedding day, and my husband and I both felt like it was meeting an old friend. They were both warm and inviting and had the type of personality that put even the most nervous of people (both of us that day!) at ease. They were an absolute joy to work with. You can tell they adore their clients, their craft, and one another. We had so much fun with them! Not only did we enjoy their presence, but our families did as well.

I could hardly wait for the photos to arrive and was that bride that checked her email daily even though I knew it would weeks before anything came through. When they did, I was floored. These photographs that captured on our wedding day were beyond anything I could have ever imagined or hoped for. I cried with joy as I relived those special moments, looking through he gallery. THEY. ARE. STUNNING. I cannot begin to guess how many times I’ve looked through them. With our gallery, we were able to go through and select favorites, but I couldn’t. Each and every photo is my favorite for one reason or another. Not only are we extremely happy with the photographs we received, we’ve also received countless compliments on our wedding photos from friends and family.

Bethany and Dan were so awesome! They were an absolute pleasure to work with. We found them online and really liked their work. After meeting with them over the phone, we knew they were a good fit for us. Though they had to travel for our wedding, they were incredibly punctual (in fact, a bit early). They jumped right in once they arrived and made us feel comfortable while also ensuring that we were going to get pictures of our wedding day that captured everything we wanted. Bethany and Dan worked incredibly well together, with each throwing out different ideas, splitting us up for individual pictures, and both making sure our time was used efficiently. Dan made us feel extra special in finding and scouting out ahead of time a new place where we were able to take photos just outside of Acadia National Park near Bar Harbor. We were very happy with our "sneak peek" photos and are so excited to see the rest of them!

These guys are the best! Not only do they take incredible photos, they make it fun! They came all the way out to Iceland with us to take dramatic wedding shots in some of the most beautiful places on earth. We all had a great time together and the photos came out INCREDIBLE. Best. Photographers. EVER. Seriously, I need another occasion that I can have Bethany & Dan photograph. We were lucky enough to snag Bethany and Dan for both our engagement photos and our wedding day as well. As someone who is very into details and timelines, Bethany and Dan made me feel completely at ease on the day of the wedding. We talked prior to lay everything out. From the timeline of the day, to family photos and table photos they were there and ready! The pictures are AMAZING. I did not expect as many as we got - holy cow! And they are all awesome! In addition, my husband and I opted not to get a videographer even though we had a choreographed first dance. Bethany and Dan captured every spin and turn to perfection. Bethany & Dan Photography came highly recommended to me and I have been telling everyone about them!

Bethany & Dan are the absolute best! They were so responsive, clear with their instructions and then the best wedding photographers on top of it. There are literally hundreds and hundreds of photos where all of our guests, family & my husband and I look amazing. Everyone walked away from my wedding loving their spirit and professionalism. I have no idea how they took so many great shots, kept us on schedule & still have time to make friends with our bridal party. They were so on top of things leading into the wedding and the day of. After seeing Bethany & Dan in action at not one, but two friends’ weddings, my husband, Mike, and I knew we had to have them as our wedding photographers.

In addition to being impressed by their beautiful photographs, we were really attracted to them as people. We felt comfortable being ourselves—something we feared would be impossible while standing in front of a camera. During our engagement session, there were times we forgot we were being photographed. Bethany & Dan helped us truly relax and have fun with it, which resulted in the most incredible photos.

A lot of our wedding guests commented that “it felt like there were 5 Bethany & Dans at the wedding.” Everywhere we turned, they were there capturing the moment. But they were never in the way; they were just in the right place at the right time.

The morning of the wedding, Bethany asked if she could ride with my dad and me to the church. I was hesitant at first, but agreed to let her join us. In hindsight, having Bethany with us was one of the best decisions I made all day. She helped me remain calm, talking to us as if she had known us for a lifetime, all the while snapping awesome candids of my dad and me in the backseat. She was a part of such a special moment without being intrusive—a difficult balance to strike. But she nailed it!

It’s safe to say what we enjoyed most about working with Bethany & Dan, aside from the incredible and unique photos that we now have forever, is that their love for each other is contagious. It’s so hard to feel awkward or rigid or unnatural when you’re with them.

Their work speaks for itself, but the experience you take away from working alongside them is priceless.

