WWR: The Third Rails of Wedding Wire

Shannon S., on November 3, 2010 at 12:04 PM Posted in Planning 0 538

While I'm blowing up the boards, I'd like to point out which posts are GUARANTEED to get you 40 comments and loads of controversy.

1. Should I have a cash bar?

2. Should I do a dollar dance?

3. Why won't my bridesmaid wear her hair exactly the way I want her to?

Can anyone else think of other WW Third Rails?

@Brian - I have $3 and some cereal box tops. Why won't my florist accept that as payment?

-Will someone find everything I need for my wedding while I refresh the thread and don't do any actual searching myself.

    8. I want a potluck dinner should I include this on the invites above or below the registry details?

    9. One of my bridesmaids is fat should I tell her to diet or just kick her out of the party?

10.I want to invite ____ to the ceremony but not the reception, how do I word this?

    11. Well, I can't afford the $500,000 wedding I planned on so I think we should call it off.

-Fiance and I have been living together for donkey's years and have everything we need. I want to tell people to give me money? Should I include a cute poem with the invitation saying we need money? If so, can you Google one up for me?

(My usual response is that if you have "everything" you need, and you want to shake people down for money on top of all your blessings, you may want to consider whether you're greedy.)

Lol @ Star - I get irritated with that myself all the time! I have a sign by my desk that has a picture of Jesus on it that says "I don't have all the answers. Try Google"

@Shannon - this was great lunch time reading, thanks!!!

@Giggles - SOOOOO true! That one always gets heated!

My bridesmaids are causing drama by not behaving like indentured servants! What should I do?

    Oh! Here's a good one.

I love my fiance, but I'm not sure if I should marry him.

*I was actually going to make a long story like trolls usually do, depicting an abusive fiance. But that's a bit insensitive, so I took a different route.

So I haven't done the thank you notes yet, its only been 2 years though. I just can't bring myself to right them all out. Can I just print a form one out 300 times? Or better yet maybe I could just update my fbook with: I loved the stuff from the wedding every1! Well not the toaster from aunt sue, I hate toast, but well thanks anyway, I guess.

"I want a gorgeous perfect wedding for a budget of $10, but I'm not willing to cut the guest list or do a cake and punch reception! Should I sell my body to science, or simply continue to live in the realm of the impossible?"
