We can’t say enough wonderful things about Alan and his band! We booked them before we had all of our details planned out for the big day, but they were very understanding and accommodating. Alan was the easiest vendor we worked with throughout our whole planning process (which says a lot bc they were all great). We had one or two songs in particular we wanted for the processional, but weren’t sure what other songs we’d like and honestly didn’t have the time to come up with options on our own. We told Alan the vibe we were after and he picked out music accordingly — and he absolutely nailed it all. From the ceremony musicians to the reception band and mc’ing, this group did an incredible job. So many guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how great all of the music had been. Like we said, can’t say enough great things about this group. Thank you again for making our day even more special.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Alan Retamozo and his team at Live Oak Music for our November 9th wedding at The Greenhouse at Driftwood, and they were incredible from start to finish.

We booked the String Trio with guitar for both the ceremony and cocktail hour, along with the audio add-on and it was 100% worth it. We had previously attended a wedding where we couldn’t hear the vows, so having clear, professional sound (especially on a very windy day) made a huge difference. Every word was heard perfectly.

Alan guided us through the entire music planning process, from selecting songs for the procession and recession to dialing in timing. He even created a custom bridal processional for us—something not already in their portfolio—at no additional cost. That level of care and flexibility meant so much.

He was also incredibly accommodating when we had to change our wedding plans from a larger event to a more intimate partial elopement with about 20 guests. As you can imagine, vendors book up quickly, and his willingness to make our new date work meant everything. We were very stressed during the transition, but he made the entire process feel effortless and gave us complete confidence.

On the day of, everything was executed flawlessly. The timing of each musical moment was perfect, and the live music created such a romantic, intimate atmosphere. Guests loved it from ceremony through cocktail hour. Their portfolio is also incredibly diverse, with unique pieces (a dream if you love LOTR like I do!).

If you’re considering live music for your wedding, this is absolutely one of those “worth it” investments. You will not regret it. My only regret is not booking them for the reception!

We hired the Jazz musicians from Live Oak for our wedding. They were amazing. They played our ceremony and cocktail hour. It was wonderful. The jazz gave it a really happy party vibe. The entrance to the jazz music was exactly what I dreamed it would be. They were wonderful to work with in the planning and really a great choice.

Having the live strings at our wedding ceremony was absolutely lovely. Alan was so responsive and they did such a wonderful job with our custom song arrangement request. They also have such a wide repertoire to choose from! On the day of, they had to move to be in a covered area in case of rain (luckily we didn't have any!) and it didn't affect the quality at all. They were so professional, and the music made the day that much more magical.

I couldn’t recommend this amazing team of artists more! They played for both our wedding ceremony and cocktail hour, and it was just beautiful! Our guests couldn’t stop raving about how wonderful they sounded throughout the whole evening!

We hired Live Oak strings for our ceremony and a jazz trio for cocktail hour, and both ensembles did amazingly. The strings did a great job for the songs we requested for the ceremony and the jazz. Trio was full of fun and creative playing. It was very easy, coordinating all the details prior to the event and on the day of we didn’t have to worry about anything and it all went smoothly. I would highly recommend Live Oak to anyone looking for live music at their event and would definitely use them again.

Live Oak did a beautiful job on the music for our wedding ceremony! We had the trio, and the music was all absolutely perfect. They have a broad repertoire from classical music to very contemporary options. We chose contemporary songs for our ceremony, with each song having personal meaning to my husband or I. The music we chose varied in genre, but Live Oak did a wonderful job of blending it all together beautifully. We highly recommend them!

My husband and I wanted to add a personal touch to our wedding and decided to book a violinist. Live Oaks had tons of songs to choose for our ceremony and Alan was very friendly throughout the coordination process. Our violinist, Camille, was wonderful. So many of our guests came up to us throughout the night to tell us how much they enjoyed listening to her music. Victor and I were very happy with our decision to have Live Oaks be apart of our special day.
