Our experience with the Sheraton Sand Key Resort was great! I appreciated how they charge per guest's age, not just one flat fee for all ages. Alexa was so responsive and helpful from the beginning of the booking process until the end of the reception! She was there everystep of the way and even drove me, my dad and brother around on the beach as we waited to walk down the aisle! We did not want to get married on the beach but they have a great grass area by the pool that met our needs. If you want better than normal wedding food, then this is the place for you! All of our wedding guests have mentioned how amazing the food was. We had appetizers (lamb pops were a huge hit) during cocktail hour and the chef's buffet. The chef was extremely accommodating to our requests too. Alexa also drove us and our photographer and videographer down to the beach to get some amazing pictures at sunset! Added bonus with our wedding package we received a wedding coordinator (Blue Skies Weddings & Events) the month before he wedding. I didnt realize how important this was for us, but having Chris help us finalize and coordinate everything was a God send! This resort really knows how to pull off a great event!

We decided out of quite a few venues to have our wedding at the Sheraton Sand Key, and we couldn’t be happier!! We worked with Alexa for around a year and she was absolutely amazing! There were many times where we were able to stay calm among all the chaos of planning our wedding as Alexa was very calm and able to get everything answered and situated for us. The Sheraton was the most amazing “on-the-beach” experience we found around, and we were about 50 feet from the oceanfront and was beautiful! Every few days we have wedding guests tell us it was the most beautiful wedding they had attended and we (of course!) agree with them!

We picked the Sheraton Sand Key because it was where we met and where we got engaged, so it made sense to get married there. However, I am so glad we made that choice. Everything was phenomenal! The catering manager (Darrah) was responsive, patient, helpful and honest about things, like what has and hasnt worked in the past. The staff during the actual reception was great as well and a lot of my guest raved about the reception. The location, the beach, was beautiful and exactly as we had hoped it would be. Oh and the food, it was wonderful! My dad was skeptical since it had to be a buffet on the beach, but they proved him wrong, it was delicious. If you are looking for a beach wedding in the Tampa/Clearwater area, I definitely recommend the Sheraton Sand key because of the beach, the staff, and the food are amazing!