We cannot recommend Bethany & Dan enough! We look forward to any opportunity to work with them again in the future.

Best photographers HANDS DOWN. Bethany and Dan are professional, personable, and talented artists. Working with them is a pleasure from start to finish. They care about the process and getting to know you before the event.

While shooting, B+D make you feel comfortable behind the camera. If you tend to feel a little on the awkward side, they make it way easy. You may surprise yourself!

Bethany and Dan were both so wonderful to work with. Their photos are beautiful and so special. Bethany and Dan were phenomenal to work with from our initial contact. They are easy to contact, have great ideas, and even served as a resource for us on things like the timing of events throughout our wedding day, colors, and other things that they had seen work well.

When our schedules made finding time for an engagement shoot difficult, Bethany and Dan were incredibly patient, and ultimately ended up traveling to do the shoot on the one weekend that worked for us. We had a blast working with them, and the pictures were absolutely stunning.

At our wedding, we received many comments from guests that Bethany and Dan were everywhere, but also nearly invisible. They have a calming effect on the day, and are incredibly skilled at instructing people in order to get natural looking shots.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these guys! Bethany and Dan are amazing photographers and are so much fun to work with! We could not be happier in choosing Bethany and Dan to capture our wedding day! As a background, my husband and I are terrible at taking pictures together unless they are selfies. Originally we did not plan to get engagement photos because they always seem cheesy and staged, but after realizing we had no truly good pictures we thought it was best to do the engagement photos as "practice" for the wedding. We had so much fun doing the engagement session, learned to be comfortable in front of the cameras, and got some of our favorite pics! It was a good investment in getting wedding photos that we love. It rained on our wedding day which shortened our sunset cruise to get photos, but B&D still got so many images in the rain that we love! They also have the experience to know the details you didn't think about as they pop up throughout the day (bustling a dress without a bridesmaid in sight, packing a umbrella, pinning on boutonnieres). You spend a lot of time and money planning all the details of your wedding day so you should choose a photographer who will capture them.

Pictures are incredibly important to me, so when it came time to choose our wedding photographers, my fiancé (now husband!) and I started looking right away. We booked Bethany and Dan without having met them, before our venue and other huge details were even 100% solidified! We just had a good feeling about them, and man, were we right! During planning phone calls and emails they helped us nail down a timeline, arranged for quite a few big family shots, and helped figure out a backup plan in case of inclement weather. They took lots off our shoulders and made sure everything ran smoothly. Knowing how badly I wanted our portraits outside, they took a huge risk in the rain and decided to go for it. It looked iffy for a while, but the rain stopped for the hour that we needed it to, and our photos are incredible. We are so lucky to have had photographers who understood our vision and took a chance to help see it through. Working with people who LOVE their job and get positively giddy during shoots made it such an enjoyable experience for us. They entertained one-year-olds to get their best smiles, found amazingly green spots on the Appalachian Trail, laid down on a wet dock to get our reflections in the lake, and did some super creative work with umbrellas, just to name a few highlights. We are lucky to count Bethany and Dan as new friends, and we will forever be grateful for the stunning work they did to caption our special day. Now the only problem is deciding which pictures to print, since they are ALL amazing. Thank you, Bethany and Dan!!!

Bethany and Dan are the best. But I knew that before hiring them and they totally lived up to the hype that I had set in my head.
I have now worked with Bethany and Dan for both professional (work) shoots and now personal (Wedding) shoots and they do not ever disappoint.

They ask all the right questions beforehand and are extremely professional on site during events. For our wedding, we did a shoot beforehand and only had to leave the reception or 5 minutes to take some couple shots, the rest of the time it felt like Bethany and Dan weren't there because they seamlessly blended into the crowd to get the best candid shots.

I can not recommend them enough.

My fiance and I booked Bethany and Dan for our engagement session. They were amazing photographers and the end result was absolutely stunning. They both have great but different eyes for photos, so we got a variety of shots (After trekking all over beautiful Acadia National Park, you wouldn't believe that our favorite photo was in a parking lot fern - per Bethany's crazy suggestion!). Their personalities are fun and easygoing, which made working with them comfortable. We were only temporarily living in Maine, but I now wish we had booked them for our Wisconsin wedding! I would recommend Bethany and Dan to anyone looking for an engagement photographer.

