Wedding dress ideas

Jennifer, on March 22, 2024 at 2:41 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 6
Hi all I'm getting married on May 24,2024 it's going to be a small intimate affair with just my fiance's family in their beautifully landscaped backyard. I want to wear something that's both romantic and some what sexy ( without over kill on the sexy as his mom is Catholic and is a part of the church) so a little conservative to. Being small backyard wedding I don't think I want a long train thinking maybe a brush/sweep train? What are your thoughts on that? But I do want long. I would love to see or hear any ideas or if anyone has gotten married in similar situation. Thank you

Bridal gowns often take several months to be made, so your options will be limited on such notice. I recommend Azazie as they have a lot of options and can get you something custom sized in a few weeks. Here are their gowns without trains: https://www.azazie.com/all/wedding-dresses/with/length/floor-length?subsite=bridal

I got married in a Catholic church so my ceremony dress wasn't as sexy as my reception dress, but since you are marrying in the backyard, I don't think you have limits. Your dress is on your body, and your wedding is to your Intended, not his mother. So wear what makes You feel like a bride. In terms of a romantic dress, I think that's personal take, too. Some may feel romance looks like billowing boho sleeves, while others lace, and others flowers (my husband thinks romance is a hint of cleavage 😆). I say express yourself in the dress in which you feel most glorious and yourself. You can layer for 2 looks! For example, you can wear a veil or a cape or sheer coat with sleeves over a sleeveless dress. After your ceremony, you can remove the top layer that might be suitable for an outside May wedding. Best wishes.

Thank you for your input. I was thinking exactly what you you said. I have lost ALOT of weight since I met my fiance. I was married for 6 yrs prior in a very unhappy toxic almost marriage ( he was an alcoholic in denial) I blooned to 208 lbs while with him. Since we divorced in early March I dropped to 180 and kept going lost 30 lbs down to between 152-155. So, I feel more body confident now.

Mermaid, cowl neck. If the groom's taller than you, he'll enjoy the view everyone else misses Smiley xd

    Congratulations, by the way!
