About

The Siena Hotel, Autograph Collection is a romantic wedding venue in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. The concept for this hotel was inspired by a honeymoon in Siena, Italy more than two decades ago. Every detail was hand chosen for authenticity and to create a haven where memories are born, especially on your big day. As you walk across the marble floor through the lobby, a sense of calmness washes over you as the rest of your worries fade away. Experience a romantic affair on your wedding day — it will be as if you are actually in Italy!

Facilities and Capacity
This 3,475 square foot space offers four event rooms for you to choose from. Couples looking to have a wedding of up to 100 guests have come to the right place. Their ballroom features natural light with a reception area in the lobby. Their Terrace, Lombardi, and Tuscany rooms are all infused with light and are perfect for intimate gatherings. An outside area features a dining area, lounge, fountain spot with room for 30 individuals, as well as a Bocce court.

Excellent experience

We chose the Siena for our wedding accommodation. They rented us 20 rooms at a very reasonable rate, especially considering the outstanding customer service and quality of rooms!! My husband (!!!) and I rented the largest suite they had and I was able to get ready with my 11 bridesmaids the morning of the wedding. It more than comfortably fit us, our hair and make up artists, and the handful of other family that came and went through the morning. The customer service was PHENOMENAL!!! The entire staff was so friendly and attentive to all of our needs. They were so quick to help, too. At one point we tripped the circuit breaker and within minutes we had power again. My absolute favorite part was when someone came by the room and asked if we wanted a full length mirror. He came back with the most gorgeous enormous mirror that we got to take pictures with!! They were also above and beyond accommodating to our ring bearers (2 Pekingese dogs), offering us dishes and doggy room service!!! At the end of the wedding night we continued the party at the hotel bar and lounge area outside and it couldn’t have been more perfect. THANK YOU to all the staff for helping to create the best day of my life!!!!!

We worked with chef Teddy Diggs at Il Palio at the Siena Hotel to plan a family-style rehearsal dinner. Chef Diggs accommodated our Halal meat request for my husband's father and created an outstanding menu that everyone loved. Local Arugula and Parmesan Salad, Risi e Bisi Risotto with English Peas, Wood Roasted Chicken, Lamb Meatballs Pomodoro with fresh mint and fava beans, olive oil crushed potatoes, cauliflower, asparagus with pesto, Italian cookies, goat cheese panna cotta with wildflower honey and toasted pistachios. I loved that he incorporated some traditional Persian ingredients into his Italian cuisine. Everything was seasonal and absolutely delicious!

We also used the Siena Hotel as our preferred hotel for our guests and ourselves - I had a junior suite where I got ready. The service provided at the Siena went above and beyond anything I could have imagined. They were located just a block away from our ceremony and reception venue at Weathervane and let us use two of their blue chairs for the Persian part of our ceremony - they even delivered them and picked them back up!

If you're looking for a luxurious, cost-effective venue to host your wedding, The Siena not only meets but exceeds all expectations. From the moment your guests arrive, they are treated as royalty. From the doormen, to the event staff every need and want is attended to with the utmost care. This venue is sophisticated, classy and perfect for intimate ceremonies. The environment and decor is modern and refined and elegant enough that expensive decorations, while not necessary in this space, are highlighted in the best possible way. And the cherry on top? The fantastic cuisine provided by Chef Teddy and the stellar team at Il Palio. The Siena is truly a hidden gem! The events management staff are top notch and rival many of the top tier wedding planners in the area in attention to detail, creativity and services offered. I cannot say enough good words about this fantastic venue. My husband and I truly enjoyed working with the entire team to host our May 2016 wedding here!

We had a small non-traditional wedding at Siena over Thanksgiving weekend, & we were thrilled with the service that the hotel staff & the wedding planner provided to us. It was the perfect venue for us, & the staff was so responsive & professional & catered to our every need. We couldn't have asked for more from every member of their staff.
The food was wonderful from Il Palio (we did do a tasting prior to the wedding), & the rooms where our guests stayed were excellent value.
The staff was really helpful on every aspect & made us feel so welcome & taken care of.
We would definitely recommend the Siena for any of your special occasions!!

Excellent venue. The food was delicious and the service terrific. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating during the planning of the rehearsal dinner as well as room arrangements for guests. My guests who stayed at the Siena were so impressed and comfortable - even Ellie, my niece's 12yr old dog, who was made to feel most welcome.

We used the Siena Hotel as our base for my daughter's wedding. Our guests stayed at the Siena, the wedding party got ready at the Siena and the farewell brunch the day after the wedding was also held at the Siena.

The staff at the Siena is over the top helpful and friendly. Our guests could not stop talking about how pampered they felt. Just to give you a sense of the service. We brought back a wedding cake and they wrapped it and stored it for us. The bar stayed open late every night for our guests. The food at the breakfast was amazing and the perfect way to end a beautiful weekend.

The shuttle folks were so nice and helpful, bringing the bridal party water. Dave the catering manager took great care of the girls getting ready in one of their large suites.

You can not go wrong with the Siena for any situation! Love them.

The Siena Hotel took almost all the stress out of planning our wedding. They provided a beautiful venue and amazing food. They coordinated all our other vendors such as our florist, cake, minister and musicians. We did not have to micromanage anything and were thus able to enjoy our ceremony and reception without worrying about anything going wrong. The food was especially great and we received many compliments on it.

Stayed here on our wedding night before flying out to Venice, Italy! The accommodations were luxurious- ornate in design, but completely comfortable in experience. We felt so spoiled and happy. Our first hotel room together! :D And the italian style of the hotel made us feel like we were already in Italy. I only wish there had been a complimentary breakfast..
