  Delicious, Dedicated, Dependable, Devereux

  Agnes catered my wedding this October and my Husband and I couldn't be more grateful for her amazing food and service. Agnes had invited us over a year ago for a tasting in her home and we were blown away by the taste and quality of her food. Not to mention her wonderful personality and hosting skills.
  
  One of our goals was to have a wedding with memorable food that people enjoyed, Agnes and her team brought that to life. She was accommodating for all dietary needs and everyone loved their meal. Agnes is communicative and professional, so as the bride and wedding planner, I was grateful for her consistency. Whatever your event may be, if quality food is what you want, Agnes and her team have the answer.
  
  Family style service was THE WAY TO GO!

  Agnes Devereux Catering

  Agnes Devereux and her wonderful staff executed an amazing dinner service for our October wedding, exceeding our wishes every step of the way. The family-style plating was so beautiful and everything tasted so delicious... I'm still dreaming of the Salted Caramel Chocolate Cake! We're so glad we found Agnes, she was so great to work with, and we received so many compliments from guests about the food (especially the outstanding Apple Parsnip soup course!) and the service. Thank you!

  Agnes made our wedding possible

  We're not exaggerating when we say that Agnes made our wedding possible. Of course, there's the food - it's tremendously good, beautifully presented, and perfectly represents the farm-to-table ethos of the Hudson Valley (the mashed potatoes are a must). We finalized our menu after a delightful tasting dinner which she hosted in her own home kitchen. When the day arrived, everything tasted just as it had in that kitchen.
  
  But there's everything else, too. Right from the beginning, Agnes also took charge of ensuring that we got all of our rental needs sorted for our backyard wedding and helped us every step of the way as our needs and guest count changed. She was always available if we had questions about how to deal with X or Y problem, even if it had nothing to do with catering. We really would have been lost in the process of wedding planning without her guidance. Thank you so much, Agnes, for all of your hard work in making our wedding possible.

  Fantastic experience!

  We had the most amazing experience working with Agnes! The whole process was smooth. Prompt email communication, a wonderful tasting experience at her home, and the food on the day of the wedding was fantastic. She even went out of her way to help us with a last minute issue we had with a stove/oven at our venue. Just a phenomenal person to work with!

  Amazing food, exceptional service

  Not only is Agnes a joy to work with, her food is incredible. Honestly, when we first tried the food at her house, it was delicious, but I assumed it couldn't possibly be that good at the wedding. But then somehow, at the wedding, it was better. I can't count the number of guests who came up to me after telling me it was the best food they'd ever had at a wedding. It was not just good for wedding food, it was delicious period. Agnes was also SO accommodating of guests with food sensitivities. I was amazed at how generous and flexible she was. And all for a very reasonable price! She is responsive, organized, and lovely. I now just want to attend more weddings that Agnes caters so I can have her food again.

  I urge you to consider Agnes for your wedding!

  Agnes catered my daughter's wedding, attended by 160 guests, on July 1. I can't say enough good about her and her wonderful crew. We'd already known about Agnes' magical way with food, having eaten several times at the lovely little restaurant she had several years back in New Paltz. Catering the wedding was no easy feat, but she and the staff pulled it off flawlessly. After the ceremony, we were showered with five different passed hors d'oeuvres on the lawn outside the converted barn where my daughter was married. Then there was a massive spread of cheeses, meats, fruits and all kinds of savory goodies, all top quality. Guests were given three choices for dinner in advance: chicken pot pie, short ribs of beef, or a vegan stew for vegans and vegetarians, All were preceded by a delicious salad and accompanied by delicious fresh veggies and savory starches. Not to mention a delicious wedding cake. I have no idea how Agnes, who was at the wedding the entire time overseeing her staff, including 10 servers, three kitchen cooks and a banquet manager, was able to do this, but every entree was hot (and delicious) when it was brought to the tables. I can't tell you how many people have raved about the food, including some ridiculously picky friends, even nearly two weeks later! Having Agnes cater the wedding was the best choice we could have made.

