If you want the REAL story, you've come to the right place! James and I initially met the spring of 2000. We were taking the same Genetics course and didn't even know it. I did notice, however, that there was an Army student in the class. One day, he disappeared and I noticed that there was another male student in the class; but by then the end of the semester was drawing near. This student approached me one day and said, "I was absent in the last class, did we take any notes?" At this point, I was thinking to myself, I don't even know you and you're asking for my notes? Without missing a beat, I replied, "No, I really didn't take any notes, but all the information is in the book." He thanked me and walked away. The final project for the course was to design a website. As many of you know, computers and I are not the best of friends; I knew I was going to be in trouble. At the time, I didn't have a computer or a car. So in the weeks leading up to the final, I would commute by bus and be in the computer lab from 7 am until the start of class, which was around 12 pm, and then go back to the lab for a couple more hours The computer lab was so cold and unbearable! Needless to say, I was miserable. As fate would have it, I was putting the finishing touches on my project when my computer froze!!! I was flipping out; I couldn't believe all the time and effort I had put into this was about to be for nothing. The deadline for the website was 2 pm and everyday the project was late, was one grade letter was deducted. Why me Lord?!? Then, the same guy who asked for my notes a couple of days earler came over and asked me what was wrong. I told him I'd been working on this project and right before its due the computer decides to freeze on me. I was ranting on and on. Out of nowhere he says, "I live right down the street, you can come over to my house and finish it there." I didn't think twice about it, I grabbed my stuff and we made our way back to his house. I finally finished my project and thanked him profusely. After talking to him for a couple of hours, he revealed to me that he was in the Army. "Wait a minute, " I said, "you came to class in your fatigues?" I couldn't believe they were the same person! I felt like the densiest person, ever! We hung out for the rest of the afternoon. We watched the Pokemon movie; I loved Piccachu!!!! I met his dad and played hoops with him and his best friend, at the time. They were impressed with my skills. We started talking about our lives and what schools we went to. He went upstairs and brought down his high school and middle school yearbook. All the while, I was thinking to myself, "He talks alot!" I figured he must be bored or he really liked me; I'm glad it was the latter and not the former. We soon realized that we had practically lived in the same neighborhood and knew the same people! What a small world! When he dropped me off, I gave him my number and told him to call sometime so we can kick it. Not that I was pressed or anything, but I called him the next day to let him know that I had a good time and it worked like a charm! We've been inseparable ever since!

What are some of the trends, past or present, wedding related or not that you just CAN'T get behind? Currently for me, it's these fur vests. *shudder* In the past, it was fanny packs. Ew.
