Caboose Farm was the first venue that I toured with my now-husband. It was secluded, quiet, absolutely stunning, and very close to Frederick and Thurmont. When we walked into the Event Barn and saw the cocktail hour space, we totally fell in love. Colby greeted us and he was so attentive and answered any and all of our questions. We drove the property and it felt like I fell more and more in love with everything I saw! We cancelled all our other venue tours and decided we would sign a contract that same night.
Colby answered every email, text message, and phone call that came his way. It always felt like he truly CARED about us and making sure we had the wedding we wanted. There were some minor issues in the beginning that Colby and the property owner handled very professionally and QUICKLY.
Rehearsal evening was held on the property and it was a torrential downpour. Colby walked around with an umbrella and helped us carry boxes of décor, etc. into the barn. He even allowed us to use a more spacious and covered space on the property to make sure all our guests were comfortable (and dry). You can tell Colby loves the property and cares about his couples.
Katy, my GIRL, was an absolute life saver on our wedding day. We had some very minor hiccups the day of during set up and Katy went above and beyond to correct them. She answered her phone and started making calls before she was “on duty” for the day and made sure we had exactly what we needed. She navigated family members, helped make sure set-up went accordingly, and kept us on schedule. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make sure Paul and I had “our day”.
Taylor, you were everyone’s favorite person that evening! Thank you for keeping all our guests happy and making sure no one was ever thirsty.
Our guests absolutely raved about the venue. We were told it was the perfect size and so convenient. Everyone loved the tractor ride to the ceremony site! We highly recommend staying in the houses on the property and making a weekend out of it. The houses are meticulously kept and it’s so nice walking a few feet to your room when the wedding is over. No worrying about transportation or a hot, long bus ride!

Colby and his team went above and beyond to make our wedding weekend one to remember. Despite cold and rainy weather, everyone was incredibly helpful and professional, ensuring that our guests remained well looked after throughout the weekend. What could have been a stressful weekend turned out to be a relaxing and well-executed one that we'll never forget. Colby's connections with area vendors were also incredibly helpful to ensure our event ran smoothly and that everyone we worked with coordinated well. Despite not having a formal events coordinator for our wedding, Colby did more than we could have asked for and made our special day extra enjoyable. We were extremely pleased with the service we received and would recommend Caboose Farm to family and friends in the Frederick County area.

We had our dream wedding at this venue. We were searching for a venue that could help compensate having 80 people stay on site for a full weekend event, and Caboose Farm fell right into our laps. All of our guests stayed in the 7 houses on-site which was so special to us because it gave us ample time to talk with everyone. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was biking from house to house with my fiance on the morning of our wedding, and getting to spend time with everyone. Aside from that, the ceremony locations are beautiful. We had ours right in front of a flowing stream, and it truly felt like a fairytale wedding. The venue staff were extremely helpful and professional as well. We wound up running a bar-style trivia on Friday night and they set up a bartender for us. They provided a day-of coordinator and she was excellent in making sure everything ran flawlessly. The event center itself was also a huge highlight, and lots of our guests had a great time in the top floor game room, playing ping pong and other various games. The staff also set up a firepit for us the night of our wedding, which provided the perfect place to escape from the dance floor and relax over some smores. I could go on and on about this venue, but it truly was the perfect wedding weekend. I cannot recommend this place more.

We really wanted a whole weekend where everyone could stay on-site with us, and Caboose Farm was perfect! Colby and his team were responsive and helpful, and helped us craft a customized perfect experience. We had multiple meals in the bar area, kickball and yoga and puzzling, a beautiful cocktail hour on the pond, a stunning sunset ceremony under the big tree, and a night of dancing in the main barn.

We just had our wedding here on 9/27 and could not have asked for a better venue and experience. Us, our families, and our friends occupied all the houses, and it was the perfect space to create memories that will last a lifetime. Colby was amazing to work with. He made sure all our needs were taken care, communicated with all our vendors to make sure we didn't have to deal with anything, and even prepared things that we didn't even think of. He was calm, cool, and collected throughout the whole experience, and always was in communication with us to ensure the day went as we envisioned. The weather was iffy that day, and I expressed I really wanted the wedding outside, and he made it all happen with no complaints. We truly couldn't imagine having that weekend anywhere else and feel like we were treated like family. Highly recommend having any event here!

We had our wedding at Caboose Farm on October 25, 2025, and it was truly the most perfect day. One of the biggest reasons we chose this venue was the layout and how relaxed and easy everything felt from the start. We rented five of the houses on the property for the weekend, which allowed our families to stay together in big groups. It made the entire experience feel like a getaway, and having our house right next door to the event space was incredibly convenient. We rented the property for Friday and Saturday, held our rehearsal on Friday, and our wedding on Saturday. We had access to the event barn both days without any issues, which made setting up and settling in stress free. Our ceremony was in the woods, and it felt like something out of a dream. The foliage was beautiful and made for amazing pictures. Guests could walk or take the tractor wagon to the ceremony spot, which everyone loved. We added blankets to the wagon, and guests brought their drinks for a fun ride out. They also recently added a field of wildflowers on the property, and some of my favorite photos were taken there. A golf cart was available to help two of our guests who needed extra support get to and from the ceremony site comfortably. Cocktail hour was outside on the terrace that is connected to the event barn. The hanging lights made it feel romantic and cozy, and guests could step inside if they got chilly. The bar area and theatre room were right inside through a double door, and the theatre room was perfect for playing a slideshow of us. We were also able to have our dogs with us both days, which meant so much. Colby, the property manager, was incredible from start to finish. He made sure we were taken care of and that everything ran smoothly. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole weekend feel effortless. Any time a small question or worry came up, Colby stepped in and handled it. I remember talking through whether our caterer needed to pre cut fruit for our specialty cocktails, and he immediately said their bartender could take care of it the night before. He also kept an eye on the weather and checked in with me about moving our rehearsal dinner indoors if needed. Little things like that helped me get through the weekend with so much less stress. The venue provided the ceremony arch, coolers for pre ceremony drinks, all the tables, chairs, linens, and napkins. We had 113 guests, and the indoor reception space fit everyone perfectly without feeling tight or crowded. Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception flowed beautifully. Caboose Farm gave us a wedding weekend we will never forget, and I truly cannot recommend it highly enough.

Such an amazing venue! We stayed there the entire weekend, and could have family/friends rent out houses on property to stay as well! Absolutely beautiful! Loved both the indoor lodge look of the venue barn as well as the outdoor fields and woods! Couldn't have asked for a better location! We were originally going with a venue in PA, but once we toured this venue, we couldn't pass it up!

This venue was right in our price point. They offered a lot such as linen's and tables. We were able to fit everyone. I think everyone had a fun time and our day was so special
