Bluestone Estate is a historic wedding venue located in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. With each wedding customized to taste, this venue is well-suited to making your special day private, romantic, and elegant.
Facilities and Capacity
Bluestone Estate is set within 110 acres of green hills, farmland, and woodland, with a large pond. Thick stone walls, multi-paned windows, working shutters, and a large flagstone patio are hallmarks of the estate. The venue capacity is 260 guests, who can be seated by round tables seating eight each. The recently rebuilt barn, with exposed beams and crystal chandeliers, the relaxing get-ready rooms, and two large courtyards all combine to make this venue a rustic gem.
Each wedding is customized at Bluestone Estate. No inflexible wedding packages, only what suits your style, wishes, and budget. The Barn Grand Hall is reserved exclusively for your use on the day of your event. Access to the event space is available for your setup, rehearsal hour, and all the way through to cleanup. Their experienced staff is on hand to assist you with technical and venue specific issues through your special day, and provide access to their caterers list, floor plans, and seating arrangements.
Bluestone Estate does not prepare food and requires selecting a caterer from their list of preferred off-premise vendors for your wedding catering and alcohol. The caterers on this carefully selected list are skilled at creating successful events at the venue.
Bluestone Estate is also available for corporate events, private events, and fundraisers. They do insist upon a wedding coordinator from their preferred vendor list, for a smooth planning experience for all parties. On-site parking is available for vehicles and Double Tree Resort by Hilton Hotels, Lancaster, offers shuttle service to and from Bluestone Estate for you and your guests who have accommodation at the hotel.
Though overnight accommodation is not currently on offer at Bluestone Estate, there are several nearby hotels to host your stay, such as:
Erin Armstrong and Chad Vinelli realized that Erin’s family homestead would be the perfect setting for their own wedding ceremony and reception in 2007. Theirs was the first wedding in their new home, and they are excited to offer you a wedding experience like theirs in a historic venue destination. The main house was crafted circa 1770 from locally quarried bluestone, hence the name. The original stone barn was built in 1822. To preserve its character, refurbishment and rebuilding of the barn commenced in 2017.
Nestled in the heart of Lancaster County, Bluestone Ranch is a short 15 minutes from Lancaster and the Amtrak station, and 11 minutes from Strasburg. Harrisburg International Airport is approximately one hour away. Both Philadelphia and Baltimore with their attendant airports are a little over one hour and 20 minutes away.

The best setting, the most beautiful venue!
We booked our wedding at Bluestone before the renovations were even close to being done and we DON'T REGRET A THING. I could tell just from the quality of work that had already been put into the property that the finished product would be immaculate and I've never been more right about a gut feeling. Erin and Chad have made the property so beautiful and all of our guests just raved about how gorgeous it all looked! (BONUS, we didn't even have to have many decorations because the property is just so wonderful the way that it is!)Sent on 10/17/2018
The venue isn't just about the appearance, though. I give them a 10/10 for the whole process. Erin was so flexible with us as we stopped in to see updates, requested information, and made our plans. She was willing to help with anything I needed even leading up to the wedding day. I didn't have to worry about a THING on our wedding day because I knew their team was taking care of all the little details. I couldn't be happier with our wedding and I just can't say thank you enough to Erin and Chad for giving us such a beautiful location and smooth celebration!

HAVE YOUR WEDDING AT BLUESTONE! No question about it-- it will be the best decision you make. We got married there just a few weeks ago and it was the most beautiful backdrop for our special day. Everywhere you turn there are beautiful vistas. You feel like you are secluded away in a special green space and your wedding is the only thing going on in the world. The interior is so architecturally appealing and tastefully appointed that it is beautiful without any added decor. The bride's room and the groom's lounge were so comfortable and gave us all we needed to be comfortable all day as we were getting ready. Erin, Chad and their team made everything so easy throughout the process and on the day of. I can't recommend this venue strongly enough! (other vendors used: Petals with Style-Florist, La Bella Sposa- Hair/Makeup, Lindsay Eileen Photography), Tasteful Occasions Catering. Sidenote- we had our room block at the Lancaster Marriott and wouldn't recommend that. Their check-in time is super late (4pm) and doesn't jive with the venue times unless you don't plan to use all the time you pay for at the venue. The hotel isn't accommodating/flexible. Save yourself the stress.Sent on 10/09/2018

This venue is new, however, you wouldn't know it! The ceremony site is beautiful, the barn is top notch. Erin is great, everyone is friendly, professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.
