From the moment we first started discussing the plan for our small ceremony and dinner, I knew Mikaela was the best choice. We had very little idea of what we needed music-wise, but Mikaela immediately helped guide us through what the evening should look like and offered advice. She and her husband absolutely delivered beyond our wildest dreams. As a Taylor Swift fan, it was very important to me that as many of her songs were incorporated as possible and she did it in such a thoughtful way that even family members who were not Swifties mentioned how much they loved the arrangements and Mikaela's takes on some of the biggest hits. She and her husband created the most beautiful acoustic atmosphere for our ceremony. When it came time for the processional, they performed “Daylight” building the intensity perfectly to make my entrance feel so much more emotional and beautiful. Many people said it was their favorite moment. It couldn't have been more perfect. Mikaela is not only an incredibly talented musician but also a kind, thoughtful, and professional person to work with. She truly listened to what we wanted and brought so much care and passion to every detail. If you’re considering live music for your wedding, I cannot recommend Mikaela Kahn enough.

If I could give a million stars I would. Mikaela and her sweet husband, plus an incredibly talented pedal steel player, CRUSHED our ceremony. As soon as I heard them start to play while I was hiding away before I walked down the aisle I was crying. You can tell that they absolutely just love what they do and I am forever grateful for how special they made our ceremony. Everyone was coming up to me throughout the night to say just how spectacular they were playing!!! On top of that, Mikaela was an ABSOLUTE GEM to work with. She’s kind, listens, and is just the type of person you know you’d be friends with. I’m so glad I found her and enjoyed every second of working together. Again, HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend. No one better!!!!!!

My wife and I feel so lucky to have had Mikaela and Jordan perform as our wedding musicians. With a keyboard, guitar, and two incredibly beautiful voices, they provided the soundtrack to the best day of our life.

They played for over three hours, starting with our outdoor procession (where the sound quality was perfect), through cocktail hour and dinner. They also performed our first dance, which was a gorgeous and jazzy version of Make You Feel My Love by Adele. During dinner, they surprised everyone with a piano rendition of Buy U a Drank that was such a fun head-turner for the millennials in the room. We got so many compliments from guests who said their live music added a unique and charming energy to the whole event.

Mikaela coordinated directly with our DJ to make sure all the audio worked smoothly, which took a big logistical task off our plate. They are total pros, and it really cannot be overstated how valuable it is to have vendors who make the little things seamless so you can focus on everything else that comes with wedding planning.

Beyond being so talented, Mikaela and Jordan are just the loveliest people. Mikaela met with us months before the wedding to talk through music ideas and gave us the time and space to make thoughtful decisions. That was especially helpful since my wife and I had a serious case of musical decision fatigue. She was patient, kind, and genuinely invested in helping us create the right feel for those meaningful moments.

Hiring Mikaela and Jordan was one of the best decisions we made. If you are thinking about live music for your wedding, do it. You will be so happy you did!

One of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process was to hire Mickaela. She has one of the most beautiful voices we've ever heard and our guests remarked on this as well. She made our ceremony feel absolutely magical and it definitely wouldn't have been the same without her. She is also extremely communicative and a pleasure to work with. We hired Mikaela and her partner Kevin to perform live during our ceremony and DJ our reception. Her performances were SO beautiful - my only regret is that I (as the bride) couldn't be in the room to hear her perform pre-ceremony! She kept the dance floor moving all night, was very attuned to our guests and requests, and was so easy to work with. Mikaela helped to make our wedding day so magical. I will never forget hearing her and the guitarist play as we walked down (and up) the aisle! She was so responsive and helpful throughout the planning process as well. Last minute, my husband’s parents got Covid and were unable to make it- with Mikaela’s help, we were able to dedicate “Follow You Into the Dark” by Death Cab for Cutie to them via FaceTime. Mikaela made our ceremony so freakin magical! I only wish I was a guest at my own wedding to be able to really enjoy her performance for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We are still getting compliments from our guests that our ceremony music is one they will never forget. Do yourselves a favor and book Mikaela! We added on a Cellist but her husband for guitar would be just as amazing :)

Mikaela and her husband were amazing! They played at my ceremony and cocktail hour. Every song they performed was perfect! Mikaela was sooo easy to communicate with starting at the first email I sent her through the entire wedding process! Having Mikaela perform at my wedding added the perfect touch! This was the perfect mix that we were looking for—it was beautiful/soft/emotional for our ceremony, and then it turned to exciting/fun/louder for everyone to dance at the reception. They offered a template for us to fill out to make sure we could have exactly experience we were looking for and they delivered—it was tailored to us and what we envisioned.
They are phenomenal musicians and really understand mood and vibe—very talented and just wonderful to have at our wedding. We couldn’t be happier with their performance and professionalism. They were also flexible with our last minute ideas and requests.
