Ardenwood Farm is a horse farm and wedding destination located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Nestled in rolling hills with views of verdant forests and landscaping, this scenic and romantic location features a variety of picturesque event spaces that include the horse barn and pastures and old oak tree.
Facilities and Capacity
This working horse farm and private property offers a variety of covered and outdoor event spaces for weddings and receptions. Wedding ceremonies can be held in the the courtyard of the horse barn, under the old oak tree, or in the covered arena. Receptions can be held in the large covered wedding pavilion arena with an outdoor patio and pergola with the backdrop of a 47 acre horse farm with rolling pasture land and forests. The beautiful main horse barn provides the perfect location for intimate wedding events such as bridal showers and rehearsal dinners, as well as a groom’s lounge and bridal suite perfect for day of preparations.

Built-in rain plan was just what we needed
Beautiful venue, great service, and exactly what we needed for our big day. If you are like me and have your heart set on an outdoor wedding, this is absolutely the way to go to have a built-in backup plan! Sure enough, it rained through almost our entire reception, but we were able to still be outside and under cover in the arena, where we ended up doing everything from the ceremony to dinner to dancing. We wish we could have used the venue as originally planned (with the ceremony under the beautiful oak tree and dancing on the patio in front of the new outdoor fireplace) but I was so happy to not have to move things completely inside, which we would have had to do at other venues.
On top of that, Julia and her husband were great to work with throughout the whole process, they provided and offered a lot of what we needed from tables and chairs to decor, the bridal suite and groom’s suite were wonderful comfortable places to get ready, and the horses added just the right fairytale touch.

Hands Down No Better Place
Julia and her family are the most inviting, loving and caring people! We could not have asked for a better venue nor more support. We experienced several hiccups during our preparation and actual wedding! Julia was extremely patient, and offered to help with as much setting up and organizing possible. She ensured our day was amazing from start to finish. She assured us our day would be special and she accommodated our family and friends with such an inherent warmth. Do not think twice about booking your wedding, reception and/or rehearsal with Ardenwood Farm. Sis, just book your tour. You will not be disappointed. Thank you Julia and family, much love! Amazing Venue!
Having our wedding at Ardenwood was a dream. We could not have asked for better service, communication, and professionalism from the owner and staff. Would do it all again in a heartbeat. Absolutely loved our day and felt like everyone worked to make sure it was special and things ran smoothly. Couldnt have asked for anything better!!

Amazing venue!
We could not be happier with how our wedding turned out at Ardenwood Farm. It's such a beautiful location. Julia is super friendly and easy to work with. She was incredibly flexible with helping us have our perfect day even amidst a pandemic! She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and had everything exactly how we envisioned. She really took care of us and made us feel at home on her farm. Also being able to use the private apartment on site was an added bonus and created a unique experience. We are honored to have been the very first wedding at Ardenwood Farm on 10/10/2020! Highly recommend this venue.

The best choice for your wedding day!
We are so happy that we found Ardenwood for our wedding day! We could not have chosen a better venue. The staff is incredibly accommodating and flexible, as well as knowledgeable. The place is naturally beautiful, so you don't have to worry about over-decorating it! The horses are such a wonderful accompaniment to the venue and our guests loved getting to see them. The bridal and groom suites are lovely and were very comfortable for preparations. There are many different ceremony and reception sites to chose from and it is truly an all-weather venue. Ardenwood met and exceeded our expectations and we cannot recommend them enough! We had the best wedding and Ardenwood was a huge part of it.
