You need to determine the reception and ceremony sites first to confirm they will both be available on the same date. Your date (11/11/11) will probably be a very popular one.

Once you have the reception and ceremony sites reserved, then you can move on to your other major services, especially photography.

Your dress might seem critical to buy soon, but it's not. You should probably have it ordered 6-12 months ahead, but that timeframe is designer and store dependent.

You could also start pulling pictures and colors your attracted to. By the time you talk to a florist ( I would be happy to help you with ideas) your style and dream is partially put together. Think about the feel you would like when you walk into the reception. Have fun!

Definitely start with a ceremony site and reception venue first. Once you decide on that, your wedding date can be determined based on availability. Next, shop around for a wedding coordinator - he/she will help with choosing vendors based on your vision and budget so you can concentrate on finding the perfect dress.

The venues (and perhaps the officiant) are definitely the first order of business. Then check out your wedding checklist for what to do when after that.
