I recommend Night Kitchen for any couple getting married! They were incredible from the tasting, through the wedding planning, and the execution on the big day. The number one compliment we received on the day (and have received since) is how amazing the food was.

Along with amazing food, the staff is so kind and professional. Angela, who leads the events team, was incredible throughout the planning process and perfectly executed our vision for the dinner set up. We also threw her for a loop (adding a person 2min before dinner started) and she accommodated the issue without missing a beat.

Overall, 10/10 experience and would absolutely work with them again!

Several guests at our wedding told us that the food at our reception was the best wedding food they had ever had. While delighted, we were not surprised. We were blown away by Night Kitchen with every interaction, starting with the customized menus based on our tastes (Mini pastrami reubens, as passed hors d'oeuvres? Hello!). Our tasting was the highlight of our wedding planning process. Leading up to the big day, communication was prompt and clear, the service was highly professional, and the food was truly amazing.

During our wedding reception, one of our guests became seriously ill (they did not take their medication that day). The team at Night Kitchen acted swiftly and professionally, securing medical attention and escorting the guest with a wheelchair with assurance and professionalism, without drawing attention to the incident.

When we started planning our wedding we knew that having incredible food was the most important thing to us. When we booked our venue, Brooklyn Grange Navy Yard, and reviewed the list of preferred caterers, we knew that Night Kitchen was the one for us. We booked Night Kitchen for both food and coordination for our wedding based on the strength of the reviews and the sample menus on their website, and it was without a doubt the best possible decision we could have made! From our very first email interactions with Aurora, we knew we were in for a treat. The care the NK team took in putting together our proposal blew us away. After filling out a brief survey, they absolutely nailed the sample menu they put together for us, making us extremely excited to work together.

When it was finally time for our tasting, we could not have been more ready and Chef Aaron was too! Before getting to the food, it’s important to highlight how thoughtful the team was in the lead up to the tasting. We brought friends with us to the tasting and one of them could only come if they could bring their baby. Aurora and the team were so accommodating, sharing pictures of the space so they would feel comfortable knowing there was room for the stroller. Additionally, Mike (the groom in our couple) doesn’t drink alcohol, and Chef Aaron took the time to make sure there were fun nonalcoholic drinks available for him during the tasting. These two small things really exemplify the care and kindness with which Chef Aaron and the whole NK staff work.

Back to the food! Our tasting was one of our absolute favorite culinary experiences in our entire time as a couple. The food was amazing, each dish better than the last, and our minds (and those of our friends) were blown away by dish after dish. One friend said it was the best meal she’d ever had in New York, and we agree!! The most difficult part was choosing what we didn’t want to serve, because everything was that good. When we did finally make our choices, and had a few requests for tweaks, the team was quick to provide alternative ideas and ways to make our requests work. When Karin (the bride) requested no fennel to be used, Chef Aaron provided several substitution ideas, and the note for “no fennel” was immediately added to our menu.

On our wedding day, Night Kitchen delivered! Our guests were blown away by the food and our guests are still talking about it weeks later. We talked up the quality of the food to everyone we spoke to and they all agreed that Night Kitchen lived up to the hype! We also appreciated that where possible the NK team used produce from Brooklyn Grange, giving us a farm-to-table, community-based experience that exemplified everything we wanted our wedding to be. We also want to shout out the day-of staff! The catering and bar staff were all kind, attentive, and were always sporting a smile—our guests all commented on how friendly the staff was and how it added to their experiences. Chef Aaron even came out during our last song of the night to share in the revelry with us all.

We would also be remiss not to shout out Angela’s incredible coordination services! We knew we were looking for a coordinator who could help us make sure that every detail came together perfectly and Angela did exactly that. She is meticulous in the very best way, and went out of her to way ensure that not only were the details related to catering taken care of, but the bigger picture was perfect as well. From our very first call to the day of the wedding, Angela was on top of it, building our day-of schedule, communicating with all of our vendors, and offering helpful insights into best practices that we might have overlooked. For couples considering Brooklyn Grange, Angela is very well acquainted with the space, which made a huge difference as she made recommendations for us (for example, we found our incredible DJ through Angela’s recommendation!) and made day-of management go off without a hitch.

We had a fully plant-based wedding, and they went above and beyond to create a delicious, beautifully designed menu that exceeded our expectations. Logistically, the team is flawless. Angela was incredibly responsive, and in constant communication with our planner and venue, so we never really had to worry about anything falling through the cracks.
Chef Aaron personally called us before our tasting to learn about our favorite foods. My husband is Turkish, and my parents are Nigerian and Jamaican—he not only welcomed incorporating dishes from our cultures, he researched and tested recipes he’d never made before. That kind of openness, creativity, and care is so rare, and we were so grateful for it.
Our tasting was unforgettable—held in their Brooklyn kitchen, like a chef’s table experience. It was interactive, intimate, and full of little personalized touches from our conversations—things we’d mentioned offhand that they remembered and implemented. Chef Aaron and his team served everything exactly how it would be presented on our wedding day. And the food? Truly next-level. This was one of the most important aspects of the wedding for us, and they exceeded every expectation. Guests are still raving about it, including my mom who is famously picky.
One of the most thoughtful moments: they left a tray of every hors d'oeuvre and both specialty cocktails in our wedding suite so we wouldn't miss anything while greeting guests. It was such a kind and personal touch—something we didn’t even think to ask for.

Night Kitchen catered our daughter's wedding. The food was AMAZING, the wait staff phenomenal, and Angela - who was our "day of" coordinator was fantastic, she did so much more than help out on the wedding day. We had the best team of vendors for the wedding!

My wife & I got married in May and we just adored the whole Night Kitchen crew. Selecting these hard working, passionate, pros was one of the best decisions we made during the planning process. They all were just an absolute pleasure to work with. Most importantly they were incredibly patient as we made changes on the menus and were rapidly responsive when we needed guidance. The tasting dinner Aaron hosted in their prep kitchen was such a special night my parents still talk about fondly to this day. You can tell this crew loves what they do. Their passion & care is not only reflected in killer food (that our guests still talk about months later), but how they represented themselves the night of. Night Kitchen knocked it out of the park for our wedding at the Brooklyn Grange this past May! From our initial private tasting with Chef Aaron and his team through the event itself, we knew we were in good hands. As has already been noted in other reviews, but is definitely true, we had multiple guests tell us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Each dish tasted and looked incredible!

We also hired Angela as our coordinator alongside Night Kitchen, who was easy to work with and instrumental in making sure everything ran smooth. She was responsive to our requests and ensured that our wedding day went off without a hitch. Hiring the Night Kitchen team was easily one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding, and we would certainly recommend them to anyone else looking for a catering team that will go above and beyond!
