Caboose Farm was the first venue that I toured with my now-husband. It was secluded, quiet, absolutely stunning, and very close to Frederick and Thurmont. When we walked into the Event Barn and saw the cocktail hour space, we totally fell in love. Colby greeted us and he was so attentive and answered any and all of our questions. We drove the property and it felt like I fell more and more in love with everything I saw! We cancelled all our other venue tours and decided we would sign a contract that same night.
Colby answered every email, text message, and phone call that came his way. It always felt like he truly CARED about us and making sure we had the wedding we wanted. There were some minor issues in the beginning that Colby and the property owner handled very professionally and QUICKLY.
Rehearsal evening was held on the property and it was a torrential downpour. Colby walked around with an umbrella and helped us carry boxes of décor, etc. into the barn. He even allowed us to use a more spacious and covered space on the property to make sure all our guests were comfortable (and dry). You can tell Colby loves the property and cares about his couples.
Katy, my GIRL, was an absolute life saver on our wedding day. We had some very minor hiccups the day of during set up and Katy went above and beyond to correct them. She answered her phone and started making calls before she was “on duty” for the day and made sure we had exactly what we needed. She navigated family members, helped make sure set-up went accordingly, and kept us on schedule. I can’t thank you enough for everything you did to make sure Paul and I had “our day”.
Taylor, you were everyone’s favorite person that evening! Thank you for keeping all our guests happy and making sure no one was ever thirsty.
Our guests absolutely raved about the venue. We were told it was the perfect size and so convenient. Everyone loved the tractor ride to the ceremony site! We highly recommend staying in the houses on the property and making a weekend out of it. The houses are meticulously kept and it’s so nice walking a few feet to your room when the wedding is over. No worrying about transportation or a hot, long bus ride!
Thank you to all the staff at Caboose Farm that made our wedding dreams come true. We love the place and can’t recommend it enough to couples looking for the perfect place to get married.

My husband and I got married at Caboose Farm the weekend of June 6th, and I truly wouldn’t change a thing! From the venue itself to the incredible team, we felt so well taken care of throughout the entire experience.
One of our favorite things about Caboose Farm was being able to have so many of our loved ones stay right on the property with us. About half of our guest list was able to stay on-site, which made the entire weekend feel even more special and gave us so much more time together than we would have had at a traditional venue.
The property itself is absolutely gorgeous. There are so many beautiful ceremony locations to choose from, and even the spots we didn’t use for our ceremony ended up being some of our favorite places for photos. Everywhere you turn, there is another beautiful backdrop.
We planned the wedding ourselves, and Colby was there for us every step of the way. He was always available by email or phone whenever we had a question and made the entire process so much easier. Caboose Farm also included so many things that other venues we looked at didn’t even offer, including tables, chairs, linens, and bar staff. They even have a great relationship with a local liquor store that allowed us to return the alcohol we didn’t use, which was such a helpful bonus.
Our wedding day was everything we hoped it would be and more, but more than that, we got to have an entire weekend surrounded by the people we love in such a beautiful place. We couldn’t have done it without Colby and the Caboose Farm team, and we will always be so grateful that we chose Caboose for such an important weekend in our lives!

Yes! Amazing!
I cannot put into words how much we recommend Caboose Farm. Our wedding day was absolutely perfect, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience.
From the very beginning, Colby and the entire Caboose Farm team made us feel like we were part of the family. We stayed on the property for the weekend, along with some of our family, and it made the whole experience even more special. On Friday, Katie led our rehearsal and made sure everything was organized and ready to go. We had our rehearsal dinner in the event barn, which gave us time to relax and get comfortable in the venue before our big day. It was absolutely perfect.
Saturday, our wedding day, felt like a dream. Colby made sure everything was completely hands-off for us and our families so we could truly enjoy every moment without worrying about a thing.
We cannot thank Caboose Farm enough for everything they did. Yes, the venue is absolutely stunning, but it’s the people behind it who make it so special. Their kindness, professionalism, and genuine care made all the difference.
Caboose Farm will always hold a special place in our hearts, and we truly believe it will in yours too. 1000/10 recommend them as your wedding venue! ❤️ -

Best Venue, Best Weekend, Best Decision
Caboose Farm!!! We saw a few pictures online and fell in love. It had everything we wanted, houses on-site for us to host family and friends, beautiful open venue to walk around and so may places to host the ceremony. We saw two other venues before visiting Caboose and we made our decision before even leaving the property. Colby was so helpful, answered all our questions, was patient and very flexible. He gave amazing recommendations for catering and a tent and truly pulled through. It's crazy how much he does every weekend.
Our wedding weekend was the most perfect weekend and we wish we could relive it again and again and that has so much to do with this perfect venue. The massive tree was the best spot, such beautiful places to take our couple photos, reception area was so great; literally no negative notes. My family was so happy they all got to pile into one house together. Similarly our friends loved being able to bounce around from house to house and no one had to drive. We're so glad we chose this venue for our wedding. 11/10 would recommend and 12/10 would do it again if we could.

