Ripcord is the best wedding band you could be lucky enough to find at a wedding! They bring such incredible energy combined with a high-end musicianship that creates a memorable experience that will have your guests complimenting you for months. We’ve now been to four weddings soundtracked by Ripcord, but our favorite was our own. We discovered them in 2017 at one of our best friends’ wedding, and they were such a fun band that they’ve been the first call as everyone in our friend group gets married. We made sure to book them as soon as we secured our venue (about a year before our August wedding), because even though there are three bands within Ripcord, they get reserved quickly. We knew we wanted a horn section, so we hired the 8-piece (male singer, female singer, guitar, bass, keyboard, drums, trumpet, trombone). We had a couple calls with our day-of wedding coordinator and Ananda, Ripcord’s incredibly friendly event coordinator, about 4 weeks and 2 weeks before the big day to go over the timeline and details surrounding our first dance and parent dances, and our entrance. One of the key reasons we chose Ripcord was the extensive song list published on their website, which is not only long but spans practically every genre. This included bands I love but some of which I’d never subject my wedding guests to! (311, Gin Blossoms, and deep cuts from Dave Matthews Band for some reason?) Ananda assured us that they could play pretty much every song we asked for, even ones not on their list. As the bride and groom, we of course missed a few songs but they seemed to hit 80-90% of our request list. In addition to our first dances, which required them to learn a couple new songs (“Lover” remix by Taylor Swift and Shawn Mendes, and an obscure Israeli tune), Ripcord were happy to let me create one of the highlights of a lifetime by letting me play drums with the band for “Boys of Summer” by The Ataris. Ripcord also provided a keyboardist for our ceremony on the beach, learning two more songs for our processionals and recessional (“You” by Dan & Shay, “Enchanted” by Taylor Swift), which helped create such a beautiful atmosphere. We appreciated the very reasonable payment timeline (50% when you book, 50% on event day). One minor issue was that we could not hear the dinner set in the dining area despite our paying to add an extra PA system to do so, but this would probably not be an issue for most couples hiring Ripcord. Because we had a day-of wedding coordinator, we didn’t handle any logistics ourselves on our wedding day, but we heard of no other logistical issues.

Brandy was incredible. Their range of songs was amazing and they happily shifted to older songs when they saw our guests responding to 70's music!! Really talented musicians and singers and I wish I had another event to host so I could listen and dance to them again!!

We cannot recommend East Coast Soul Verve Ensemble enough. Not only was the East Coast Soul team professional and easy to work with, but the actual wedding night was where they truly blew us away. Our number one priority was getting people on the dance floor and keeping them there, and they exceeded every expectation. The energy they brought was electric! They kept the momentum going all night long! We’ve lost count of how many guests have told us they were the best wedding band they’ve ever heard. If you want a band that is talented, high-energy, and knows how to read a room, look no further. Truly an exceptional experience!

We hired this amazing group for our wedding on January 31, 2026, and they were absolutely incredible! They created a phenomenal atmosphere from start to finish. Brick Park Band was absolutely incredible at our wedding! From the very first song to the final encore, they brought nonstop energy, talent, and professionalism that kept the dance floor packed all night long. Their musicianship was outstanding, and they did an amazing job reading the crowd and playing the perfect mix of songs to keep guests of all ages dancing and having fun. They were easy to work with, responsive throughout the planning process, and truly helped make our wedding unforgettable. So many of our guests are still talking about how great the band was! If you’re looking for a live band that will elevate your event and create an unforgettable party, we cannot recommend Brick Park Band highly enough.

Kahootz was the absolute best for our September 2024 wedding! The most frequent compliment we received about our reception was how incredible the band was. This team is the standard for professionalism and for getting people on the dance floor. The musicians are top tier: the singers are extremely talented, the guitar solos were awesome, and the brass section had the energy to the top. Chris and his team met with us before to discuss our likes, dislikes, and provide recommendations for the flow of the evening as well as a musical surprise for our family. This made us feel heard and that the music choices were tuned to our likes as well as let us trust in them to bring the party. We also hired their services for our ceremony audio, cocktail hour, and lighting. Needless to say, we highly recommend Kahootz!

We hired Soho from Night Shift Entertainment for our wedding reception, and they were hands down the best decision we made for our big day. From start to finish, they were absolutely incredible and truly the highlight of the entire party. Kasie, our coordinator, was a dream to work with—she made the entire process seamless and stress-free. The band itself exceeded every expectation. Their vocals and performances were unmatched, and the musicianship was next level. They brought so much energy, even getting into the crowd and making the dance floor feel electric all night long. They also took the time to learn a few special songs we requested, and they executed them flawlessly—it felt so personal and meaningful. All of our guests are still raving about them and saying it was the best wedding band they’ve ever seen. Yes, Soho is a splurge, but they were worth every single penny. If you’re considering them, don’t hesitate—they will take your wedding to the next level and make it unforgettable.

We booked Groove Authority for our wedding, and are very glad we did! Nearly every guest we talked to afterwards brought up how much they enjoyed the band! I usually don't dance, but their energy had me out on the dance floor all evening. They also did a great job on our custom song requests! Fantastic energy, fantastic music - you won't regret booking Groove Authority!

This is the 2nd wedding we’ve had The Connection at and they were just as fabulous as they were the first time. Professional friendly and so helpful. Can’t rave enough about them. A MUST HAVE at any function.

Booking Boston Premier was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The ceremony was flawless. Their DJ handled all of the music and audio, and everything sounded perfect. From the processional to the recessional, it was smooth, emotional, and exactly how we imagined it. I never once worried about timing or sound, which is priceless. Cocktail hour music was just as amazing. We went with their jazz trio, and it completely set the mood. Chill, elegant, and the perfect way to ease everyone into the night. Guests were literally stopping us to say how much they loved it. Then came the reception. Right before introductions, we hit a last-minute snag with the timeline. Without missing a beat, Ceasar adjusted, communicated with our planner, and made it all work seamlessly. Total pro! You’d never know anything changed. Once the party started, the dance floor stayed packed. It was fun, energetic, and just felt right. We're beyond grateful we trusted Boston Premier with our music. Best decision we made. They took the pressure off and delivered an unforgettable night.