Bethany and Dan are nothing short of AMAZING! My husband and I were married on October 17, 2015 in Boston, and did both our engagement photos and wedding photos with them. We initially found out about Bethany and Dan from two of our good friends who used them as their photographers for all their wedding related events. We saw their engagement photos, and I immediately asked for their contact information and emailed them that night. They were such an absolute pleasure to work with. I had know about Bethany and Dan's mad photography skillz before we even got engaged so they were the first people we booked! During the planning process they helped to keep the wedding mojo flowing in the months leading up to the wedding by checking in with us regularly to talk about the big day and get a feel for what we wanted and what we were dreaming of. Sitting down and chatting with the two of them a few weeks before not only helped to make it all seem real but they were such veteran professionals they certainly helped me avoid (more than) a few planning pit falls in that mere hour on the phone.

They are so cool and lovely it was super easy to be natural around them, and invite them into the front row of a very personal day. They gave us plenty of direction when we needed it (my husband and I are not naturals) but focused on capturing the sheer joy we were feeling that day.

They made sure that formal photos were fun and went smoothly and quickly so that we could all enjoy cocktail hour and then when the party started I barely noticed them. They are photography ninjas! They did not intrude or obscure the celebration at all, and it was so much fun to go back and see the moments they captured that we may have missed! They also seemed to get a snap shot of almost everyone in attendance. They didnt mind the herd of dogs who crashed the dance floor or the toddlers running the wrong way down the aisle, they have instead cemented those as cherished moments from the best day of our life!

Bethany and Dan also make it super easy to view and share your photos with loved ones, and the finished photos were done and ready for download before my head had even stopped spinning from the fact that I was married!

In short Bethany and Dan are total rock star photographers and downright lovely people.

These two fabulously in-love and wonderfully creative people are worth every single penny that you thought you wouldn't spend on photography. Remember, these photos are the one single item of proof (other than your undying love for one another and your standard marriage license), that you had a wedding! Bethany and Dan were great photographers. Their photographs are stunning, but maybe more importantly than that, they are the people we wanted with us on our wedding day. They're funny and kind and professional and have everything covered. Does your Mom have the jitters? Don't worry, Bethany will calm her down. Does your Dad have his suit on all funny? Don't worry, Dan's totally on top if it. And the pictures are out of this world. I majored in photography, so I had different standards for looking at books than most folks probably do, and these guys way exceeded my expectations. They hit it out of the park. I am so happy that we found Bethany and Dan! We knew after our first phone call with them that they were the right choice for us. They seemed like people we would want to be friends with.

We ended up getting Engagement Photos done soon after hiring them, and the photos turned out amazing. It is so great to have these casual photos that captured us at such a special time in our lives.

Bethany and Dan contacted all of our other vendors prior to our wedding day. I assume this is not typical of other photographers, because my vendors all told me about how nice it was. They shared with these vendors the write up on their blog that they did regarding our engagement photos and their “Meet the Couple” blog post about us, and the vendors seemed really happy that they got to know a little bit more about us as a couple.

It was such a pleasure to have Bethany and Dan with us on our big day. Their calming presence really helped to keep my nerves in check. Before our First Look, my nerves were on edge, and Bethany was so patient with me. They were so organized during family portraits, which really helped move this along quickly. During the ceremony and reception I barely noticed them around. They have such a great way of moving around among the crowd without ever feeling in the way.

We recently got our photos back. The photos are amazing. One of my best friends that was not able to attend the wedding said this “I really think the photographers are great! And you know, I haven’t seen many pictures of you lately, but each time I saw a picture of you smiling or laughing or walking, it brought back memories. I thought, I’d know that smile anywhere. Besides wishing I could hear what you all were saying, , I felt like I was there. They captured the moment for sure.”

If you are considering hiring Bethany and Dan - DO IT. They are really the best of the best.

We are truly in love with Bethany and Dan! They are the most amazing photographers that I now consider to be our friends. Honestly, I miss them now that the wedding is over!

We knew from the start that they were right for us. A friend of mine used them for her engagement photos and when I saw her pictures, I was blown away; they were gorgeous. And then we met with B&D a couple weeks later and we immediately knew that they were who we wanted to have. They are so personable and friendly, extremely knowledgeable about their craft without being showy, and just down right good people. I don't find that these days you meet people who you "just know" are good people right away; it's a rarity and that's why they are so dam special.

