About

Southland Catering and Events, a division of Southland Trade Corporation is located in Moyock, NC on Hwy 168 along the main passage to and from North Carolina's Outer Banks.

For over 30 years locals and visitors alike have chosen Southland as a destination of sorts for great Southern "Comfort" Foods, and Family Dining. Our offsite catering division runs in conjunction with our high volume restaurant and covers all of North Eastern NC and Southeastern VA. We have the capability to serve 25-500 guests, with specialty in buffets featuring Eastern NC BBQ, "The Best" Fried Chicken, Fresh Seafood, Sliced Beef and Pork selections, and the best home cooked side choices.

Our staff delivers prompt, courteous service and the attention to detail to requests that you deserve on your special occasion. We offer fully staffed events, cooked onsite in our mobile catering kitchen, as well as drop and go family meals and ready to serve selections prepared for small groups or occasions. We have staff that can assist with small event planning and coordination in regards to foodservice and tabletop presentation and decor. Perfect delivery and set up. Food was 10/10. Hot and delicious!

Professional and prompt. Food was amazing. Three meats and four sides with sweet potato biscuits with ham were perfect. Set up included and beverages. Would definitely order again for the next celebration.

Great Catering Company

Southland Catering was wonderful to work with. I was so pleased that we used them for our wedding. Travis stayed in touch with my parents and was always open to any changes we made. Food was amazing and was perfect for our day.

This was our 2nd time using Southland Catering and a 2nd time that we were NOT disappointed!! This time we used Southland for our daughters backyard wedding and they were great!! Travis drove the trailer with the food prepped and he cooked everything fresh on-site!! Mich was in the house, he set up everything from the cocktail stations to the entree food stations and it all was picture perfect!! These two gentlemen not only provided great food, but they are easy to work with and handled everything like the pro's they are! Would with out a doubt, use them again!!!!

Southlands just catered my wedding on Saturday and we could not have been happier with everything! Travis was fantastic, always quick to respond and out of every vendor we dealt with he was by far the most communicative and best to work with. All of the food was delicious, hot and fresh, every guest commented on how great it was! Travis and his staff arrived promptly and did what they had to flawlessly. I am so happy we chose them for our special day and would recommend them to anyone who asked. And for 100 guest for appetizers, 3 entrees, 2 sides, rolls, hush puppies, iced tea and water al for $2400!?!? We got so much food for th price! Cannot be best and you get to take home th leftovers!

Southland made this so easy for me as mother of the bride.they are great to work with and the service and food was out of this world.(try the fried grit/cheese balls).I have recommended to all of my friends and family .the staff was very professional and knowledgeable. They have price ranges to fit all budgets. Five stars

When Travis and his crew arrived, the bottom fell out (weather wise). Everyone continued to set up and began cooking our food selections as if it were sunny and beautiful out. The food was great and Travis' crew was wonderful and professional. I would definitely use Southland Catering again for future events.

I can't say enough nice things about Southland and their catering coordinator, Travis. Not only was the food amazing, the service leading up to the big day was superb, it couldn't have been better! Travis responded to all emails within a few hours of receiving them, which was beyond the call of duty! He was also very flexible with changes and always made me feel at ease. The prices were very reasonable as well. I would recommend Southland and their catering services to any bride looking for great food and a great experience!

Choosing Southland to cater our wedding was the best decision we could have made.

We worked with Travis on the menu, and probably drove him crazy for 2 months, changing our minds weekly. He was very receptive to any changes, always helping us come up with ideas to accommodate all of our guest. He is very experienced and it shows through his quick responses and knowledge of different diets. They have a large variety of options, you may think of Southland as just a BBQ shop, but they go above and beyond your expectations, and offer a very very classy menu. Their prices are very reasonable, coming in much lower than other local competitors.

To say I was shocked on the day of the wedding would be an understatement. Together, Travis and Mitch blew this event out of the water. The display of the food was so beautiful, we are still receiving compliments. The staff was very professional, and also very "bubbly" which is great at a wedding reception. They navigated through the crowd, pouring glasses of champagne for the toast, and didn't miss a single cup. I am very impressed with the job that they did, I would use them for any catering needs, and I highly recommend them for yours.