Nick Sent on 04/27/2026The Perfect Venue for a Fairy Tale Wedding
We had our dream wedding at this venue. We were searching for a venue that could help compensate having 80 people stay on site for a full weekend event, and Caboose Farm fell right into our laps. All of our guests stayed in the 7 houses on-site which was so special to us because it gave us ample time to talk with everyone. One of my favorite parts of the weekend was biking from house to house with my fiance on the morning of our wedding, and getting to spend time with everyone. Aside from that, the ceremony locations are beautiful. We had ours right in front of a flowing stream, and it truly felt like a fairytale wedding. The venue staff were extremely helpful and professional as well. We wound up running a bar-style trivia on Friday night and they set up a bartender for us. They provided a day-of coordinator and she was excellent in making sure everything ran flawlessly. The event center itself was also a huge highlight, and lots of our guests had a great time in the top floor game room, playing ping pong and other various games. The staff also set up a firepit for us the night of our wedding, which provided the perfect place to escape from the dance floor and relax over some smores. I could go on and on about this venue, but it truly was the perfect wedding weekend. I cannot recommend this place more. -

We really wanted a whole weekend where everyone could stay on-site with us, and Caboose Farm was perfect! Colby and his team were responsive and helpful, and helped us craft a customized perfect experience. We had multiple meals in the bar area, kickball and yoga and puzzling, a beautiful cocktail hour on the pond, a stunning sunset ceremony under the big tree, and a night of dancing in the main barn. -

Wedding Weekend at Caboose Farm
We just had our wedding here on 9/27 and could not have asked for a better venue and experience. Us, our families, and our friends occupied all the houses, and it was the perfect space to create memories that will last a lifetime. Colby was amazing to work with. He made sure all our needs were taken care, communicated with all our vendors to make sure we didn't have to deal with anything, and even prepared things that we didn't even think of. He was calm, cool, and collected throughout the whole experience, and always was in communication with us to ensure the day went as we envisioned. The weather was iffy that day, and I expressed I really wanted the wedding outside, and he made it all happen with no complaints. We truly couldn't imagine having that weekend anywhere else and feel like we were treated like family. Highly recommend having any event here! -

Wedding Weekend at Caboose
We had our wedding at Caboose Farm on October 25, 2025, and it was truly the most perfect day. One of the biggest reasons we chose this venue was the layout and how relaxed and easy everything felt from the start. We rented five of the houses on the property for the weekend, which allowed our families to stay together in big groups. It made the entire experience feel like a getaway, and having our house right next door to the event space was incredibly convenient. We rented the property for Friday and Saturday, held our rehearsal on Friday, and our wedding on Saturday. We had access to the event barn both days without any issues, which made setting up and settling in stress free. Our ceremony was in the woods, and it felt like something out of a dream. The foliage was beautiful and made for amazing pictures. Guests could walk or take the tractor wagon to the ceremony spot, which everyone loved. We added blankets to the wagon, and guests brought their drinks for a fun ride out. They also recently added a field of wildflowers on the property, and some of my favorite photos were taken there. A golf cart was available to help two of our guests who needed extra support get to and from the ceremony site comfortably. Cocktail hour was outside on the terrace that is connected to the event barn. The hanging lights made it feel romantic and cozy, and guests could step inside if they got chilly. The bar area and theatre room were right inside through a double door, and the theatre room was perfect for playing a slideshow of us. We were also able to have our dogs with us both days, which meant so much. Colby, the property manager, was incredible from start to finish. He made sure we were taken care of and that everything ran smoothly. The staff were also incredibly kind and helpful, which made the whole weekend feel effortless. Any time a small question or worry came up, Colby stepped in and handled it. I remember talking through whether our caterer needed to pre cut fruit for our specialty cocktails, and he immediately said their bartender could take care of it the night before. He also kept an eye on the weather and checked in with me about moving our rehearsal dinner indoors if needed. Little things like that helped me get through the weekend with so much less stress. The venue provided the ceremony arch, coolers for pre ceremony drinks, all the tables, chairs, linens, and napkins. We had 113 guests, and the indoor reception space fit everyone perfectly without feeling tight or crowded. Everything from the rehearsal dinner to the ceremony to cocktail hour to the reception flowed beautifully. Caboose Farm gave us a wedding weekend we will never forget, and I truly cannot recommend it highly enough. -

Such an amazing venue! We stayed there the entire weekend, and could have family/friends rent out houses on property to stay as well! Absolutely beautiful! Loved both the indoor lodge look of the venue barn as well as the outdoor fields and woods! Couldn't have asked for a better location! We were originally going with a venue in PA, but once we toured this venue, we couldn't pass it up! -