We did our engagement session with them in NYC and had an absolute blast. They made us feel totally at ease (because it's extremely weird having people take a bazillion picture of you - especially out in the middle of NYC!) and the pictures came out fantastic. I highly recommend doing the engagement session because it preps you for how it will all feel on your wedding day. And plus now we have amazing photos of both the wedding and our engagement; two of the biggest milestones.

Everything about B&D leading up to the wedding and of course the actual wedding was perfect. I am a bit OCD and need to have things planned out and organized months in advance, and they never made me feel out of line or crazy. In fact, they were so responsive and organized that I felt such a sense of calm and infinite amounts of trust in them, they made the whole process and day a breeze. It is truly invaluable to have full trust in your wedding photographers, and we are so grateful. And, of course the result was amazing photos. They captured the most amazing moments of our wedding day and gave us a lifetime of gorgeous memories to cherish. Much love for B&D!

We are absolutely blown away by Bethany & Dan’s work. We are SO pleased with how our photos came out and our overall experience with this amazing duo. From the start, they were easy to talk to, fun to chat with, quick to respond to emails, accommodating, and reassuring. I even had questions about their opinions on vendors and they gave some great suggestions. Their photos speak for themselves as far as the actual quality, but the small relationship we built with them over the year or so planning was also super awesome. They’re just an amazing couple who want to capture the most perfect moments on your day. It is an INVESTMENT but they are worth every single penny and more. Photography is not something you want to skimp on, on your wedding day. The guests at your wedding will forget about what kind of food or cake you had, and eventually the favors and centerpieces will be forgotten about, too…but your photographs are what you’ll have for years and years after that so it SHOULD be something you invest in.

They are professional and know what they are doing, how to keep a schedule, and how to go with the flow when 281908 crazy relatives want to take a formal photo with the B&G…They were so easy to work with and helped everything run seamlessly as far as taking photos goes. We barely noticed them on the dance floor during our reception but when I got the photos back, they took the most incredible pictures! They got right up in there and really captured the party atmosphere and how much fun the night was. They are masters of their craft and we are so lucky they were our wedding photographers!

We got back soooo many photos and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve looked through them. They are just amazing. All of them. Not a single one have I looked at that I haven’t fallen absolutely in love with. The hardest part is going to be picking which ones we want for our album!

Bethany and Dan are absolutely amazing! We had a destination wedding in an off-the-beaten-path area of Puerto Rico, and although we could have easily booked someone closer, everything about Bethany & Dan's photography style and presentation fit what we were hoping to see.

From booking to communication, the entire process was easy and smooth -- and we're a little bit crazy sometimes and were also exceedingly busy prior to the big date, so their patience was especially wonderful. On wedding day, they were relaxed and easy to work with, which really helped with keeping the vibe calm and collected -- even while I was worrying about running behind schedule, Bethany was there reassuring me that it was going to work out just fine -- and it did. Bonus -- everyone loved how nice and polite they were! We also did a post-day couple session with them, and they were both professional AND fun to be around during that!

The end product -- the photographs in all of their glory -- are gorgeous, with lovely, warm tones and so many different views of what was going on that looking through them is like a lovely trip down memory lane -- like reliving the day without all of the craziness and being able to sit back, relax, and enjoy the view.

If we had to go back and do our wedding all over again -- we'd pick Bethany & Dan every single time. If we could give them bonus stars, we would -- and we highly recommend both the work and the two amazing individuals behind it!

We were thrilled that Bethany & Dan were available to photograph our Cape Cod wedding in September. We knew we loved their work because we'd seen the photos from a friend's wedding the year before, and they had exactly the style we wanted: natural, well composed photos that highlight both the couple and beautiful locations in the background. This was one of the first vendors I booked (after the venue) and I am overwhelmingly thrilled with what we got! Bethany and Dan are the greatest wedding photographers!

A bit about my journey to booking: I was looking at their their blog before my engagement and loved their photos - they were candid and vibrant, and really captured emotion and connections. Before I officially booked, I had a tiny crisis about spending a few thousand dollars on photography, even though it was extremely important to me. I looked into another photography studio to price-compare, and found it would be literally three times as much (and over $10,000) to get what I got with B&D. So that was my sign from Jesus, and I couldn't be happier.

