Hit Play was formed in 2015 and is based in the greater Boston area of Massachusetts. Comprised of some the area's most accomplished musicians, Hit Play has quickly earned a solid reputation as one of the hottest live wedding and event party bands in New England.

Band leader Ryan McHugh, is the MC, guitarist and one of the lead singers. Ryan is well known in the Boston area for his ability to captivate a crowd by utilizing his 22 years of experience in the live music industry. Drawing on this experience, Hit Play performs in top bar / club venues from Boston to Newport and at top wedding venues all over New England. Lynn, the lead female vocalist is multilingual so in addition to singing all the Top 40 hits she can also sing beautifully in Spanish, Hebrew and French to name a few!! Adding Andy the drummer with his super high vocal range to the mix allows even a small 4 or 5 piece band to sing almost every style and genre imaginable with multipart vocal harmonies as well! The band is well known for their incredibly versatile repertoire - consisting of anything from modern Top 40, 90's throwbacks, Rock, Funk, Soul, R & B, Country, Alternative and Hip-Hop to name a few. Despite the incredibly diverse styles, the songs in the dance set all share one common thread: high energy, tried and true bangers that are gauranteed to keep the dance floor moving.