Caboose Farm was a dream! Literally everything I imagined in a venue. I couldn’t ask for a better place. Colby takes care of you, and he makes sure he can do whatever he can to make your dreams come true. It’s in a very quiet area so you don’t have to worry about interruptions. They have so many beautiful areas to have your ceremony and even more to have photographs at. I can’t imagine another better place. I will be screaming it off the roof tops, that Caboose Farm is the best around. -

Caboose Farm is a beautiful magical dream of a venue!
We wanted a wedding venue that allowed some of our guests to stay on site, allowed us to host both the wedding and reception as well as a welcome dinner for all of our guests on Friday. We almost gave up on that dream until we visited Caboose Farm on a cold day in November and knew it would be perfect! Flash forward to September and it was a gorgeous property full of flowers!! Our guests were blown away by the houses, the glade where we decided to have the ceremony, the event barn where we had a BBQ Friday and cocktail hour Saturday, and our tented reception overlooking the amazing property. We worked with Colby and our wedding planners the Otherside Creatives to sort out the many aspects of our wedding weekend and everything was perfect. We had a roaring fire both nights, beautifully crafted cocktails, and a golf cart always at the ready to help some of our unsteady guests.
We cannot recommend Caboose Farm and their team enough! Truly the best weekend of our lives! -

Perfect venue for a wedding weekend!
Caboose Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding! We were searching for a place that everyone attending our wedding could stay, but have nice beds in private bedrooms (no camp bunks for bad backs). We hosted a full weekend at Caboose, and the space was perfect. Everything is so thoughtfully arranged - from the fire pit, to movie theater, to the downstairs reception area, we had a great time using the different spaces throughout the weekend. The decor on the property is also gorgeous, so we had very little we needed to do to make the space feel welcoming! We are already dreaming of excuses to return to Caboose Farm in the future!
A huge thank you to Colby especially - we can’t say enough about how amazing he is to work with. We were planning from across the country, and he was always willing to hop on a video call, tour us around the property, and answer any questions. He also had the most incredible vendor recommendations - trust him when he refers you to someone!!! Even our vendors who didn’t come through referrals mentioned specifically how wonderful he was to work with. We also had a less traditional wedding, and he really got what was important to us - he was more than happy to discuss our ideas and figure out a way to make our zany requests happen. Every planning conversation with Colby left us feeling less stressed and more hyped for our big day.
Finally, despite being in a more rural MD location, Caboose was incredible to work with as a diverse couple. Colby went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, including working with his team to COVID test given our immunocompromised guests and even ordering new gender-neutral signs for the restrooms that he could swap out for the comfort of our trans and nonbinary guests. Highly recommend working with Colby for any LGBTQ+ couples, including nonbinary folks.

We truly couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue than Caboose Farm! We had a multicultural Indian & American wedding, with 4 events across two days and 200 guests. At every stage, Colby went above and beyond to make our dream wedding come true. We spent over 6 months on the venue search alone, considering options anywhere between VA and NJ. We were open to all kinds of venues: hotels, banquet halls, museums, barns, etc. But once we found Caboose Farm, our choice was crystal clear. Caboose Farm encompassed literally everything we wanted in a venue: indoor and outdoor options surrounded by stunning nature, lots of inclusions, on-site lodging for almost 100 guests, accessible location, BYOB alcohol which lowered our costs relative to bar packages, no vendor requirements (but plenty of helpful recommendations) to give us full freedom, etc. Somehow, despite being our DREAM venue, it was also very affordable — we were truly shocked at how much the package included, relative to the bare bones inclusions of other venues. And there ended up being even more inclusions than we realized when we first signed with Caboose Farm — during the planning process, we realized they offered soo many things that we would have otherwise needed to get ourselves. They even offer dozens of color options for tablecloths and napkins, which would normally be an extra cost at other venues!
Colby was always very quick to reply to our many emails and was detail-oriented in the planning process, and he was flexible and generous with their time as we adjusted details closer to the big day. When it rained, his team heroically managed all the necessary day-of changes, from moving 200 chairs to a new location to giving guests rides across the farm. Throughout it all, they were friendly, cheerful, and helpful not just to us but all of our guests, and they did an incredible job of managing a complicated (and chaotic) wedding with multiple events that used almost every part of the property. We unfortunately had significant issues with some of our own (external) vendors, but we were way less stressed about it than we otherwise would’ve been because, quite frankly, we knew Colby wouldn’t let things get out of hand! (Even though that’s beyond his job description!!). It was a life saver to know we had Colby looking out for us and could trust him to go above and beyond in making things run smoothly. And Colby was also the one driving the bride around during the wedding, and let me just say he was the perfect calming force I needed amidst all the chaos :)
Throughout the event, our guests consistently complimented the great job we did in picking our gorgeous venue and the great service the Caboose Farm team provided. They made a great day even better by anticipating and handling problems before they even arose. The on-site accommodations were a huge help, and the wide range of indoor and outdoor event spaces were all beautiful. Many guests also stopped by the waterfall nearby before/after the event. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to get married, or a better team to manage everything. Caboose Farm & Colby are the absolute best!! -