Besides the extremely high quality of the pictures, Bethany and Dan are so personable and so real. Their relationship with their clients transcends the typical client-vendor relationship; they are like guests at your wedding. (And I knew that it felt that way when I mailed them brunch invitations for the day after and then thought - "Wait, was that appropriate?!") On our wedding day, they were 100% present with us, and they literally took pictures all night long.

We recently received that massive set of pictures, and there isn't a single one that I'm unhappy with. I have over 500 pictures saved into a favorites folder! I have no idea how I'm going to pick out pictures for the album!

Some other perks to outline: having two photographers is just priceless. I love seeing those photos Dan took of my husband and the groomsmen when I wasn't there. We also did our engagement session with them, which I would highly recommend (and which came with the package we chose). And....they are willing to travel anywhere! Anyone can use them! A humongous thank you to both of them!

I would highly recommend Bethany and Dan! They are very responsive, fun to work with, and produce great photos. They guide you step by step through the photography process and are available seemingly instantaneously when you have a question or need advice! Their style of photography is less posed and more about spontaneity, and capturing the emotion of the moment. They put you at ease and help you to feel comfortable in front of the camera, which results in photos that capture a certain raw, genuineness. They seem to really enjoy traveling and photographing new places, and their enthusiasm for photography and for the LOVE between two people is contagious. I would highly recommend!

Upon meeting Bethany the first time, her enthusiasm for wedding photography and her amazing spirit hooked me in. Then I started to follow Bethany and Dan's website and blog and was absolutely blown away. They take beautiful photos...but the moments they capture that you don't realize are special are the ones that have struck us as the most special images. My husband and I are absolutely in love with our wedding photos. We couldn't imagine a more creative, fun, loving couple to work with to capture our most special day and help us feel at ease in front of the camera. We can not say enough good things about Bethany and Dan and neither can our guests. The photos truly speak for themselves!! We were so lucky to have found Bethany and Dan, their work will always remind us of our wonderful day. They are the perfect balance to each other and sooooo fun to work with, you feel right at home. Our guests absolutely loved them, they just blend in like they knew everyone forever. We can not recommend them enough, we just want to have another party just so they can be there!!!

I guess you could say Bethany and Dan had us “Hello.” They have such a great spirit, eye for detail, and overall love for what they do. They made us feel like we were the most important clients they had with so many little touches from the moment we met. If the cute post card with a heart over where we were getting married, the flexibility, the laughter, the communication and adorable love that Bethany share for one another , wasn’t enough to make our wedding planning and day that much more special, then we get the pictures!!! What they captured I didn’t know was possible. These two are so talented and I LOVE the way they work together. Dan has this amazing focus and eye for beauty while Bethany is making you laugh and creating moments that she captures through her lens. Every time I look at our pictures I can feel myself on our wedding day looking and feeling incredible. Bethany and Dan are truly the perfect photographers to have for your wedding, we could not have been happier with the quality of work, professionalism and genuine care they gave to us and our wedding and the steps leading to the day. They are a couple deeply in love themselves and not only understand the importance of the Big Day but the importance of capturing those once in a life time moments.

In October of 2013 Bethany and Dan did our engagement session and this was a great opportunity for us to get to know them. Although we had met up with them via Skype session prior, it was not until the engagement session did we truly get to know their personalities and abilities! Bethany and Dan knew how to roll with the punches and literally let us drag them all around Boston during the engagement session from Fenway to the Boston Gardens to hopping right on a water boat in Boston Harbor! It was a great feeling to know they not only wanted to get these moments but wanted to be there, they were even in the cab taking photos as we commuted around! ha I couldn't have asked for better people to know and to work with.

