What was your first wedding purchase?

I purchased my dress!!

First was the deposit on the venue then the dress!

I didn't even think of a deposit! That's a pretty smart first purchase!

Also did a deposit on the venue and put deposits on vendors that I knew we really wanted! (photo, video, etc.) Next on my list is getting the dress and still need to find a florist!

That's awesome that your venue was free! Engagement photos are definitely an early wedding purchase!

If I remember correctly, first were the bridesmaid proposal gifts! Then photographer, videographer, and venue deposits, then part of our centerpieces, a baking appliance to help us make our own dessert table, and my most recent purchase were all my dresses (for the wedding, the rehearsal dinner, and the bachelorette). Our next purchase is probably my engagement ring - ha! Doing things a bit backwards.

We didn't even have engagement rings. The first thing I bought was a portable popup gazebo. I removed the covering from it, and used the frame with a covering I sewed to make our chuppah (Jewish wedding canopy).

It'll end up being my dress once I have the money to put down i'll make my appointment