We loved Caboose Farm from our initial tour. From the beginning, we felt that Colby and his team would be able to deliver exactly what we were looking for, and they definitely did not disappoint. We loved being able to rent all the houses on site so 60+ of our guests could stay right at the venue with us. Colby was responsive and accommodating during the planning process which really helped put us at ease. Everything went smoothly on our wedding weekend. My daughter and I first met Colby in February of 2023, a full 21 months before her wedding. We showed up at the farm armed with printouts from the website and a ton of questions after visiting many venues already. Colby made us feel welcome and helped us discuss plans for what my daughter and her fiancée envisioned for the ceremony, the reception, and for our-of-town guests to stay on the property. Colby was patient and answered all our questions, and boy, did we have questions! At no time did we feel rushed or as if we were taking up too much of Colby’s time. While we all loved the venue itself, Colby is ultimately the reason they chose Caboose Farm.
We visited the property numerous times and Colby was always happy to show us around and discuss ideas we had. He shared the contacts he had for equipment rentals and caterers and other services he’s used before with success.
As the wedding approached, Colby had a comprehensive list of questions so my daughter and her fiancée could get their plan solidified and think through the many moving pieces of the day. The days leading up to the wedding, Colby answered questions and gave advice about everything from parking to transporting guests to the ceremony site to organizing the rental houses.
When the wedding weekend finally arrived, we had our rehearsal dinner at the venue on Friday. Colby made sure all the grills were available, and the fire pit was ready for s’mores. He arranged for bartenders and everything we needed for guests to feel welcome. Saturday came, and Colby‘s entire team was at the venue early to start setting up. The wedding itself was amazing, but later in the evening we had a small snafu where we needed to get more food. Colby was quick to think on his feet and made all the arrangements to get pizza delivered to us, saving the day! Having the majority of the guests stay onsite made it an extra special bonding experience for everybody, as they got to spend time together before and after the actual day of the wedding.
Colby’s knowledge of the area, the venue, and how to troubleshoot was invaluable, and we will forever be grateful. Caboose Farm was the most inviting, inclusive, and beautiful venue we could’ve ever imagined. We highly recommend Colby and his team!

We just had our wedding on 6/22/24 at Caboose and wouldn't change a single thing! The property is gorgeous, nature-driven, and gives guests space to enjoy the views the day of! We had about 65 guests stay on-site at the houses and it was such a blast. All of our guests couldn't stop talking about how unique and enjoyable it was! Colby is absolutely amazing...he is great with communication and often has photos to help you visualize what your dream wedding can look like! We had a pizza food truck for our rehearsal dinner and it went so well. While it was very hot, our day was so magical with the help of all the staff at Caboose. The caboose on site housing is a great conversation starter too :) We opted to do the full buyout option for Friday-Sunday and had all houses on-site reserved. Colby + the team were there as much or little as we needed for anything-- setting thermostats, a tub for waters, rearranging cookies to fit in the fridge, and everything in between! The houses on site have towels, linens, a full kitchen and baths, and plenty of bedrooms for your guests to stay in! The houses have history but have been updated and made such a fun airbnb style stay for all of our guests + wedding party to get ready. We ended up having after parties both nights in the houses and it was so so fun to have all our guests right on-site to celebrate through the night. We had our ceremony in The Glade and the cocktail hour/reception in the even barn. Plenty of space for food and dancing for our 79 people and could easily fit the ~110ish people the event barn is meant to accommodate. Honestly our wedding would not have been as perfect if we chose another venue so do yourself a favor and have your wedding here!! We can't wait to return in the future! 5 Star Venue!
I'm the mother of the bride and have worked closely with Colby for over a year. He is professional, respectful, and beyond helpful. Planning a wedding can be very stressful. I was also out of state. Colby and his incredible preferred vendors made it so much easier! Hurricane Helene caused many cancelations and tons of rain, but nothing could have dampened this beautiful day and venue! -

Our wedding at Caboose Farm was everything we could have dreamed of. With friends and family traveling from all over, having the entire property with the charming Airbnbs was such a blessing. It allowed us to be fully present, surrounded by our loved ones throughout the weekend, and created a warm, intimate atmosphere.
The venue itself was stunning and so peaceful. Colby and the rest of the Caboose Farm team, know their stuff and don't skip the details. They even made sure the mowing schedule (of the extremely large property) was aligned with our visit. They were attentive, accommodating, and went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly, making us feel truly cared for on such an important day. -