We could not have asked for a better experience in working with Bethany and Dan! We first worked with Bethany and Dan during our engagement photo shoot in NYC and the pictures came out amazing. My husband and I were a bit nervous at first, but Bethany and Dan made the entire process simple and enjoyable. By the time our wedding came, we felt ready :) Since we had a winter wedding, we were a little nervous about our ability to get quality outdoor photos, but Bethany and Dan were able to capture everything perfectly. Bethany and Dan are seriously outstanding photographers, and also great people. Every communication we had with them from before until after the wedding, they were friendly, helpful, and responsive. On the wedding day, they looked as good as our guests, and were friendly to all. They are both very good at blending into the background while still being exactly where the action is. We could not have asked for a better team of photographers. From the early stages of wedding planning, choosing the right photographer was extremely important to us. Not that I'm a photography snob by any means, but I'm not a fan of the traditional bland and stagnant wedding pictures. When doing research online, we came across Bethany and Dan and found that they had a great following, and their previous reviews and testimonials are absolutely stellar. Of course, their impressive portfolio is the proof in the pudding.

Still, they managed to completely blow us away with their work, professionalism, and support. From the very beginning they were a joy to work with and they made the entire process so much fun. We clicked with them right away, and they made it so easy to be ourselves in front of the camera. Their artistry and creativity is truly impressive and we couldn't be more pleased with how our pictures turned out. They were not only able to capture all of the special moments we shared as a couple, but also the candid experiences shared by our family members, along with all the intricate wedding details that collectively added to our special day. Hiring Bethany and Dan was the best wedding investment we could’ve made. Upon being hired, they stayed in touch with us leading all the way up to the wedding. We had a destination wedding in Puerto Rico and had asked them to scout out shoot locations for our first look and wedding party portraits in Old San Juan. They did a phenomenal job, arriving a day before to ensure they scouted the area. They arrived on time to our “getting ready” locations and made us feel absolutely comfortable from the start. They understood the stress we were under as we raced against the clock to get all of our wedding party ready, including ourselves. They kept us on schedule and their great sense of humor helped us forget we were under pressure for time. They selected terrific locations for our photos and provided direction and guidance for our poses, selecting fun, candid poses along with beautiful portrait-worthy shots. During the ceremony and reception, they were literally like ninjas: taking advantage of every great shot without being the least bit intrusive. From the beginning of our wedding day to the last second, they worked so incredibly hard and we know that they were 110% present in all of the activities. Once we received the images, we were blown away! Their photos captured everything – tears, laughter, hugs and every bit of detail. We will cherish these photos always. Bethany & Dan we're fantastic from start to finish. As soon as we started emailing, Bethany was super responsive and flexible. Meeting them immediately set me at ease that they could handle (and wanted to handle) the wedding crazy. Both of them made me more excited, completely comfortable, and taken care of. For the actual wedding, I didn't have to worry about a thing. They were ready to go anywhere and do anything - they came with ideas for photos (which was super helpful because I did not). They blended into the wedding party seamlessly and made me feel like we were fast friends. And most importantly, the photos came out beyond amazing and more incredible than I even imagined. Bethany & Dan truly captured the fun and beauty of my wedding day.

Bethany and Dan are hands down the most wonderful wedding photographers on this planet. Not only that, they are great people!! From the moment we met Bethany and Dan, my (now) husband and I knew they needed to be a part of our wedding! They are warm, caring, funny, and make you feel like you can be yourself. Bethany and Dan are very attentive to their couples, with lots of emailing and info sharing, we could feel how much they cared about us and our wedding day. Our engagement session with them was perfect, they drove to the cape to capture us hanging out and on the beach. The photos were amazing and we get compliments on them all the time. They truly captured our love in a fun and unique way without being stiff and posed. On our wedding day, they were very professional and knew exactly what they were doing. They worked seamlessly with the venue staff and dj to make sure everything happened as planned. they coordinated the first look and it was perfect! I didn't even notice them during the ceremony they were so discrete with their photos. During the reception, they were out on the dance floor capturing all the fun! I really appreciate their art and talent, their photos are amazing and they are truly gifted photographers. We have loved getting to know them as people and think that any couple would be lucky to work with them!

Upon meeting Bethany & Dan at a quaint restaurant, we knew by the end of that dinner, they were going to be 'the ones'. Their personalities and attentiveness to details are what sucked us in! Bethany's communication, little check-ins, and suggestions up until the wedding day were phenomenal. They even came down to our wedding site so my husband could go over certain ideas for pictures - we had blast and were extremely open to our suggestions and wishes.

The day of, they made us feel relaxed and completely unobtrusive. I am always nervous and self-conscious when people take my picture, but at all times they made me feel beautiful and everything looked great. Even when they were taking some shots and we were whispering to ourselves 'how the heck is this going to look good?!'- oh we were in for a treat!

