While I'm blowing up the boards, I'd like to point out which posts are GUARANTEED to get you 40 comments and loads of controversy. 1. Should I have a cash bar? 2. Should I do a dollar dance? 3. Why won't my bridesmaid wear her hair exactly the way I want her to? Can anyone else think of other WW...

Luta, in my opinion, you win! Even if only the two of us know what you are talking about, you still win.

I can't believe people had the nerve to take bets on how long my wedding will last, AT OUR WEDDING! I mean his entire family was taking bets!

The sad part, this actually did happen at a wedding I know of. The groom's brother-in-law won the betting pool. The only member of the groom's family that did not participate in the betting was the groom's father (he abstained on principle, but did put in a few comments for 4 years, he's glad he abstained, he wouldn't have won anyway).

@Carmen: I'm not in PMS, I'm having my worst freaking period in two years. I've been popping pain killers faster than candy at halloween.

That post that Luta made sounds so very familiar to me... I just can't put my finger on it but I *know* I've read that on here (when I was lurking and not yet a posting member).

Do I REALLY have to invite my fourth cousins, aunts room mate from my uncles side.. who has 12 kids and 4 other wives that he is currently married to all at the same time with their kids (all 24 of them).. I mean doesn't the pizza delivery man who works at Domino's on Monday night .... who keeps me well fed. I mean is helping me get through life by bringing me my dinner I mean.. does it really matter that this is my sixth wedding in two years and I still want to wear white... And why do I have to feed everyone at my wedding reception.. can't I just give them a bag of chips and a cold sandwich.

You know what I'm talking about.. right... OMG!!!!!!!!!

Damn please.. all right all ready.. :-P

My fiance and I are getting married in less than a week. It's going to be small. No photographer. Instead I'm having my sister and various other people take random photos and then after everything is said and done my fiance and I will go to wal-mart to have a simple portrait done in our wedding clothes, it will be the same thing. I think that it's such a good idea that I'm surprised that no one else has thought of it. *Pats self on back* Really, I think the whole Wedding Industry is a bunch of crap. You are really crazy to spend $20,000 on a wedding, because you're just as married after. Even if your ceremony/reception only costs $100 ($40 for marriage license, $60 for officiant). I mean if your guests are offeded by being asked to bring food and singing since I can't afford a dj or ipod then they really don't like you.

I really wanted my sister to be my maid of honor, but my supposed "best" friend guilted me into asking her instead, even though she hated my then-fiance (just because he cheated on her with me, but don't worry he has changed since then) and her and I were barely getting along over it. So, one day I asked her to go dress shopping with me fully aware that she had an anniversary date with her husband that night and wouldn't and couldn't go. When she said no, I dropped her as my maid of honor because she "wasn't supporting me". Now she doesn't want to come to my wedding! That bitch!
