Most of the bands we represent perform in high-end wedding dress or black-tie. In certain instances, upon client request, bands perform in what is called "Cape Cod Casual Attire". You'll mostly find this during summer weddings.
 
Do you offer live sample performances or CDs?
We offer sample performances every month at the House of Blues' exclusive Foundation Room. Go online to bostoneventworks.com/wedding/showcase for dates. Most of our bands are performing in or around Boston every weekend, please feel free to contact us for viewing oppurtunity details.
 
Are you willing to learn songs that you do not currently know?
Each band we represent is open to performing 3-5 special requests as long as there is communication about the material, at least 2 months in advance.
 
How much time do you usually need for setup?
Most bands require between 1-2 hours for setup.
 
How much space do you usually require?
Most bands like to perform in a space no smaller than 12x8ft.
 
What (if any) special equipment, such as disco balls or lighting, is offered with your service?
Special equipment, including additional sound set-ups, lighting, fog and staging can be provided upon special request.
 
Do you usually emcee the event, or talk between songs?
All of our bands have members that act as the emcee and perform the announcements and introductions as per the request of the client. They will speak as much or as little as you'd like.
 
What is your policy on taking breaks? If you need a meal break, do you require that the client provide your meal?
Most bands do require a meal break with a hot meal to be provided by the wedding party.
 
Do you play recorded music during your break?
Yes, most bands play pre-recorded music on CD or iPod during the breaks. Our band leaders will sit down with you to discuss selections for the playlist.
 
What is your overtime rate?
Overtime rates are negotiable, depending on the attraction. They can range anywhere from $250-$750.
 
Do you charge for travel expenses? If yes, how much do you charge?
We provide our quotes for performances with travel fees included.

We represent DJs with various types of styles to fit the needs of our clients. Whether it's traditional or non-traditional that you're looking for, we've got a style to fit your needs.

If you do not have one of the songs pre-requested by the client, do you require that they provide it?
No, we have an extensive library of songs and for some strange reason that we dont already have it, we will get it.
 
How many other DJs do you work with?
We currently have 6 top-notch New England wedding DJs on our roster. Our head DJ is DJ Shyne who boasts a solid 10+ years of wedding and corporate DJ experience, and he would be honored to work with you in planning your event. His own site is djshyneonline.com.
 
What is the minimum amount of time you will DJ for?
Most DJs require a 4-hour-minimum but everything is negotiable.
 
Is the client able to meet the DJ before booking?
Yes, we offer many meeting times and locations that will be a good fit into the busy bride schedule.

Yes, we supply state-of-the-art PA and lighting equipment for all engagements.
