Where Are You Spending Your Wedding Night?

I_Found_Mr_Wright, on April 11, 2012 at 12:20 AM Posted in Planning 0 33

I still have no clue what we're going to do!

I'd looove to book a suite at this beautiful winery that has a hotel. It's the same place my FH proposed so I think it would be perfect! But it's super expensive. Is there like etiquette as to who pays for the wedding night suite? Or is it just the bride & groom who pay?

We are staying on site in a 1200 sq ft lodge home. We will be there for 4 nights at $199 a night... we are paying.

I think it would probably just be you guys unless someone decided to give it as a gift.

Where we spend the night will depend on if we are living with my dad still or not (we are moving in with him until we can get full time jobs after the move) If we are living with him i definitely would want to get a hotel- if we have our own place we'll just go home.

The venue for the location is a private club. They offer accommodations as part of our package, so we will spend the night there.

You know, we might just go back to our apartment as well. It almost seems more romantic to spend the night in your home as husband and wife than go somewhere and spend lots of money. Hm...I'll have to talk it over with FH. Although if my parents or his parents offer to pay for a suite, I won't argue :-P

That's a good point Leslie. I didn't think of what a mess our house will be after the wedding week! Guess I should start researching places to spend the night! lol

So I love the place we're spending our wedding night at so much that we're leaving our reception and driving almost 2 hours to get there. We're having a late checkout so we can make sure we enjoy all the things they offer including the IN ROOM POOL! I can't wait. I think FH may love the 24 hour pizza delivery to your room Smiley smile Here's some pics so you can love it as much as I do! It is a little pricey but we added it into our honeyfund in case anyone wants to chip in towards it Smiley smile

We are staying in a romantic little bed and breakfast. Our room has a private Jacuzzi tub. My mom paid for it - she says it's our wedding gift. Fine with me!

We are staying about 10 minutes from our house. They have a Reif room and my FH last name is Reif so he wants to stay there. We are paying for it ourselves. Also our friends have this thing when at the reception they go to your house and sabatoge your house so we don't want to come home to that.

We are staying at a hotel Thursday-Sunday for our wedding since our wedding is out of state. Our hotel options were limited since we are traveling with our dog so we needed to stay in a pet-friendly establishment.

My parents are paying for it (really it's lumped into our total wedding budget that they gave us). I told my mom I wanted a king bed and a jacuzzi when she booked the rooms haha. She also asked if they do anything special on our wedding night but they just said the typical champagne and chocolate (which is of course overpriced) so I told my mom she could just sneak into our room and decorate it herself with rose petals Smiley tongue I'm interested to see if she does lol

The area near our venue didn't have any honeymoon type deals so we just picked the closest to the venue. We had the room the night before so we could get ready then head to the ceremony and the night after. We stayed at the Embassy Suites.

We are spending it at the resort where we are getting married. We are getting married six hours away from home so there is no going back. Our plan is to get up the next day, eat breakfast with our guests, then hit the road for our honeymon.

    We are paying for this.

I think we're just going back to his house after the reception, even though my mother was warning me not to do that. She said that 100% people will come and play pranks... We may just say we're doing something else, but actually go to his house. Haha

I feel like my mom's friends were total buttholes (in a funny way), and now she thinks my friends are prank-crazy as well.

We're just going to go back to our house after the reception. We would stay at a hotel but we have some family staying until Sunday night and are doing a brunch with them on Sunday (which is also Mother's Day) so we felt getting a hotel would be a waste.

We are staying at a gorgeous little place called The Delaware Mansion which is just right down the street from our reception. They have around the clock butler service. I totally agree with Leslie about what a mess our house will be wedding week and no way do I want to come home to that on our wedding night lol.

We're staying in the complimentary bridal suite where we blocked our rooms. The next night at home, then off to Estes for our honeymoon--woo hoo!
