When did you start wedding planning?

How soon after the proposal did you start wedding planning? Did you dive right in once you got the bling? Did you wait a little while to just enjoy being engaged? Did you already have some ideas in your head (or on Pinterest)? When did you start wedding planning? Photo by The DV Image in New York,...

Before he proposed 😂! But just mentally and on Pinterest, we started putting deposits down and making real concrete decisions in January when he had proposed in December. But we have had a long engagement, so we spread everything out and only tackled things like...one thing a month.

Honestly, the next day. Our wedding is May of 2020 and we have most of it planned already. We are both so excited, we just can't wait but have to because we need to save for it.

I am 9 days out from engagement and we did our first venue tour today and have 5 more in the next week 😂 I’m like an organization freak, so it was bound to happen.

FH and I have been engaged going on 3 years, I didn't even really start thinking about or planning our wedding until about 15months after we were engaged. The process has been so fun we have definitely been taking our time planning because we want everything perfect. But it has allowed us to travel around to different places and meet new and exciting vendors as opposed to the basic selection in our area!

Got engaged. Mentally been preparing for years of what I'd like.... But since I'm planning to marry in June, I had to start pretty much asap

I am glad that I am not the only one who has started planning their wedding before the engagement.

I started planning small things like colors and bridal party long before getting engaged. My fiance and I had talked about some of the things we wanted as early as two years before he finally popped the question. When he finally did I went into full planing mode after about a few hours. We just got engaged on new years eve and want to get married in October so we don't have time to waste.

We started planning right away, pretty much. We are super organized and overthinkers, so that's just how we roll. We wanted to get as much of the wedding planning done as possible ahead of time so we can be as stress free as possible leading up to the day!

I actually waited six months after getting engaged to start wedding planning. We got engaged August 3, 2018 and immediately made a cross-country move from Cincinnati to Los Angeles for my job, so I didn't have the time to plan a wedding. Luckily, I already knew I wanted a long engagement. Now we have our wedding booked for May 30, 2020 and still have more than enough time for everything. I know some people want to get married right away, but for us it worked out better waiting and planning as we go.

I started right away. I had a basic idea already and knew where we wanted to get married at. I have time and I know right now is my time to enjoy our engagement.

He proposed on Christmas Eve and we started planning as soon as the new year hit. Our wedding wont be till September 2020 but we wanted to get the big stuff like finding the perfect venue.

In my head there were a few things that I started thinking about the couple days after getting engaged. It was a couple months before I seriously started looking for venues, dresses, etc.
