This setting is pronounced "Ka-TOCK-tin", a name derived from the tribal name "Kittocton." The state of Virginia is where American whisky was born, and this tradition is shown in these brick industrial-chic premises, set in a 1920s-era Case Building. The management of this property invites couples that are planning their wedding celebrations to make this the backdrop for a truly special day.
Facilities and Capacity
This unique venue can accommodate groups of up to 50 people for intimate festivities. A couple and their guests can savor the aesthetics of the distillery as well as amazing views of mountains and the local creek flowing past the premises. This venue also has space for parking and wheelchair access.

Catoctin Creek Distillery is available to book for weddings, elopements, engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinners, and more. A couple can hold their ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception all in one venue. The staff offer a variety of services to assist nearlyweds, including catering, bartending, and event rentals. These professionals can also arrange private behind-the-scenes tours of the distillery, private bottling workshops, and musical entertainment for the festivities. The peak season for this venue stretches across the months of April through September, providing couples with many options for their special celebration.
Cuisine
The Catoctin Creek Distillery offers sit-down dinners, with three to five courses, along with cocktails paired with the wedding menu. Couples may also order hors d'oeuvres, buffets, and family-style platters. Additionally, the team can host cash or open bar service with house spirits and signature drinks.

Scott graduated with honors and two degrees from Georgia Tech. He spent the last twenty years building a software career in telecommunication systems and government IT solutions and traded it all in for the chance to own and run his own distillery. As he likes to say, "Twenty years of government contracting taught me a great love of whisky!"
In, 2011, Scott was named Entrepreneur of the Year by the Loudoun Chamber of Commerce, and in both 2012 and 2020, Catoctin Creek Distillery was awarded Small Business of the Year.
Scott currently sits on the Craft Distiller Advisory Board for DISCUS, and is an emeritus member of the board of directors for the Virginia Distillers Association. He was also appointed to the Virginia Spirits Board by the governor of Virginia, overseeing the marketing of Virginia spirits. Scott has been a tireless advocate for craft spirits both in the Commonwealth of Virginia, nationally and internationally.
In his free time, Scott likes to look at birds.
