I have to admit, that at first I did have sticker shock when Sossy told me how much it would cost to alter my wedding dress. I had bought my dress on clearance at Alfred Angelo and the $600 price was $150 over what I had paid for the dress (which included the veil). I didn't have much time to get it altered (she did it in about 2 weeks) or shop around for another alteration place, so I agreed to it. I now understand that she is worth the price! I thought that I only needed to hem the dress, but she took it in places that I never thought needed it and made the dress look even better then before! She did magic on the bustling, making it look like a totally different dress up then down (5 bustles!), and was a true artist in imagining how it could fit and bustle. I ended up wearing my wedding dress twice once for the ceremony (which was outdoors and raining!) and then again for a reception in Los Angeles. The dress totally held up for both events and is even wearable again. The bustle never came close to coming out.