  The best there is!!!

  Before hiring Agnes for my wedding, I actually worked for her as a server on and off for a number of years. Not only was she always an amazing person to work for, but an absolute legend of a caterer. I always knew that there wasn’t anyone else I’d want to cater my own wedding. The guests raved all night and continue to reach out to gush about how delicious the food was as well as the presentation. The servers were on top of things all night. Agnes is the very best and I’m so very grateful that we hired her for our wedding. I just wish I could transport back to that night and enjoy the food all over again. It was truly magic!

  Incredible catering! Delicious and beautiful!

  Agnes and her team catered our wedding last weekend, and it was absolutely incredible! Her food was delicious and beautiful. It's clear that Agnes is passionate about cooking and we loved that she curated a menu with local ingredients. Superbly talented, Agnes was a true joy to work with!

  June 10 wedding

  Agnes and her team catered my wedding on June 10th and my guest are still racing not only about the delicious food but the professionalism of her staff. Also, she made the wedding cake and other desserts which were to die for.

  Agnes used to own the Village Tea Room in New Paltz so I was familiar with her food. We contacted her for a tasting and we were one and done. Didn't need to look anywhere else. The hardest part was deciding which entrees to include since they all looked so good! We chose her Sour Cherry Beef Brisket and the Apple Cider Pork Shoulder. Everyone raved over it. Our two sides were the mashed potatoes and the English Peas...I had people tell me how much they hated peas but they ate all of hers! The charcuterie spread for the cocktail hour was so good, the bride was lucky to get a single bite thanks to her sister. The best thing was everything is sourced locally so we could show off our lovely area to our guests who had come from out of state. Agnes is also famous for her Bee Cake but she does others wonderfully as well. We went with 3 small cakes: The Bee Cake, a lemon curd cake and Japanese style Strawberry Short Cake (bride's request which was spot-on). Service was excellent. Everyone was so kind. I'd give 10 stars if possible.

  Agnes is Amazing!

  Agnes is an incredible caterer. We are so lucky to have had her and her wonderful staff as part of our wedding. From the cocktail hour, to dinner and dessert, everything ran so smoothly! Agnes and her staff took care of everyone so well, and made sure that we all had exactly what we needed, when we needed it. Her food was some of the most delicious we’ve ever tasted, and our guests felt the same way! Our honeybee cake was incredibly adorable and special, and somehow managed to taste even better than it looked. We could not recommend Agnes highly enough for your wedding or event!

  The caterer of our dreams!

  Agnes was everything we could have dreamed of in a caterer. Ahead of the wedding, she was a warm, kind, calming presence. The tasting we did with her, in her beautiful home kitchen, was a truly special experience. All of her food is delicious, and she's incredibly talented at executing at scale. Our nearly 200-person wedding went off without a hitch. She was flexible and managed to hold the entrees until later than anticipated when our cocktail hour ran long. And all of our guests loved the food! My biggest regret of my wedding day was that I didn't get time to try all of the beautiful desserts she'd made. I really can't recommend her enough!

  Perfection

  Agnes' is absolutely delicious. Every person at my wedding went crazy over absolutely everything we had from the appetizers to dessert. Agnes helped organize all of the rentals for us and thank goodness she did, she thought of every single thing. She and her team helped us set up and break down our event. Her staff were all so kind and attentive. I didn't get a chance to try our wedding cake the night of so they wrapped me up a piece to take home!! Perfection from start to finish.

  Agnes' is absolutely delicious. Every person at my wedding went crazy over absolutely everything we had from the appetizers to dessert.   Agnes and her team are amazing to work with. She made our day sooo special. Her food was incredible, from the citrus salad to the meats to the side dishes (omg the polenta), and the desserts were out of this world!!! (We can't believe how quickly the desserts disappeared in the hands of our guests.) She is one of the few caterers who really cares about the ingredients she's using, whose home is stocked with pickled ingredients and preserves that she makes and uses throughout the year. And the flavors in her food are unmatched as a result -- you can taste the care and ingredient quality in every dish. Our families are self-proclaimed major food snobs and they came over to us to rave about the food and ask who our caterer is. On top of all that, the service was incredible and everyone was so professional and kind. Anyone who gets to work with Agnes is truly lucky!!