Colby and Katy are THE BEST to work with; very accommodating, helpful, and best of all - very responsive!!! (Quick replies to emails, and texts in the weeks leading up). We had creative ideas to try and they went with it; truly the day of went off without a hitch (who can say that)? Best part is definitely that everyone can stay on the property - we booked out the entire venue + 7 houses and split the cost by the number of rooms we could occupy which worked out perfectly! 32 rooms we used. It was like adult camp - up in the mountains, but still very easy to access. We did the ceremony at the "top of the hill" which was BEAUTIFUL. We got lucky with the weather (July) but there are backup options in case it's too hot or rainy. We had 111 guests (plus 2 photog, videog, DJ, etc) and did the whole dinner downstairs and it was absolutely fine! We paid extra to buy out for the weekend and had a chilled welcome party on Friday evening with lawn games. Main thing to note is you're responsible for all your own decor - so either plan to pay extra for a florist or a day of coordinator if you have a ton of decor - otherwise check in a day early and put up your own. The venue comes with day of venue coordinator (who communicates with your vendors), but they don't do decorations or cleanup (the caterers clean up). Also, I wouldn't put this much effort into a review if they didn't knock it out of the park, so here we are.
One more note - we got married July 20th; if it was a week ahead of time it would have been a heat wave, but our weekend weather was PERFECT, high of 81 low of 67, no rain.
Sat dinner - Carriage House catering - they were perfect (we paid more for them but they know the venue WELL)

I corresponded about once a month with Colby during my time leading up to the wedding. He always provided me with the information I needed in order to plan my own wedding. On the day before the wedding I met Katy who asked all the important questions to make sure the following day would work out flawlessly. In all my own frenzy I probably answered about 70% of her questions, leaving her to step in and work out the remaining details with limited guidance. Her professionalism and quick thinking for each scenario, even with a less-traditionally organized wedding meant that everyone was able to focus on enjoying themselves. My favorite part about Caboose Farm was there was so much flexibility around how we would organize each portion and overall schedule. This was a big breath of fresh air compared to many other venues with early cut-off times and other strict requirements around 3rd party vendors.
Finally, the on-site accommodation was perfect given the location and all the out of town guests we had. Just make sure to consider which guests you're putting in the house which is a short drive away (compared to the other ones which are all walking distance). -

Caboose Farm was the perfect location for our wedding. This venue is so unique with the ability to rent out all of the homes on the property for the entirety of the weekend. It was a no brainer that this was the perfect location for us since we were having so many people traveling to us for the wedding weekend. We had our ceremony at The Glade location on the property. It was incredibly beautiful even with all the rain we had on our wedding day. Colby and his whole team were amazing to work with, everything was seamless. As the bride my day of experience I didn't have a worry in the world that my wedding planner and Colby could pull it all together. I don't know if all brides get to say that but I had full trust in his team. Colby clearly cares for this venue and the experience for everyone, most importantly the couple but also for all the guests that you have in attendance. I would absolutely recommend this place to any bride looking for a beautiful, enchanted, and relaxing (as much as a wedding can be) location.

My wife and I had our wedding at Caboose Farm this June. We hosted about 70 people on the houses on the property over the weekend and it could not have gone more smoothly. We were in constant communication with Colby over the year or so leading up to the event and he was consistently responsive and thorough. We definitely peppered him with questions often and Colby always responded in a timely manner and anticipated follow-up questions we might have. Working with Colby and his team allowed us to step back from the stress of the wedding weekend and really focus on enjoying the time with friends and family. Our guests loved the accommodations and were impressed with the cleanliness and how close they were to each other and to great hiking.
If you're looking for a venue that is flexible, organized, and allows you to be hands off on your wedding day, we absolutely recommend Caboose Farm. -

Best wedding weekend ever!
We are so grateful to have hosted our wedding weekend at Caboose Farm. We wanted a full weekend “experience” for our guests and everyone loved being able to stay on the property for the whole weekend. Our guests raved about this venue and everyone said this was different than any wedding they had ever been to, in the best way possible. It felt like we were at a summer camp!
This was a casual, laid back venue, with so much natural beauty that we only needed minimal decor. There were so many great options for our ceremony site, and we chose to have a tent for our reception, although not necessary.
Colby deserves his own review—he is the GOAT. Whenever there was a potential worry or problem, he had already solved it by the time we thought of it. He was diligent, organized, helpful, supportive, and honestly just a fun guy to be around. He alleviated so many stressors and ensured that our weekend that we planned without a wedding planner, went smoothly.
We could not have imagined our wedding weekend going any better. We love Caboose! -

Caboose Farms was the perfect fit for our intimate micro wedding. The venue coordinator, Colby, went above and beyond to support my husband and I in our planning. He was always quick to respond to my numerous questions and helped me with everything from our weather contingency plan to our timeline. On the day of, everything went seamlessly and the Caboose Farm team worked so well with my vendors to ensure our guests were comfortable. It was cold and rainy on our Spring wedding day and without question they went ahead and setup a warm coffee bar. It was the little touches like this that really stood out to us and enhanced the experience for everyone. As for our photo experience, the property offers a vast array of photo opportunities as it spans acres of land. It has every scenery you could possibly ask for- woods, meadows, streams, a small lake, and all of the beautiful historic houses on the property. We were able to use the Washington House for our Bridal Suite and it was so cozy and cute. We got married in the indoor space - the Main Event Barn and had our reception in the bar area. It was the perfect size for our 45 guest wedding, though they could easily host upwards of 100s of guests with their outdoor ceremony spots. Overall so happy! -

