Our April 2026 wedding here was absolutely perfect! The team was so easy to work with, and they made the night truly flawless. We chose to use their full-service in-house planner, and Caroline was amazing. She was incredibly detail-oriented and kind, which made it so easy for me to feel relaxed both before and during the wedding, which felt like a stress-free day.

Can't recommend enough!
The Barn of Chapel Hill is an absolute dream of a venue! It’s SO beautiful, from the spacious interior with high ceilings, wooden beams, incredible bridal and groom’s suites, and personalized chalkboard art, to the surrounding land, with its tall NC trees and curated gardens. The in house florals by Christine were immaculate and our guests were absolutely raving about how beautiful everything was! She took our very basic, foundational vision and created something really incredible. The best part though, was working with everyone at BOCH. Kara and Melissa especially (we worked with them the most) were exceptionally kind, warm, welcoming, genuine, communicative, and patient throughout the whole process.

BEST Venue for Ceremony and Reception!!
The Barn of Chapel Hill was absolutely INCREDIBLE! The Barn was the first vendor we picked and was truly perfect. It is an absolutely gorgeous venue that will make all of your flower/garden dreams come true. They have beautiful areas for the ceremony and cocktail hours. The brides suite and grooms area are both super nice as well! And of course the amazing interior for reception space! Kara was so kind and considerate during our whole wedding process and went above and beyond to help make our special day happen. When COVID started, Kara was understanding and flexible with our plans. We were able to host an intimate ceremony there on our original wedding date (July 2020) and now finally got to celebrate with our friends and family this June there. We are so grateful and happy to have had so many special memories at the Barn of Chapel Hill.

The best venue!
We had our wedding ceremony and reception at The Barn of Chapel Hill and it was the most beautiful day ever. We chose this venue because it had everything we were looking for! Beautiful florals and reception space, a variety of spaces for different events, and a great team to work with! The venue is a perfect mix of rustic and elegance. Kara has been so great to work with and she was very responsive to all of our questions while planning. We highly recommend The Barn of Chapel Hill for your wedding venue!

Great experience!!
We had a wonderful experience at the Barn of Chapel Hill. It is a gorgeous venue and Kara was so helpful in finding a date that worked and answering our questions. Our wedding day was wonderful and we couldn't have asked for a better location for it! Highly recommend!

DREAM Wedding Venue!
I can’t recommend The Barn of Chapel Hill enough! We wanted a destination wedding that was still affordable for our guests since we live in New York, but the majority of our family is in Michigan and our friends are all across the country. I did a ton of research online and immediately fell in love. My now husband and I flew out for a site visit in June of 2018 and were happy to confirm it’s just as dreamy in-person, and Kara (the owner) and Jenn (in-house floral designer) were so friendly that I knew they’d be great to work with.
I previously worked for an event planning company so knew I wanted a specific type of venue based on my experience working weddings. The Barn of Chapel Hill checked all the boxes -
first off, it’s a gorgeous barn with air conditioning (very important to my partner). Secondly, it’s located on a flower farm (so is not only beautifully landscaped, but also one less vendor needing to be added into the mix). It includes tables & chairs that not all venues offer, saving you money on furniture rental costs. Logistically it’s a dream because there are separate areas so that you can have your ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all on-site in close proximity to each other, while still allowing each event to feel magically their own. There are also getting ready areas for both sides of your bridal party. And most importantly (to us), it’s pet friendly, so our dog was able to be with us on our special day.
We originally planned for a June 2020 wedding, however, ended up having to postpone multiple times due to COVID. I could not be more thankful for how amazing all our vendors were, allowing us to move our date multiple times. Kara was especially helpful - reaching out proactively to provide available dates and making it super easy for us. I also owe our amazing team of vendors to her, as she shared The Barn of Chapel Hill’s preferred vendor list with us which we heavily relied on and which helped ensure everything went smoothly the day of. We finally tied the knot on August 21st, 2021 and are able to honestly say that it was the best day ever! (Truly magical with all the flowers and the butterflies that they bring!!)