The pictures arrived exactly 4 weeks from the wedding. In between they send a teaser photo (which made our mouths hit the floor) and a simple, but yet beautiful slideshow. As we sifted through all the pictures, amongst the tears and laughs, we could not believe well they captured our day. Everything from elegant and gorgeous to the silly and goofy. We could not have been happier with our photographers and for the amazing pictures we will forever treasure with our families and friends. I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone.

I cannot praise them enough for our AMAZING photos and all the help and personal attention they gave us throughout the process leading up to the wedding. I cried when watching the slideshow -- the pictures are fantastic and set to great music.

I really don't like getting my picture taken, mostly because I hate how I look in pictures.. and I love how I look in these pictures. I will treasure them always, we both will.

My Dad also made a point to say a number of times after the wedding that he would recommend to ANYONE that they have 2 wedding photographers. He said it didn't make as much sense to him, until the day came -- and then he couldn't have imagined how it would work with just 1. He said it was perfect, because Dan was with the guys, Bethany was with us ladies, and then we all came together for a bunch. It just gives that extra flexibility and he was really impressed.

You're in great hands w/ Bethany & Dan. We aren't planning to have kids for a while now, but when we finally do -- we really hope they're still in the New England area for baby shots!!

I found Dan and Bethany Photography while browsing the web. The first thing that called my attention was the quality of their pictures: so fresh, with movement and full of fun! So I decided to contact them. Since day one this guys really show you that they will take care of your event. They are totally flexible with the time, location, duration, the weather!, the type of pictures you want, etc. And they also have their services so professionally organized in their special site, so you can decide if you want only the pictures on line, the album, the CD, etc. They even met with us for a coffee and carefully reviewed all the details of the wedding in order to maximize the photo session. When the big day arrived, they were there, exactly in the place and time planned. They took amazing photos of the group and then we had our couple session. It was full of fun! The outcome was great; we simply love the photos and we’ve received many positive comments from our friends and family. We just couldn’t have chosen better! I'll definitively contact this guys for any future event.

Bethany and Dan were amazing! I found them from The Knot, and even though my husband and I live in FL and got married in ME, we were still able to "meet" Bethany and Dan via Skype. We could not be happier with the photos. We are still getting emails from our guests as well as people who did not attend but felt the joy and laughter! I ordered a canvas as a gift for my mom, it's so good, I have to get one for us.

The turnaround time was exceptional as well. I have nothing but positive things to say about this amazing couple. By the end of the wedding Bethany and Dan were like family!!

My husband and I did a great deal of research on wedding photographers because we felt it was so important to capture our wedding day we way we envisioned it with fresh and bold photos. We were immediately drawn to Bethany and Dan’s work after coming across them online!

We first met Bethany and Dan for our engagement shoot at Breakheart Reservation and quickly felt completely comfortable and at ease with them! It felt like we were spending the afternoon with friends who just happened to be taking stellar photos! After our engagement shoot, we were beyond excited that we chose to book with Bethany and Dan and were talking them up to all of our friends and family! Once we actually saw the photos we were even more sold because they were better than we could have hoped for. Our friends and family raved about how gorgeous the photos were!

Leading up to the wedding, Bethany and Dan ensured to stay in touch with us and were interested in knowing how we were doing, how the wedding plans were progressing, and so on. It felt like I was emailing just another friend with wedding details! Bethany and Dan even suggested that we meet up for dinner and drinks somewhere, which was the perfect idea! It gave us the chance to spend a relaxing and fun evening with them!

On our actual wedding day, Bethany and Dan were AMAZING!!! Bethany snapped photos of me getting ready while Dan traveled to a park where my husband and his groomsmen and friends were playing mini golf and go-karting. Both of them were a calm and fun presence throughout the night. Furthermore, our wedding photos are BEYOND INCREDIBLE, GORGEOUS, AND STUNNING! They are fresh and bold just as we wanted them to be! Everyone is STILL commenting on how perfect the photos are!

We honestly cannot thank Bethany and Dan enough for all they have done for us!! If you are even just considering booking them for your wedding, stop!!You've found your photographers!!

