How soon after the proposal did you start wedding planning? Did you dive right in once you got the bling? Did you wait a little while to just enjoy being engaged? Did you already have some ideas in your head (or on Pinterest)? When did you start wedding planning? Photo by The DV Image in New York,...

So my situation is a bit different. My boyfriend and I knew we wanted to get married so we began to look at venues, with a date and the year in mind. Finally It took us a year to find the one to book. Now just waiting on the proposal!

I had been researching venues and pricing 6 months before he even proposed. I started officially planning and meeting with vendors 3 days after he proposed.

I started planning right away but we selected a date about 2 years off. We wanted a long leisurely engagement.

We haven't really been hardcore planning much. We talk about the wedding every other week about one topic. We have so far made a few decisions. Church, date, colors, center piece, and even the guest list.

I actually started planning a week after my engagement. I got engaged on December 23rd so with the holidays I wanted to enjoy them and not stress about planning right away. I knew that a lot of couples would be getting engaged over the holidays. So I thought the sooner I start planning the better!

I was planning before I got the ring! Not exact details, but I knew what I wanted, and started looking at the price of similar things I want, so I knew what kind of budget we would need.

I was super excited, but now we are both super excited and enjoy planning together!

We were engaged for a few months before we started planning. Things were just busy with work and honestly I was enjoying just being engaged! Now we’re 9 months out until the big day and there’s been lots of planning and preparing each day.

I started before we got engaged haha. When I got the ring we sat down and talked out a lot of the details and now I am just planning away and we have 2 years until we get married. haha.
