The Heritage Barn
About
Ideal for couples who wish to wed in a rural setting, The Heritage Barn, LLC is a rustic wedding venue located in Oliveburg, Pennsylvania which is near Punxsutawney, home of the famous groundhog. The name was inspired by the fact that the farm has been in the family for several generations.
Facilities and Capacity
The 1882 inscription on one of the foundation stones attests to the year this gem was masterfully built with its hand-hewn beams and posts. Now fully restored the barn is still the crown jewel amid the grassy fields. From the indoor plumbing, with stalls built from reclaimed tongue and groove of the former granary to the custom-designed bar also built with salvaged barn boards, no detail has been overlooked. The hay loft has been re-fashioned to allow birdseye view seating or can be a great perch for the DJ. Rustic chandeliers, twinkle lights, and numerous antiques, original to the farm, are tastefully displayed throughout. All the decor has been carefully planned so that you can easily coordinate your decorating to enhance the beauty that is already there.
The seating capacity allows for 200 guests. Both the covered deck and back porch provide outdoor seating and the barn itself is well-ventilated for everyone's maximum comfort. As a bonus, there is an extra patio seating area for guests to relax as they converse and wait for a chance to play some cornhole. A pergola with swings, a fire pit, and a s'more bar round out the amenities everyone can enjoy.
If you choose to marry on the premises, there is a wedding suite and changing shed for getting ready. Two ceremony site options are available. Both have a simplistic arbor that you are free to enhance with florals and greenery. The hilltop site is extra special with its views of the rolling hills and fields and can be accessed with a pleasant ride to the top via a hay wagon.

We have been married 33+ years & have enjoyed hosting numerous gatherings for family & friends over the years. We have three married children of our own and know how much planning and preparation goes into a wedding. We want to serve others as they go through the process of getting ready to tie the knot and make it as stress free as possible. Our barn has been passed down through the family and belonged to Rod's late grandfather. Restoring it and making it into a beautiful venue has been a labor of love. Outside of business, we enjoy the outdoors. Rod is an avid hunter and farmer, and Kim likes to garden and can the fruits of their labors. We also love animals. Over the years we've owned many labrador retrievers and currently we have two mischievous gray cats that go by the names of Harry and Marv. Their namesakes were chosen from one of our favorite movies, "Home Alone." We look forward to sharing our beautiful barn and farm with you and know you'll appreciate the country setting we have to offer for your big day!
