About the Alpenhorn B & B, we are a modern mountain inn situated on two naturally landscaped acres of alpine forest.The tranquil gardens have a stream and pond with green lawns surronded by ponderosa pines.Centrally located just blocks the Lake, Village and Ski Slopes. Originally a three bedroom house built in 1991. We remodeled and opened as an eight bedroom bed and breakfast in 1999. We have been given the AAA four diamond awards consecutively for eleven years in a row, for outstanding cleanliness and hospitality. We are the only four diamond facility in San Bernardino County. Each of our luxurious rooms are tastefully decorated with either a king or queen size feather bed, Flat screen T.V. w/DVD, gas fire place, private bathrooms, most have spa tubs for two and separate showers. Six of our rooms have private decks. We provide turn down service in the evening and refresh the rooms in the morning. We offer wine with hors d’oeuvres in the afternoon, liqueurs and cordials in the evening, and our gourmet breakfast in the morning. We have wireless internet, massage chairs, many DVDs, books, games, magazines as well as table tennis available.

It has been our pleasure to host many couples; weddings, elopements, honeymoons, anniversaries, birthdays, family reunions and romantic getaways. We have had intimate private elopements with just a single couple and larger garden ceremonies and receptions with as many as 200 people. It is an ideal place for a summer garden wedding, as it is much cooler in Big Bear, than down the mountain.

At our B & B you get to relax and enjoy your time celebrating with your family and friends for the entire weekend, rather than rushing here and there and just renting a hall for a few hours. For instance, the bridal party (up to 18 people) would check in on Friday, have hors d’oeuvres, do a rehearsal and then have a rehearsal dinner(catered in, out on the lake or at one of our local restaurants). In the morning they all enjoy our gourmet breakfast together. No stress. Everyone is right here to assist you in all the preparations. Our grounds are transformed into your romantic garden oasis. You don’t even have to drive to the chapel or reception site, you’re already here! Your other guests arrive to witness your vows and celebrate your nuptials. You and your beloved, pledge your love to one another in our peaceful, serene environment. Afterwards, there’s plenty of time to commemorate this joyous occasion surrounded by blue skies and towering pines. Then, after a magical night, you arise to another gourmet breakfast with your loved ones before going off on your honeymoon.