We absolutely loved our wedding at Caboose Farm! We got married in September of 2023. We had our rehearsal dinner there on Friday and wedding ceremony and reception there on Saturday. I stayed at the Washington house with my bridesmaids and it was the perfect location to get ready for my wedding day. We rented the houses on the property for the weekend for the wedding party and family and friends and they loved it. It was so convenient and nice having so many people on the property. We really felt like we had the entire weekend to spend time with them and celebrate. The houses are all clean and beautiful. The property itself is so well kept and stunning, so many options for wedding photos. We also loved the different ceremony option sites and ways to have your reception. We received numerous compliments about how unique the wedding was and how beautiful Caboose Farms is. Also, Colby was amazing throughout the entire process. Truly, he made it a breeze. He was responsive, and so helpful and kind with answering our questions and requests. He manages the property so well, I never had to worry on my wedding day. Having our wedding at Caboose in October was the best decision! Nestled in the beautiful Catoctin Mountains, it was the perfect setting for a weekend-long celebration. We loved having multiple location options for the ceremony and reception. The site we choose for our ceremony, The Glade, is absolutely breathtaking in the fall. Unfortunately, we had to move our ceremony indoors due to rain, but even the indoor space was beautiful and cozy. The Caboose staff were very flexible in figuring out our last-minute ceremony change. Colby, the venue coordinator, was so responsive and helpful at every step of the way, and was also so patient with my endless questions. He worked so well with all of our vendors, and his wealth of experience in this industry was very evident in all of our interactions. One of the big factors that made us choose this venue is the multiple homes on the property that are available for guests to rent. We knew would have several out-of-town (and even out-of country) family members in attendance, and we wanted to offer them an easy place to stay for the wedding weekend. All of the homes were beautiful, comfortable, well-appointed, and the views were gorgeous! It made it feel like a family reunion. One of the memories I'll treasure from our wedding weekend was the beautiful early morning walk around the backtrails around the property. It was so peaceful and lovely. Would recommend to anyone looking for a wedding where the outdoors are the star of the show! -

10 Year Anniversary Dinner
I reached out to Caboose Farm very last minute trying to throw something together for our 10 year anniversary. We were offered the Rustic Barn with access to the bathrooms in the house beside the barn. Everything was so organized and welcoming and clean. The barn was cleared with a table as we asked. It had a table cloth and flowers and a card. The immediate responses and care reaching out to make sure we felt accommodated were so on point. Then stop looking because you just found it. Caboose Farms is literally amazing. A three story event barn featuring a BEAUTIFUL reception space with spiral (!!) staircase! A gorgeous bar with a movie theater! A third floor game room! And a wrap around porch to check out amazing sunsets in the mountains! Our coordinators, Colby and Nicole, made everything so easy from deciding on a ceremony location (there are 5 to choose from!) to walking us through rain plans to helping us come up with the best way to set up the reception area, they were with us every step of the way! They also gave us solid leads on amazing vendors that are familiar with their gorgeous property to ensure a smooth day! I literally cannot gush about what a great experience we had with them. Be sure to check out their rental houses too! It was so nice to be able to have the whole bridal party stay on site! What a great, great venue! 10/10 recommend! They helped us have the most magical backdrop to the best day ever! -

