First off, the food was absolutely delicious! Dawn worked with us on a drop and go dinner for our daughter's pandemic beach wedding. Dawn was easy to work with, and the menu options were varied and interesting. We really appreciated her attention to health and safety protocols with set up, especially with a high risk person in our party.

My fiancé and I got engaged in January of 2019 and had been planning our October 2020 wedding for over a year when COVID 19 hit. We decided in June, with 127 days to go until our wedding date, to change our plans entirely to best accommodate the safety of our guests. Needless to say, I was a bit overwhelmed. You really have to trust in reviews when planning a wedding from 270 miles away with no time to allow for trials or tastings and Dawn’s reviews truly speak to the execution of her end result, we could not have been happier. Every time we had a question throughout the planning process, Dawn was prompt with a reply and always super quick to update our pricing. The menu options were extensive, and it was hard to narrow it down, the options for cocktail hour make me wish I had a larger wedding just so we could have tried more! I loved the chicken salad phyllo cups, and everybody raved about the crab cakes (I don’t eat seafood but even I almost had to try them, they smelled amazing). She even set aside a sampling of hor d’oeuvres for my husband and I so we didn’t miss out during our photos! Our dinner was incredible, we opted for a chicken and a filet mignon option. Every guest that had the steak told me it was the best steak they’d ever had; it could literally be cut with a butter knife. On top of the food being amazing, Dawn’s staff was exceptional. We had one bartender for 40 guests and he would remember everyone’s drink of choice and have it ready for them as they were walking to the bar. We had a couple of special bottles of wine for the bridal party and he was also on top of that. He was also overall just a funny, personable person. The service staff were also excellent, I feel like I hardly ever saw them, but everything was served and cleaned up super promptly. I would hire Dawn’s again for an event without a second thought and we are super appreciative of how helpful her and her team were!

I am writing my review years late, but I was recently reminded of the excellent food Dawn prepared when a friend mentioned how they still think about the food we had on our wedding day. Dawn was amazing to work with, she worked with our budget and ideas! Not only did she make a beautiful coursed meal for my guests, my wedding cake is something I still brag about to this day for her being able to take my idea of a tiramisu cake and turning it into reality.

Dawn was phenomenal. Food was plentiful and absolutely scrumptious. Moist chicken - scallops cooked to perfection - seared tuna - perfect. 5 stars - on time - on a holiday - food was best I've ever had at a wedding. Incredible for 30 people!

Dawn catered our wedding, and the food was outstanding! She was very accommodating and professional. She helped us create a menu for our wedding reception, and worked with our budget. She made sure that the bridal party didn't miss out on the cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres, as she saved a plate of everything just for us (the mini crabcakes were my favorite!!). She also packed up to-go containers just for my groom and I incase we got hungry after the reception. We highly recommend Dawn and her team for your catering needs.

Absolutely the best food ever at a wedding!!!!

Dawn's Kitchen is the absolute best in the area. Highly recommend. Very personable, and she and her staff went above and beyond for our group!

We planned our wedding at the Mark Twain House (5/25/18) from our home in Connecticut. I was very hesitant and found it somewhat nerve-racking to book a caterer without ever having a tasting. I reached out to about 5 different caterers before deciding to go with Dawn. Dawn was extremely fast responding to my emails and she was able to make me feel at ease with booking her for our wedding. I emailed Dawn with MANY questions and she was able to help with not only our food questions, but also some questions we had about the Mark Twain House. She was very flexible (we had a few last minute changes) and accommodating. Dawn’s team showed up and I honestly didn’t even know they were there. Extremely professional team she has. Wedding food in my opinion is never spectacular, but Dawn’s Kitchen was on another level. Everything was delicious and all of our guests commented on the food! The next day we all wished we had more!

We also booked Dawn for our post-wedding breakfast, which she left with us the night of the wedding. The next morning we just needed to heat a few things up. Breakfast was also delicious and everyone was raving about the french toast!

Dawn and her team recently catered our intimate wedding for 25 at our rental home and they were fabulous! Leading up to the event Dawn was easy to work with and patient with all of our last minute changes. They were professional, they took great care of us and our guests, and left everything In our rental home spotless. The food was delicious and we had no complaints. Due to other's recommendations we ordered cinnamon rolls and chocolate croissants for the next morning and we're so glad we did, they were amazing! You will not be disappointed!

Dawn of Dawn's Kitchen was outstanding on every level. She was great to brainstorm with on the menu selections and came up with winning breakfast and dinners for the wedding at The Chesapeake. Given weather conditions we had to change the venue and layout and Dawn was extremely accommodating, flexible and creative so the event experience was not compromised. Not only was her food amazing, Dawn's attention to detail and service was excellent and the kitchen's were spotless after each event. It is clear her passion is making amazing meals and thrives on providing the ultimate epicurean experience.
