We hired their full 8-piece band and held our reception under a circus tent in South Dartmouth. We even saw relatives dancing we’ve never seen dance before—the shy ones, the quiet cousins, even the stoic uncles. Old and young alike were on that dance floor like they’d just been blessed by the funk gods.

We booked Groove Authority for our wedding, and are very glad we did! Nearly every guest we talked to afterwards brought up how much they enjoyed the band! I usually don't dance, but their energy had me out on the dance floor all evening. They also did a great job on our custom song requests! In a nutshell, we were blown away by the band's performance! When we booked Groove Authority, we were very excited for them to play our wedding and had high expectations given their reviews and the videos we watched of them. Even still, they exceeded our expectations! We hired the 8 piece band (all 3 lead singers) and definitely believe that all 3 singers is the way to go. Afterwards, we heard from our guests comments along the lines of "I've never seen a dance floor like that and I've been to a lot of weddings". The interaction of the singers with the guests on the dance floor helped keep the energy high all night long. They played many of the songs we requested to hear from their song list during both the dinner set and the dancing set which made us happy. A couple songs from our requested do not play list snuck in as well, but it hardly mattered to us as we were having so much fun. In addition to the reception, the band also took care of all of our needs during the ceremony and cocktail hour. We were also impressed with the band's professionalism in the face of unforeseen circumstances. Our point of contact was Serge who was extremely responsive, accommodating and capable. All the details that we had requested and spoken about in preparation for the wedding were honored on the day of the wedding, including some more nuanced requests about lighting and parent dances. We hope to hear Groove Authority play again someday at another wedding or event. Your entertainment is in good hands with this band!

OMG the best wedding band we could have asked for. From the start of the planning process to the wedding day we had the best experience working with the team. They answered all our questions in a timely manner and helped with the plan of our day.
