I went to my sister's wedding there. I'm a musician but I never played a wedding before that I was actually in and had to perform in. I panicked mistakenly and acted like a jerk to the staff but quickly apologized. They wouldn't hear a word of it. I know I was but they were so beyond wonderful. The beauty of this paradise was only surpassed by the beauty of everyone that worked there. I give ten stars and a comet too!! If my wife ever leaves me I am going to apply for a job there. Absolutely one of my best experiences and it wasn't even my wedding.

We hosted our wedding ceremony and reception at the Carolina Inn, and everyone there made our weekend so calm, memorable, and just perfect. The Carolina Inn has multiple spaces available for hosting ceremonies and receptions, and every corner of the Inn is so quaint! The walls of the Inn are really like a mini-museum filled with facts and photos of famous folks in Carolina history (we had a photo of Coach Dean Smith outside our suite, which delighted my husband, a huge Carolina basketball fan). We worked with three members of the Inn's event planning team (Megan, Kayla, and Gabriela) at different points throughout the planning process, and all three of them were so easy and fun to work with! They were all easy to reach and able to answer any question that we had. On the day of our wedding, Kayla worked with our day-of-coordinator to make sure everything ran smoothly, even with a last minute pivot indoors due to weather! We LOVED our menu selections, and Kayla and the kitchen staff were awesome in making sure dinner stayed on schedule. We also loved hosting our wedding at the Carolina Inn because my husband and I, as well as our friends and family, were able to stay right there at the Inn. Janis, at the Inn's front desk, did a wonderful job managing our room block and answering all of our questions re reservations. We would highly recommend the Carolina Inn to any couple searching for a quaint, historic venue in Chapel Hill.

University United Methodist Church

The people at University United Methodist Church are wonderful! The only reason I didn't give full 5's on everything is due to some confusion while trying to set up an appointment. (The church secretary forgot to write our meeting down, so when we showed up, the pastor had no idea we were coming and was unable to meet with us. It all worked out fine though; we just had a longer meeting the next time we were scheduled to meet.) Our church coordinator was Emily. She is amazing. I'm a fairly detail-oriented person and she was wayyy ahead of me. Both she and the organist, Tim, offered to look over programs and anything else we had. The chruch itself is lovely, but the people are what made everything so wonderful.

In an area where most venues only provide the space and maybe tables and chairs, the Carolina Club stands out as an all in one place venue. As a very busy bride, I did not have the time to manage a ton of contracts and vendors. By going with the Carolina Club I was able to have so much of the work taken care of for me. In addition, when I did the price comparisons, the Carolina Club, as an almost all inclusive venue, was the same if not cheaper than the venues where you bring in everything yourself. In addition to the venue (which is gorgeous), the Carolina Club has event planners who help you all along the way. They help you understand what tasks you need to do when and what decisions need to be made, even if you would have never thought you had to decide how you wanted your napkin folded :) After our wedding, I received so many compliments about the Carolina Club and specifically the food. One guest told me it was the best filet mignon they had ever had. Overall this venue was perfect for this busy bride and our guests had an amazing time in this beautiful space.

We chose the Siena for our wedding accommodation. They rented us 20 rooms at a very reasonable rate, especially considering the outstanding customer service and quality of rooms!! My husband (!!!) and I rented the largest suite they had and I was able to get ready with my 11 bridesmaids the morning of the wedding. It more than comfortably fit us, our hair and make up artists, and the handful of other family that came and went through the morning. The customer service was PHENOMENAL!!! The entire staff was so friendly and attentive to all of our needs. They were so quick to help, too. At one point we tripped the circuit breaker and within minutes we had power again. My absolute favorite part was when someone came by the room and asked if we wanted a full length mirror. He came back with the most gorgeous enormous mirror that we got to take pictures with!! They were also above and beyond accommodating to our ring bearers (2 Pekingese dogs), offering us dishes and doggy room service!!! At the end of the wedding night we continued the party at the hotel bar and lounge area outside and it couldn’t have been more perfect. THANK YOU to all the staff for helping to create the best day of my life!!!!!
