Which came first?

I didn't use a planning checklist. I just randomly started picking things.

We picked a venue first because I couldn't plan anything else until we knew where we would be and what package we would get. Luckily, we ended up choosing an all inclusive venue so we dont need to get very much on our own

I tried to get a budget out of him FIRST, but he wouldn't and still won't give me one. He said just plan it and it will get paid for. But he will let me know if he feels something is too expensive. So I picked my bridesmaids first, my photographer, my DJ, then came the decision on food. I made decisions on things that were easier to secure first.

We were total weirdos and picked the date of the honeymoon first. 😂 Then picked the wedding date after!

Best description I can think of....we are "winging it" lol. We have a fairly long engagement. So we are just going by what comes naturally.

We planned the date first.
It holds a special meaning. Our wedding will be on our 5th anniversary.

100% jumped around. Some of the items were easier to decide than others.

We had the date and after finding the venue we only had 10 weeks to do everything so I was all over the place trying to get things done but it all worked out.

I had my half of the wedding party figured out, who was going to be our photographer, & who was going to be our officiant figured out first. Venue for reception & ceremony location depended on dates available which came second in getting planned. Also had some of the small details figured out like center pieces figured out before anything else also.

Did venue and then date. Then photo, video and DJ. We generally followed the flow but jumped around as needed as we are maintaining a budget and sometimes itvmakes more sense to move onto something else that are important to us but may not be at the latter part of the checklist.

1. Date
2. Guest List
3. Venue

So far we have completed those 3!

Today we received our contract from our Venue!!!

Date/Year. Venue. Working on guest list but the in laws like to stall on me the last 2 months ive asked so I gave up and said im topping off at 250. Now onto taste testing!

I used a checklist but jumped around to do the easy stuff first!

I have like 89 checklists, but I did venue and date at the same time.
