About
On WeddingWire since 2020
Since 2017, Twinbrook Retreat, in Gap, Pennsylvania, has been providing not only a wedding venue for couples but also a place to reconnect. The property is owned by Merv and Candance who love to help you use the space in ways that help make your occasion truly special. This is a place for connection and fostering bonds, an ideal atmosphere for couples as they begin their new life together.
Facilities and Capacity
Twinbrook Retreat features a historic barn that has been refurbished with modern comforts. These renovations began after the property owners consulted their faith, a guiding factor in their running of the space. Surrounding the barn is rolling terrain. In addition, streams gently meander through the property, adding to the tranquility and calm of the grounds. It is this ambiance that is infused throughout the location, helping to support the spiritual nature of the place. The barn itself has enough room for between 80 and 100 people. In settings with only chairs, the location can accommodate up to 200. Outside, there is a landscaped area as well as a patio and gazebo, ideal areas for your loved ones to mingle and enjoy the festivities.
Services Offered
Merv and Candace seek to be a supportive presence to couples that choose Twinbrook Retreat. One of Candace’s roles, along with employees Kathryn King and Roxy Zook, is to help coordinate events at the barn. You can rent the barn for more than your ceremony and reception, as the location is also well suited for anniversaries and wedding showers. You may choose from different packages, booking the inside, the outside, or both. Tables and chairs are also provided, as is access to a parking area for guests. Additional items are available for rent, such as centerpieces and technological equipment.
History
The story of this location goes back for hundreds of years. The barn itself was constructed in the 18th century, giving you a storied setting for your vow exchange and celebrations. The property itself was part of a land grant from William Penn, the founder of the state, to his brother. It was purchased by the current owners in 2015 and became a place for events and retreats in 2017.