The Perfect Venue for Us!
The Barn of Chapel Hill is truly a magical place - it was the perfect venue for my now husband and I to have our wedding this September!
When we got engaged in January of 2020, we started looking at venues and from the moment I walked into The Barn of Chapel Hill, I knew we would get married there. We are both UNC graduates and really wanted our wedding to bring all of our loved ones to a place we both care about. The Barn of Chapel Hill allowed us to do that in such an amazing way. The brick patio outside of the large barn doors was an incredible spot for our ceremony, the covered patio and lawn area made for the most beautiful cocktail hour, and the barn itself allowed for a reception room of 135 people to feel so intimate and joyful while also having plenty of space and room to talk, dance, and enjoy the evening. The bridal getting ready suite and groomsmen suite were also wonderful, and they even provide a planning guide and list of go-to vendors which helped us so much along the way!
Kara, the venue owner, is the kindest soul and was so supportive all along the way leading up to our wedding day. Our original date was September 2020 and we ended up having to postpone our celebration until September 2021 due to COVID-19. Kara worked with us so patiently through all of this. At the time we had to postpone I know she was going through the same thing with so many other couples, but she still made us feel so important, empathized with us, and I could tell she truly cared about doing everything she could to make our day special even if it had to be delayed.
I can not say enough how amazing Jennifer Wood is. She is the most wonderful florist and her creations are grown on-site at the barn! Jenn is truly an artist and brought my floral vision to life better than I ever could have imagined. She even added special touches all around the venue for the day and just went above and beyond in a way that I can never thank her enough for. I have had multiple friends and family members tell me that they have never seen more beautiful flowers than at our wedding. Jenn is just the greatest.
I will always be so grateful that we got to have our wedding here. The Barn of Chapel Hill is the best and the people are even better. Thank you for for everything!

An absolute dream
The Barn of Chapel Hill was our dream venue, run by a dream human. When we toured The Barn we knew it was exactly what we were looking for: the perfect blend of outdoor and indoor, elegant yet nature-inspired. It mattered to us to choose a space that welcomes all folks of all faiths, sexualities, races, and genders, and that honors the farming families on whose shoulders we stand... plus, it's a flower farm with honeybees - so beautiful and fun!! When we read more about The Barn's backstory and the work that Kara had put into the venue, we felt a connection. Meeting Kara and working with her early on solidified our decision - she was kind, compassionate, open-minded, and genuinely excited for us. Kara also connected us with Jennifer Wood of Wild Flora Flowers, who was also a DREAM to work with. Jenn's creativity, imagination, eye for detail, and compassion are truly unparalleled, and her kindness knows no bounds.
The Barn was such a joyous space for our wedding day - we loved having our ceremony on the brick patio and cocktail hour on the lawn, and our guests loved the ability to move around freely and come in and out during the reception. It also ended up being a perfect space to employ COVID-19 precautions - the Barn was airy and well-ventilated, and our guests had plenty of room to spread out. Everyone commented to us that The Barn was the most beautiful wedding venue they had ever been to.
From a planning point of view, when COVID-19 upended life for everyone and we had to postpone three times, Kara was beyond gracious, getting back to us immediately and helping us find dates that worked for everyone in our family and wedding party, all the while reassuring us with kind words. Jenn, meanwhile, was so patient and kind as she changed our floral plan with each postponement to reflect seasonal changes and availabilities. On wedding day, Kara's kindness and happiness were calming and grounding.

The best of the best!
HIGHLY recommend the Barn of Chapel Hill! We got married in July 2021 and had a wonderful experience. Kara is wonderful to work with on the venue, and Jenn is an AMAZING floral magician. Our families and guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful the barn was - absolutely perfect for our dream day. Would also recommend all of their preferred vendors! We didn't worry about anything because they were all so proactive, communicative, and helpful.