I could not have asked for better photographers. We feel like Bethany and Dan had just as much fun on our wedding day as we did. I love that when I show our wedding pictures those who did not make it for the big day, they feel like they were there too. Our pictures our precious to us and highlight every meaningful and fun part of the day.
We highly recommend Bethany and Dan Photography! Between their fun personalities and their mad camera skills, you won't be disappointed!

Not only are Bethany and Dan Cox amazingly talented photographers, but they are two amazing people to work and do business with. We met Bethany and Dan more than a year before our wedding after I'd seen that they had a 207 phone number listed on TheKnot.com. Being from Maine myself, and having looked obsessively at their website, I knew I wanted to hire them. So - they aren't from Maine, technically, but any connection to my home state was good enough for me. The biggest thing that kept me coming back to Bethany and Dan after our meeting was that they're committed, mostly, to wedding photography. They do other photo shoots, of course, but they seemed invested in the experience of a wedding and in capturing that in their photography. We hired them soon after and have been getting to know them, and their photography, ever since. An engagement shoot was included in our package, and that, which we did throughout Boston on a warm July afternoon, was amazing. Not only was the shoot fun, and not only were they fun to run around with, the photos they got were stunning. We've gotten many compliments about those photos...thanks to Bethany and Dan's work. And they helped lug our stuff around for like three hours!

Fast forward nearly a year and we've gotten to know Bethany and Dan well. They are big on client relations and it makes a HUGE difference, for us it did anyway. Bethany casually checks in on her brides via email and Facebook, and she was generous with offering advice and feedback. We were also able to have dinner with them a few weeks before the wedding and they answered our questions about how to devise a timeline for the day, what to do for photos if it rained (we got lucky in that category, thankfully), and other wedding related things. Conversation didn't have to be all wedding either...which was refreshing for us.

Lastly, we feel blessed to have had Bethany and Dan with us on our wedding day. Ok - I've only seen one photo thus far, but the way they helped capture moments, and details, and organized family shots made us feel even more confident about their work. Bethany and I had some quiet time while I was getting ready before the ceremony and she was just great to be with. She and Dan seem to get just as excited as other guests, but they then capture all of those moments for us in photos. They were also helpful in helping us time out when to get certain shots...like couple shots during the cocktail hour where we all ran around the nearby Fun-O-Rama, the beach, and the rocks on the water. Then the sunset beachy shots and the night shots. They kept us and our coordinator (and probably DJ) informed about the timing of everything.

They are second to none, for sure!

Hiring Bethany and Dan Photography was one of the best wedding planning decisions we made. Despite organizing our Maine wedding from 3,000 miles away, communication with Bethany and Dan was consistently prompt and thorough. They were willing to modifiy the contents of our photography package because of our distant living location and the overall price was competative and worth the quality of the service they provide.

The quality of our photos were unbelievable and we receive endless complements of the style of their photography. In hindsight, we really appreciated having two photographers to capture separate aspects of all the special moments of our day.

Bethany and Dan are positively charming! They are professional, patient, friendly and a little goofy in a way that makes you feel comfortable enough to relax and be yourself while having your (HUNDREDS of) photos taken. T

Dan and Bethany did a love photoshoot of my husband and me and they were amazing. The pictures came out beautiful and I will cherish them always. We LOVE Bethany and Dan and want them to shoot all future life events!!! And they are awesome friends, too!!

When my fiance and I were looking for a photographer for our big day we were immediately impressed with the samples of Bethany and Dan's work. We loved the fact that they took so many candid shots versus posed/traditional shots. Joe and I are both very creative people, so we were looking for a photographer with a unique edge. We decided to go with Bethany and Dan and never thought second about it.
From the day we started talking with them they were professional, yet personable. They made us feel as if they cared and were just as excited as we were for our wedding. The little details, such as a hand written thank you card and taking the time in getting to know us prior to our wedding, were much appreciated.
Bethany and Dan were very organized and made sure they knew what we were looking for in a photographer prior to our wedding. The day went so smoothly and they made us so comfortable with being photographed.
They said it would take 6-8 weeks to get our final copies of our pics so we were surprised to receive the email containing them about a week after our honeymoon. And they were FABULOUS! They met all of our expectations! The only thing we would have changed was to have a photo book included.
We thank you Bethany and Dan! Our day wouldn't have been the same without you!