Scenic perfection
I looked EVERYWHERE for somewhere with gorgeous views and something with accommodations that we needed and I promise, with zero exaggeration, Caboose Farm nailed it. I emailed just to get a little information and Colby instantly emailed me back and stayed in constant communication with me and I had not had that luck with any place thus far. He was extremely patient with my anxiety and questions and went above and beyond for us. We met to look at the venue and I was sold! It’s GORGEOUS! There are beautiful views in every direction and the venue is amazing inside as it is outside. My now husband was sold when he pulled up because the pictures don’t do it justice. And I’m telling you, he was not sold on any venue at all! It’s an amazing venue and I am so happy we found it. Caboose Farm is the BEST! From the moment we stepped foot on the property, we knew this venue was the one. It is so stunning (no matter what season), and so well cared for. There are so many ceremony sites to choose from (we went with the Hilltop Vista - it was perfect!), and the Event Barn is the best, most versatile place to celebrate - we hosted our rehearsal dinner, cocktail party, and reception there, and all our guests loved it! We rented out all 7 houses on the property for the weekend, and it was such a beautiful blessing to have all our closest family and friends so near to us the entire time. The houses are spacious, clean, and so cute, and we loved staying in them. We had the pleasure of working with Colby during the planning process, and he was incredibly responsive, kind, and so easy to work with. We had so many questions over the course of the 12+ months we spent planning, and Colby answered each one of them with understanding and generosity. When we arrived for the weekend, he even helped unload our cars! He's a standup guy and we felt so lucky to work with him. I am so so so glad we chose Caboose Farm to be our wedding venue.
First off, what a special place- we just loved the way it feels there. The property is so quiet, serene, beautiful, and well maintained. AND it is perfect to be able to have a true "wedding weekend" all in one place. From rehearsal dinner, to welcome party, to ceremony, reception, after party, and Sunday send off brunch -- it was perfectly suited to do it all. AND on top of all that, the majority of our guests were able to stay right there on site which just made for more quality time and more convenience.
It's worth noting that we live in San Diego, so we planned this whole wedding from a distance and I think the number one reason that was possible was because we were working with Colby. From the very beginning when we first inquired about the venue, Colby's responsiveness and kindness via e-mail & phone is what helped us seal the deal, blind, from 3000 miles away. And that level of helpfulness continued all the way through the wedding weekend. Colby and his staff experience weddings almost every single weekend all year long- but they still somehow made our big day feel so special and prioritized. Colby was super accommodating and supportive, and was a great help throughout the event and in the hours leading up to it. We had an AMAZING wedding day (really wedding weekend) and I’m CERTAIN having Colby and the rest of the staff is part of what made it so great.
Our wedding ended up being 97 total guests. We very comfortably had 11 tables + a sweetheart table and a great sized dance floor.
The other thing worth noting-- It never ever felt like we were getting nickel and dimed, getting a surprise fee added, or being limited by venue "rules" --which was a huge plus. -

We got married at Caboose Farm on April 15, 2023 and I have been having trouble finding words to accurately convey how absolutely perfect our day was. We planned our wedding in about 6 months and the entire process with Caboose and Colby was FANTASTIC!
Colby was so patient, understanding and accommodating. Seriously, I’m not sure if he said “no” about anything we asked - now maybe we didn’t ask to do anything too crazy, but regardless the sentiment still stands. He was very thorough, providing information throughout the entire process, answering my thousands of Type A, over-preparing questions and assuring me everything was going to work out!
The venue was BEAUTIFUL - in addition to the stunning scenery, part of the reason we chose it was because of how peaceful it is and the privacy. You’re easily able to “disconnect” and just enjoy your wedding weekend without a bunch of hustle and bustle around you.
Colby wasn’t working on our actual wedding day and as much as we would have loved to have him there, Katie and the entire Caboose staff knocked it out of the park! They were all so friendly, helpful and on top of everything especially with prepping for backup plans in case of rain. Things happened seamlessly behind the scenes and we didn’t have to worry about anything. It made our day so much fun and stress-free.
We did have to switch from our outdoor ceremony site to the rustic barn and they let us wait until as late as possible the morning of to make that decision, so I could feel confident knowing it was the right decision. We still ended up with sunshine, and the sky was stunning at sunset making the perfect backdrop for cocktail hour.
We also rented all but one of the houses on the property during the weekend and it was wonderful having all of our wedding party, family and out of town guests on the property to spend more time with us and not have to worry about transportation! The houses were beautiful, comfortable, clean and had all the essentials you could need while there.
Seriously, I cannot say enough good things about their staff, the venue, the houses… if you’re considering CabooseFarm, put it at the top of your list to tour - you won’t be disappointed. -

I cannot stress how absolutely wonderful Caboose Farm and the staff were since we booked the venue to our wedding day. Colby was PHENOMENAL, he was very responsive and worked with us with organizing everything and planning our dream wedding. On the day of he was constantly checking in and making sure I was good, and was so efficient behind the scenes that everything went as planned with no problems at all. Many people say that as long as you marry your spouse on your wedding day, nothing else matters. While that is true to some extent, my husband and I's wedding would not have been as magical as it was without being held at the Caboose Farm. From the early stages of planning to helping make our dream wedding come to life to helping us clean up on Sunday the staff made us feel like we were celeberties. The staff at the Caboose Farm is TOP NOTCH! They are always working to improve the property and the lawns are always mowed to perfection! Katie baked in our clear reception tent all morning Saturday making sure every last detail was perfect as well as tying all 200 napkins (thankfully the cool mountain air cooled it down for our guests)! Colby handled literally everything for us so that we could just relax and enjoy our day. They were calling for rain the entire week and I never stressed over it because I knew Colby had a plan for everything. When it finally started raining just before our reception entrance, he was right there holding the umbrella for us as we walked to the tent. As far as our ceremony went, it was absolutely perfect! We chose "The Glade" as our ceremony location but there are so many to choose from on the property; even some waterfront locations! We had many out of town guests meaning we needed to have housing for them. This was one of the main reasons we went with CF. I'd say that 75% of our guests had the opportunity to stay on the property with us. Which I highly recommend!! It was so fun having a "Wedding Weekend" to enjoy oiur guests instead of on 6 hours. Every house at CF was extremely clean and the beds were so comfortable. Even the pull out sofa sleepers. Having grown up just down the road from the venue, I know how special "the mountain" can feel. The air is simply cleaner and calmer. If your looking for a rustic and romantic wedding venue tucked away in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Caboose Farm is the place for you. You will not be disapointed! -

