I have nothing but good things to say about Seema as both a person and a makeup artist. As a woman of color and someone who rarely wears makeup, I was really anxious about booking a makeup artist for my wedding. From our first conversation to the bridal trial and then the wedding day, Seema was responsive, warm, transparent, flexible, and detail-oriented. She is a true artist who made everyone (bridesmaids, my mom, and my mother-in-law) look beautiful while highlighting each person's unique features. Seema has a calming presence and went above and beyond (even helping us to get dressed in our Indian outfits and providing me with a touch-up kit for later). She cares deeply about her clients and takes time to understand your unique skin type and desired look. For example, I tend to sweat a lot and was concerned about my makeup running and/or looking shiny. We couldn't be happier with our experience at Locks and Lashes for our wedding! From the very start, their pre-wedding service was incredibly helpful and responsive, making the planning process a breeze. On our wedding day, they were efficient, adaptable, and truly engaging, which helped create a relaxed atmosphere for all of us. The ladies we had were great they showed up on time and were lovely to talk to while we got ready. They asked all my bridesmaids and myself if there were pictures that they can go off of and they did a great job especially since we did not do a trial

Absolutely wonderful! Holly’s team did hair and makeup for the bride, the bride's mother and mother-in-law, and 6 bridesmaids. As the bride, I ended up requesting a second trial because I realized my original inspiration and description would overwhelm my simple dress. One of Holly's pros Javela then worked hard to make my new vision a reality during a second trial. The results were flawless. In the lead up to our wedding, Javela listened to everything I said about my vision and then used her skill and experience to create perfect wedding day looks! Proof was in our wedding and reception photos which all turned out amazing. Holly's entire team was wonderful and we all could not have looked lovelier throughout the day and into the night. Holly and her team are highly recommended.

Wonderful experience, Gohar was very professional and I felt so beautiful on my wedding day! I don't typically wear makeup so I wanted a natural look and Gohar far exceeded expectations. She was so lovely to our Jr Bridesmaid and Flower Girl in making them feel included. Highly recommend!

Hadley did a great job on mine and my bridesmaids hair! Hadley listened to what I liked and took the feedback I gave her from my hair trial/consultation into consideration. She was professional, kind, and on time the day of my wedding. I requested that she wash and dry my hair prior to styling it so that it was as clean and fresh as possible. Hadley accommodated my request and made it happen. She did a great job!

April (hair) and McKinley (make up) did a fabulous job at my daughter's wedding last weekend! Ave. 42 was helpful, professional, and communicative from the beginning of our planning. We did a trial with April and McKinley about three months before the wedding and were very happy with the results, but the services on the actual wedding day were even more spectacular. Both April and McKinley strike the perfect balance between fun and professional. They interacted with us, asked questions, and shared their thoughts and opinions about our requests in a way that was helpful and guided us in making our decisions. The entire hair and makeup process the day of the wedding flowed perfectly, started and ended when planned, and April and McKinley made us feel pampered and beautiful. None of us wanted "glam" hair or makeup - April and McKinley delivered the classic, clean style we'd requested - we're all different ages, different complexions, different hair lengths, but ALL of our make up and hair turned out AMAZING. Kudos to Ave. 42, April, and McKinley - thanks for making us beautiful on our special day!

Morgan from Morgie Makes It Up made me feel so special and surprisingly relaxed on my wedding day. She’s warm, fun, and by the end of it all, she truly felt like part of the girl gang.
