We cannot thank Agnes enough for her amazing efforts on Saturday. The food was, somehow, just as delicious as at our tasting earlier this year. People were raving throughout the night and the next day, we heard multiple people say it was the best wedding food they have ever had. My only regret is that I did not steal a bite of a vegetarian's vegetable pie, but luckily we have that recipe to recreate! I woke up the next morning craving her beans for breakfast. She was so accommodating to our aesthetic wishes with all of the silver that my mom collected, and veering from her norm of one large table for the cocktail hour. I heard a story from my bridesmaid's mother about how delicious and beautiful everything looked in the backyard. She was talking with someone about the whole apples, thinking there was no way people would be eating an entire piece of fruit, only to find her husband moments later with a whole apple in his hand, munching away. She was so surprised, he said "what, were they decorative??" It was just perfect. Thank goodness my husband and I were given a plate after our ceremony, we would have been devastated to miss it. I found out the following morning that the ovens that we rented from our rental company did not work, and the team had to heat everything up in my husband's parents' kitchen. We were absolutely clueless during the event. We could not be happier or more grateful.

Agnes is a phenomenal businesswoman and caterer. Throughout the entire process, from our first inquiry to the wedding day itself, she was kind, cool and collected. She has her business down to a science and she operates as a well oiled machine. The tasting at her home was cozy, personal and fun. On the actual day of the wedding, her staff was competent, professional, friendly and energetic. They really went with the flow of our day and seemed genuinely happy to be there even though they were working so hard. The food was absolutely out of this world, and guests continue to reach out and remind us how phenomenal the catering was. We did a family style meal of braised short rib, garlic mashed potatoes, summer vegetables and a strawberry arugula salad. She also included some fabulous stationary appetizers, fresh bread and butter, and a magnificent honeybee cake. For the amount of lavish and scrumptious food it availed our guests we found her to be so reasonably priced and accommodating. She went with and executed our vision with grace and competence. If you’re looking for a wedding caterer in the Hudson Valley, look no further than this Irish gem. Agnes and team, we salute you and our gratitude will extend for the rest of our days. Our obsession with Agnes Devereux and her delightful culinary creations started when my daughter Aubrey was a SUNY New Paltz student. We stopped by her Village Tea Room and both had a slice of Honey Bee Cake. Orange scented cake, apricot preserves, honey butter cream and chocolate truffle bees. MMMMM.....heaven!

Aubrey said: "When I get married, I MUST have this as my wedding cake!"

Dreams do come true. Agnes started her own catering company when she moved to Stattsburg New York. This summer, Agnes catered Aubrey and her husband Chris' wedding at Rustic Ridge Farm in Kerhonkson New York.

The food was beyond. Creative. Fresh. Delicious. Guests licking their fingers while they ate the most tender short ribs? Yes!

My daughter and son in law's wedding day was a joyful celebration; bright and happy. It was in no small measure due to the delicious meal and caring, smiling service that Agnes and her team provided to all of our guests.

We had a wonderful experience working with Agnes for our wedding this May! From our very first tasting, we knew we were in great hands. The food was absolutely outstanding, and after that initial meal, we couldn't wait to share it with our guests on our wedding day.

Between the intentional and thoughtful planning throughout the whole process, to the flexibility in curating our menu, Agnes exceeded our expectations. During the wedding and the days after, guests kept telling us, “I’ve never had wedding food this good before.” Every dish was flavorful and beautifully executed.

We went the non-traditional route for wedding cakes and chose Agnes’s signature Honey Bee Cake, and it was delicious! Friends shared that they wish they could have had more slices. It also served as a memorable centerpiece for the celebration!

A million thank yous to Agnes for helping make our wedding so special! We are incredibly grateful for her talent and care, and we hope to have the opportunity to work with her again someday. We highly HIGHLY recommend Agnes for your wedding day celebration!

Agnes was a such pleasure to work with. She met our needs in every way. From baking a stunningly beautiful and delicious cake with high quality ingredients (which is hard to find) to delivering the cake to the venue she exceeded all of our expectations. I am so glad we hired Agnes Devereux to cater our wedding. She and her team made delicious family-style meals (and three wedding cakes with different flavors) for our 100 guests, and many of them still rave about the food! For me, the most important parts of a wedding are the food and the music—both set the tone and satiate guests in more ways than one, so it was really important to find a great chef. When we went to her charming farmhouse for the tasting several months in advance, we were thrilled to sample delicious offerings and put together a balanced menu. I spent six months dreaming about the pinot noir braised brisket afterward, and couldn't wait to have it again on our wedding day. And not only is Agnes a great chef, but she is also a delightfully warm, funny, and detail-oriented person. She was communicative and organized throughout the process, a dream to worth with. We highly recommend her!

Hiring Agnes and her team to cater our wedding in May 2025 was the best decision we made! 10/10 recommend! She is well-experienced professional, cooks and bakes delicious food, and has a warm, kind presence. We knew we wanted to hire a caterer who gave the right "vibe" - not pushy, but knowledgeable, easy to communicate with, understanding and reliable AND sourced local ingredients. She was all of that and so much more.
We also appreciated how transparent Agnes was with cost. It wasn't a one-size-fits-all, but instead we could weight different options and pick and choose the things that were important to us. She helped us make decisions for rentals, all the while being considerate of our budget.
Our guests still talk about the food at the wedding..."those deviled eggs!" "the short ribs were sooo tender" "the roast beef crustinis!" and on and on. The food was incredible and her staff was so sweet, kind, and super on top of it throughout, we didn't have to worry about a thing. Hire Agnes Devereux Catering, you won't regret it!

Agnes was so lovely to work with for our wedding cake! We went with the almond/raspberry & chocolate layers for our cake and they were INCREDIBLE. We also really appreciated how responsive she was from the very first email! We can't wait to order mini versions of the cakes for our anniversary next year :)

If Agnes has your date open, you should put a deposit down ASAP - she absolutely lives up to her reputation as the best in the Hudson Valley (and beyond).

After our tasting there was no question about who we would go with, everything was excellent and we had a really hard time choosing between the options! Quality did not disappoint at scale on the day either: all of our guests, including my parents' most discerning friends, said it was the best food they had ever had at an event.

There are many things to stress over when planning a wedding, but I never stressed once about the quality of our dining experience. Agnes is so organized, has stellar advice, and gracefully guided us through decisions we didn't have experience with while still making sure all choices were ours.

My fiance and I absolutely loved working with Agnes. Given that we were planning the wedding on our own, having her as our caterer was invaluable. From coming with us to choose rentals, to attending a sight visit to lay out the placement of our tent, to answering numerous small questions promptly and kindly, our wedding wouldn't have been nearly as good without her. On the day, the food came out on time and hot, and everyone raved about the Bee Cake. Would highly recommend hiring Agnes for your wedding!