Caboose farm and the staff was everything we dreamed of for our wedding day. Everything went absolutely perfect (which isn’t always the case). Colby was incredibly easy to communicate and work with. Day of- Nicole was amazing. She was so kind and kept in communication with all staff and vendors to make sure everything went smoothly, even when things (like pictures) got behind. The backdrop that the property provides for pictures is absolutely incredible. I can’t wait to see the rest of our pictures. I would 100% recommend Caboose Farm and the staff to everyone. The Jefferson house was convenient and provided everything we needed for the weekend. -

Our wedding day was perfect! We took a chance with the weather and decided on an outdoor ceremony site and it still turned out amazing. We had a great experience at Caboose farm, the setting all around the farm was beautiful, it made for lots of great photos. We could not have gotten through all of this without Colby Stouffer. He was extremely quick to reply to any messages we sent and gave us peace of mind that we would be taken care of on our big day. The barn itself was set up so nicely withe the bar upstairs and the reception area downstairs. We really enjoyed the games that the venue made available to us and the large fire pit. We loved our experience with Caboose Farms! They were so communicative and answered all of our questions clearly. They housed our 20 guests on site and made sure our day was everything we wanted it to be. The staff was generous with their time and provided services including tours, table arrangements, transportation for the wedding party, and alternatives when the weather didn't cooperate. Amazing. Simply Amazing.
The Caboose Farm team is unmatched. They were always one step ahead of me and are so quick to respond and never hesitant to jump in to help where needed. I was nervous, because I did not hire a wedding coordinator. Turns out, I didn't need one. They made my day stress-free and well organized! Having the houses on the property was perfect, we could enjoy the weekend, easily store everything we brought, set up at our own pace and just relax when everything was said and done. I will forever suggest Caboose Farm to any future bride I come across! -

I wasn't the one who got married here or who reserved the whole venue, but I still thought it was a great venue that was absolutely beautiful with a lot of space! Plenty of accommodations for the guests as well. -

Secluded Wedding for DMV Couples
Location: Caboose Farms is tucked away from the hustle and bustle of DC, adjacent to Cunningham Falls State Park and Catocin State Park, and offers the perfect venue for those looking for a retreat like wedding. For those with family coming in from out of town, this venue is perfect. The farm is about a 75-minute drive from either IAD, BWI, or DCA, and 30-minutes away from either Gettysburg, PA or Frederick, MD. We took advantage of the six houses located at the venue and had over 50 guests stay onsite, though they could accommodate more if needed.
Services: Colby was our coordinator for the venue and was phenomenal to work with leading up to the wedding. He helped answer any questions we had, offered helpful suggestions, and made sure all the logistics were nailed down. During the wedding, he knew when and where to be anytime he was needed.
Food: Monica Kelso (@monicakelsocatering) is the affiliated caterer of choice for this venue. The food was arguably the best of any wedding food we've had at any wedding. We were a bit nervous leading up to the wedding since we weren't able to do a tasting or wine pairing due to Omicron/COVID but the food was absolutely phenomenal. Monica created a template for us to work from and we ended up going with a buffet style BBQ. Guests had the ability to go back for extra helpings and many took advantage of this!

My husband and I fell in love with Caboose back in Dec 2018, it was the first venue we looked at.. it has so much to offer.. multiple scenic ceremony views (mountains, woods, countryish) the Event Barn is gorgeous and needs little to none decor because everything speaks for itself. What drew us even more was the movie theatre and gaming room it offers for children to keep them entertained, it was a hit for our boys! We loved that we could have our family and friends stay on site in the houses that created so many memories. We were suppose to marry April 2020, but then the pandemic occurred. Colby was in contact with us numerous times in finding ways to get us married, he was understanding and sympathetic to us which spoke volume considering how some other venues treated covid brides. We finally had our wedding April 2022. I can't say enough good things about Caboose and it's staff. Colby was PHENOMENAL after all these years, a true kind hearted fun professional. He got so many compliments from my family that weekend and how he organized everything and helped us set up etc. I really can't say enough good things about him. Monica their caterer, works with you and your desired food. You tell her what you want and she can do it or give advice on things you may not think about. Everything was DELICIOUS.. again, many compliments on the food. Everyone had a great time and guests are mentioning how they are going to recommend this venue to others. Even after all the years of waiting, it was well worth it. We plan to one year go back up in one of the rental homes just to stay a weekend in the area for the peaceful atmosphere it provides. If you're looking for a wonderful weekend event to hold your wedding with family and friends, this is it. We love this place
