The Polished Foxx

We hired Erik and his team at the Polished Foxx for our October 2022 wedding in Winchester. He absolutely made our wedding everything we imagined.

Food:
Our experience started with a tasting at his location in Leesburg. We were welcomed with a large cheese and charcuterie plate, followed by multiple tastings of appetizers, main course items, and dessert. He made real-time tweaks to the menu to accommodate exactly what we wanted for the wedding. On our wedding day, everything his team served was absolutely delicious, still hot, cooked well, and seasoned perfectly. We're still getting compliments from our guests two months later.

Service:
Erik's team was professional, on-time, and polite. One of his bartenders was exceptionally fun to the point where guests mentioned him after the wedding. Wine glasses were never empty and food was served promptly.

Overall experience:
Erik went beyond the usual caterer scope of work to ensure our day ran smoothly. He ordered special table chargers for us and found new tablecloths when our coordinator had given him the wrong table measurements. He helped keep things moving according to schedule, ensuring we hit our desired milestones, like the cake cutting. Most importantly, he is calm and collected and an extremely talented chef. He's was a pleasure to have on-site at our wedding.

We would 100%, without hesitation, choose the Polished Foxx to cater an event in the future. Thanks, Erik.

We hired Erik to cater our wedding—- we had several people to choose from, but his enthusiasm, sourcing, knowledge and sheer variety and flexibility of options won us over.

He worked with us to refine a menu, and did a great job of guiding us through to a very cohesive night. We had a variety of challenges (several vegetarians and 2 people with legitimate gluten tolerance problems). Erik was never phased and made it work.

On the day of our event, he set up, offered to help in other ways and was incredibly responsive and professional. An entire bus load of wedding guests arrived late (it broke down!), but he handled the food aspects as if nothing had happened.

Throughout the night, our guests raved about the food, and without prompting he shuffled through service (we had a fairly informal event).

I can’t recommend the Polished Foxx enough. Simply amazing in all aspects.

Erik Foxx is a master!! I would highly recommend The Polished Foxx to anyone who loves food and wants their wedding to be memorable. Erik isn't a caterer, he is a chef who creates a food experience by selecting locally sourced ingredients and combining flavors that all work beautifully together. From the moment I took the first bite at the tasting, I knew we'd made the right choice! The team worked tirelessly to create a beautiful evening for us. They were attentive but non-intrusive; they kept everything flowing to accommodate our pace and schedule. A truly wonderful experience - thank you to Erik and the whole Polished Foxx team!!
