From start to finish, they were calm, organized, kind, and truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. I used Katie as a day of coordinator for my wedding. She was INCREDIBLE. I only interviewed her for my day of coordinator because I knew no one would be better than her. She was SO on top of things, making sure all of the vendors were coordinated day of. My family and I were able to relax and truly be present on the day because she handled everything flawlessly. We just worked with Katie to plan our wedding at Chihuly in Seattle. From the beginning Katie was professional, knowledgeable, calm and a joy to work with. She was very responsive, made sure we understood answers to any questions we had and has a great network of fantastic vendor referrals. Katie is the best wedding planner we could have ever asked for.

To say the least, I had extremely high expectations for my wedding from the start. I was bright eyed and full of ideas! After my husband and I got engaged, my mom and I couldn’t wait to start planning. For some outlandish reason beyond our beings, we thought we could do it on our own and that it would be “fun” to plan a wedding together. We quickly learned that it was neither easy nor fun and that we needed HELP. Like a fairy godmother, Katie swept in to save our sanity. Katie’s calm and professional presence turned our wedding planning experience into one that was as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. She placed importance on every planning milestone, whether it was checking in on my hair trial or attending a vendor meeting. She also stepped in when vendors and venues needed additional guidance. For example, on January 2nd at 9:00pm, I received an email from our reception venue stating that we would not be able to get ready or even set up until 6:00pm on our wedding night because she double booked us with their annual women’s golf tournament. The event coordinator, who will remain nameless, tried to butter the situation by offering three free hors d’oeuvres and a champagne toast. Excuse my language but the sh*t hit the fan. In the midst of a storm, Katie managed to strategize and communicate with our reception venue to provide us with our venue space that was indeed ours. Katie quite literally saved the day. Fast forward to day of. Katie made the day flawless. If there was a fire to put out, we were not aware of it because she took care of it. Everything was perfect.

My advice to future brides: Get a wedding planner. Get Katie Slayton.

My wife Kaitlin and I hired Katie to do a partial wedding panning and also do day of event coordinating for our wedding. Working with Katie was an absolute joy! She was always quick to answer our questions, meet up, help us figure out the next steps toward planning our dream wedding, keep us on track for making sure thing were booked, and most importantly, helping us select all of our vendors for the wedding. We went with all the suggestions Katie had for us, from photography, floral, to DJ services and everyone was great. She helped us review the contracts and set up meetings leading up to the wedding. It made the whole process easy.

The day of event coordinating was a true Godsend on the day of the wedding! I had no idea how crazy and hectic a wedding could be until I was living it, and without Katie helping move everything forward, I swear I would have forgot to cut the cake! She was there super early to ensure the vendors were all set up and ready to go, she was always making sure that the next phase of the event was prepped and ready, and worked really hard to ensure that Kaitlin and I felt relaxed, special. She made the whole thing feel effortless. That in and of itself was everything. I knew that I could focus on the magic of the day and not have to worry about anything because it was going to go off without a hitch.

Finally, Katie was just so sweet to meet with and fun to hang out with. We still keep in touch and chat and from day one, it felt like we were working with an old friend. I could not recommend Sprinkled in Seattle more. Hiring Katie was the best decision we could have made.

Throughout the process of our 10 month engagement, I kept joking with (my now) husband, friends and family that the happiest moment of my wedding would be the day I wouldn't have to plan another dang thing for it. I woke up the next day and thought to myself -- oh my god -- now I don't have an excuse to talk to Katie (I'll find some excuse eventually, trust me)! When I had booked my venue they informed me that I needed to have a coordinator or pay them more for the service in house, so I decided to meet a few planners. I'm not quite sure if Katie and I hit it off the exact second we met, but she GOT me immediately, which was more important than I realized.

Although we had only hired her for "day of" coordination, she was still open for questions throughout the entire process: photographer recommendations? She gave me a list of photographers -- her top recommendation was a guy that made my shy quiet husband laugh til he cried -- a rare feat for a stranger. When I was juggling my masters program and ALL the other things on my plate, I asked her about timelines so I could finally commit to a schedule... Logistics are hard when event planning is not your thing!

We had the ceremony in a park, reception on the other side of downtown from the ceremony, shrugging when she asks "how are you getting to the ceremony?", me constantly joking about how I didn't care about anything, donuts instead of cake, not hiring a DJ and making a playlist that our friends and family hijacked after 5 songs.... She never once judged the above but listened, asked questions, suggested, and problem solved away. Any "issue" was resolved immediately and god help me, the day was SO worth the torture of planning, thanks to her.

Where do I begin... My husband and I couldn't have dreamed of a better wedding planner. Katie was recommended to us by a family friend who is also in the wedding planning industry. When we got together with Katie, we had the majority of our wedding planned, but in pieces. Katie helped to bring the puzzle pieces together into a cohesive timeline, and suggested (notice I say suggested... not the pushy type at all, but listens and executes on what you want!!) finishing touches to make it our perfect day. After that, we were able to turn our brains off from wedding planning to focus on ourselves, relaxing, and enjoying the company of our family as they rolled into town. Katie took the reigns, and made sure that all of our vendors were set to arrive on our special day. Day of, I didn't have to think about anything except getting ready and enjoying the company of my mother and bridesmaids, and getting married of course! Not only is she good at what she does, but her personality is the icing on the cake. When we weren't sure about something in our plans, she gave us her honest opinion.... her sense of humor and laid back personality was a breath of fresh air... She also went above and beyond by bringing some of her own wedding decor that she thought we might have been missing such as bride and groom cake serving plates. The perfect wedding planner. Beautiful personality. Goes Above and Beyond.