  An incredible experience!

  We can't say enough about how wonderful it was to work with Agnes - her catering made our wedding infinitely more memorable. Not only was the food delicious, but she made the entire process a real joy - from the planning to the tasting to the event itself.

  Delicious vegetarian reception

  We had a very delightful, intimate wedding in the Catskills. We are both vegetarian and wanted to continue the theme for our wedding weekend. Agnes offered so many great options for vegetarian courses. At a private tasting at her farmhouse kitchen, we had difficulty narrowing down the choices - everything was so good. Agnes and her team went above and beyond providing bites for the cocktail hour and also the cake (we chose the honeybee cake - highly recommended!). The meal itself was delicious and service all around was excellent. They packed some of the leftovers too! A very memorable experience.

  A Dream Caterer

  From the very start, Agnes was an absolute pleasure to work with. Her food is delicious, her baking is exceptional, and her staff is unflappable. Everything from the tasting, to the menu selection, to the day of management and service was perfect. Agnes and her staff are absolute professionals -- they even handled the set up of the tent sidewalls when things got a little windy. It was delightful having Agnes and her team there with us on the day of, as they added to the intimate and celebratory atmosphere of the day perfectly! 10/10 would recommend!

  Agnes is an exceptional caterer. She combines delicious beautiful food with "service with a smile" at a reasonable price. She became well known in the Hudson Valley with her restaurant but now focuses exclusively on catering. From appetizers to desert everything is superb. Those in the know order her honeybee cake, there is never a crumb left! She caterers only one wedding a weekend so dont wait to book her. You will not go wrong.

  The perfect caterer in every way

  It was such a pleasure working with Agnes for our June 2019 wedding at Mohonk Preserve. Knowing she'd done a lot of weddings up there before gave us confidence she could pull off a smooth affair at that remote spot - and she did! Her food is truly remarkable - local, seasonal, delicious and beautiful to look at, too. Our wedding cake was amazing (pro tip: get the chocolate chubby cookies too, OMG). Her servers were professional and her captain Cathy was calm, cool, and graceful under pressure. Agnes was responsive to our emails and always provided clear communication. She's the real deal and we couldn't recommend her more.

  Delicious!

  We used Agnes for our October 2018 wedding in the Catskills. We live in NYC and had never been to the Village Tea Shop before, so before we hired her we drove up and had dinner there. It was so good that we decided to hire her on the spot. It's not easy making dinner for 100 people but Agnes did it in such a way that each dish felt as if it had been cooked a la carte. We did a family style dinner with two seasonally appropriate meat entreés and the understanding that our vegetarian/vegan guests would get their own separate dish, which they did. Everyone raved about the food. But the real highlight was the "honey bee" wedding cake. It was adorable and delicious and several guests emailed me days later to ask me who made it. When I told them it was the same caterer who cooked the dinner they couldn't believe it. Agnes can really do it all.

  We had Village Tearoom cater our vegetarian buffet style wedding this past September. Agnes was a dream to work with from the start. She was incredibly responsive and accommodating. When we met her at the restaurant to try the food, it was love at first bite; everything was incredible and she provided her insight as we built the menu. Throughout the process, she was supportive and communicated with us every step of the way. When the big day came, her staff worked closely with us and the reception flowed beautifully; her banquet manager and staff were wonderful and the food looked as amazing as it tasted. Our guests loved the Potato Toussaint tart that was served as one of the entrée options and for our cake, we had a carrot cake that was so beautifully displayed and one of the best cakes we've ever had! Working with the Village Tea Room and Agnes was a great experience; if you chose them to cater your wedding, you will definitely be in great hands!
