wedding dress for an mature woman
My sister (56) is getting married. We are trying to find a dress for a mature woman, nothing strapless. Any suggestions?

www.venusbridal.com has a line called "temple brides" that are very pretty and all have some sort of sleeve and modest coverage.

You could always do a simple one shoulder with very little sparkle..there very common with mature brides that still want elegance.

I actually wore a strapless dress for my wedding, which was on my 56th birthday. However, if you do a search for "modest wedding dress," you will find a wide selection of dresses that are not strapless. Also, generally any strapless dress will have a version that has straps or sleeves. Just ask about that when you are shopping for dresses.

Go to stores like Macy's, Lord & Taylor, they often have skirt and blouse type sets that are really flowy and look beautiful for an older bride.

There are plenty of lines for more 'mature' brides. Another option is latterdaybrides.com

Another option is the chain stores have Mother of the Bride dresses- and most are available in white.
